They didn't lose because they delayed. They lost because investors wanted a bump RIGHT NOW and that's not when Nintendo was planning to release it. If the Switch 2 was coming out this year it would be out next month.

I believe the Switch 2 would be stuck in the same situation as the PS5. Where everything is back ported to the Switch. And it's why Nintendo is delaying it until the last drop of semen is sucked dry from the Switch.
Eh I dont think so. This mostly comes down to a performance parity between generations. The ps4 was still a generational step far enough that downscaling the games for ps3 wasnt possible (even if I dont consider the games being made to be *that* much of a leap personally). This switch falls around the ps3 specs wise and the new system is speculated to be around a base ps4. If this holds true then you won't see much if any games games being back ported.
Is the dip worth buying? I don't really think Nintendo's gonna go broke, and they LOOK in good shape, compared to the other consoles at least. However, ever since the Gamecube, odd numbered generations were hits while evens shat the bed, like the old star trek movies. Considering the switch was at PS2 levels of sales, the next console might be a shitter.
They sure are. The thing is, this isn't the economy to release a full console, so it's a damned if they do damned if they don't choice. There's a reason there's been so much speculation about them experimenting more with phones/PC.
