I don't think Palworld is going to lead into any lost Pokemon sales. People don't care about Pokemon for the game, they care about the Pokemon creatures. Licensing, toys and other merchandise are the most important sources of Pokemon billions, the IP itself is the product.
Besides, Pokémon will copy Palworld and release a half baked version of it which paypigs will call superior based on brand loyalty alone.
