It's really really not but I get that you're coping and trying desperately to defend your world view and opinions about link to the past since you're too stupid and brain rotted to actually like it for what it is so I'll forgive you this time.

Does your momma know you're frickin around on her computer, little boy?
>Designer of Zelda 1, AlttP, LA. Also helped on OoT.
Tezuka was the only reason why Zelda was ever good. Keep in mind he did this while doing Mario as well.
>t has been previously reported that when Tezuka included various non-Zelda Nintendo characters in Link's Awakening, that he didn't ask permission, assuming that he was OK to use them simply because they were Nintendo characters. However, when we ask him to confirm this story, he tells us a slightly different version. "I was the person who was in the position to say if that was okay, so I didn't have to ask permission," he says with a smile.
>Zelda Directors Explain Why They Prefer Link's Awakening Over A Ling To The Past
THE ANSWER: because the la remake is the newest zelda release and the "interview" is actually a scripted ad like they always do in japan.
I like LA mostly because of the glitches, it's a lot of fun to toy around with all of them and you can pretty much do anything in any order because of them.
I prefer "A Link to the Past". The game is already out, I still have access to it and can play to my heart's content. So, it doesn't really affect me. If "Zelda directors" have some problem with the game... Well, let them deal with it.
all Tezuka talked about in the interview was how he enjoyed the challenge of working with limited hardware. Aonuma had nothing to say really except that OoT made a lot of callbacks to LA. This was also when the LA remake came out so they're basically advertising it. They didn't even slightly suggest that ALttP was bad,
There's not much wrong with the remake aside from the price, $60 compared to $8 for the GBC version now but the original is definitely the one i prefer.
I think the art style is wonderful and doesn't fit one bit the game it's remaking. It's like redoing Majora's Mask with Wind Waker assets.
On the other hand; I would have loved something whimsical like Kaeru no Tame ni... in that artstyle.
I'm surprised how little people care for Seasons/Ages while praising LA.
Even just Seasons alone has a better soundtrack, better dungeons, better overworld design complete with an 'underworld' and a reasonably interesting gimmick.
Oracles are just too bloated with filler and pointlessness (like the rings) while LA was fairly quick in getting you to the next dungeon. The most dragged-out LA gets is the whole slog of getting Marin to the desert.
>Aonuma's opinion
Like I give a shit what Puzzleman thinks makes a good Zelda.
>he likes story more than gameplay
not a shock
>Puzzleman
the frick are you talking about
Personally I always thought Link to the Past, while a great game, was a tad overrated. So makes sense.
Link to the past is more story heavy though
>Link to the past is more story heavy though
Not really. It has fewer interactions with npcs and doesn't have a stupid errand quest chain with them
>and doesn't have a stupid errand quest chain
That's not story, you stupid tard
It is story, you dumbass

All directors came forward and stated this, Takashi included since he made both titles
>Puzzleman
literally who
LA ~=~ LttP anyway, but let's look at the legacy.
LA-->OoA/OoS ok sure but
LttP-->literally every big Zelda game of the last thirty years. It's the default, the gold standard.
Nah lttp is a hidden gem. LA led to gay shit like MM and WW
>a hidden gem
grumble grumble
>~=~
O_o?
I never liked LttP. It just felt bland and the overworld felt pretty dull and wasn't fun to explore.
It is probably my personal favorite, but I think most people would agree ALttP is technically better.
I love both but I have replayed LTTP more often because its larger spaces are more fun to run around.
worse zelda director
The Eiji Aonuma revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the Zelda series
I'd rank Twilight Princess over Wind Waker considering WWs "world" is literally a flat plane of ocean but to each his own
the only Zeldas I could tolerate were the GBC iterations, specially the Capcom ones
Shut up, homosexual.
why the frick are the capcom ones so expensive?
Oracles and Minish cap are insane
Who cares? They think Majora's Mask is a failure.
I liked the four swords series better, there is a lot of potential in competitive dungeon crawling.
MINISH CAP BROS ASSEMBLE

i hate how linear LA is so for that its worse than LttP but still a 9/10
It's really irrelevant when OoS and OoA blow both of them out of the water.
Seasons is the king of 2D zelda and aonuma is a hack

I see. Sorry. OP's pic is pretty misleading then.
>gameboy
>limited
gameboy was pretty powerful, he couldn't do fancy mode 7 effects, but dungeons could be almost the same size as link of the past
Well, they're right. But ALttP is also great.
What a shame about the remake.

1. Seasons/Ages
2. Link's Awakening DX
3. A Link to the Past
I'm surprised how little people care for Seasons/Ages while praising LA.

Don't forget the ring system. Tiny little bonuses and fun costumes are a great incentive to explore and doing a little bit of grinding.
The costumes felt like a missed opportunity. I mean, how hard could it have been to let you fire arrows as the moblin or rocks as the Octorok?
They brought it back in the last four swords game, and the usual system is much more meaningful.
Oracles are just too bloated with filler and pointlessness (like the rings) while LA was fairly quick in getting you to the next dungeon. The most dragged-out LA gets is the whole slog of getting Marin to the desert.
Ages has stupid shit like Rolling Ridge's minigames/dungeons and the dpad mashing to swim.
It always was, since the day it originally launched.
