Is "power" is the only thing that snoys and deckshills can fall back on because Nintendo has outdone them in every other way? How much did the Switch outsell the Deck by despite it being "more powerful" again?
Is "power" is the only thing that snoys and deckshills can fall back on because Nintendo has outdone them in every other way? How much did the Switch outsell the Deck by despite it being "more powerful" again?
We get it you love playing at 15 fps
You lost and you lost hard.
Why do people pretend that gabes hardware is the first ever UMPC?
Valve considers the deck a success. My biggest problem with the piece of shit is the dock is fricking terrible. Specifically going between handheld and docked. With the switch you put it in and wait 5 seconds. With the deck you put it in latch it it never bothers switching you then restart it and it might work. Unacceptable for a 60$ fricking dock
>Valve considers the deck a success
That's the most hilarious part. No fricking dignity, honesty, or shame. Just as disingenuous as every PC vegan on his platform.
So in your world if they don't sell more than whatever hypothetical competitor it isn't a success? The damn thing wasn't suppose to compete with the switch anyways. It was for people who wanted to play their valve library on the go more realistically in bed
In my world if you have an install base you're specifically advertising your flagship hardware to and less than 5% even give a shit then yeah it flopped. There's no spiritual successes in the big leagues.
The thing was sold out for months. They sold significantly more than what they predicted. How up your own ass are you? It was a success by every conceivable metric
>non retail product sold through queue
>sold out
Lol
>It was a success by every conceivable metric
LOL!
Both are correct.
BOTW and TOTK unironically do run at 10-15 FPS in the forest and on Deck it runs at stable 60FPS.
Nice so why did his tablet flop then?
Only sold in Anglo countries.
Cope.
With what?
Steam Deck blunder
Deck makes Shitch obsolete, I get it, you're brown, hence sour grapes.
Not really.
Yes really.
Agree to disagree
Why did you disappear after I posted a webm of you?
In what way is the Steam Deck, the best gaming handheld, a "flop"?
I wouldn't worry about it
because it doesn't have an eternal cult following of balding manchildren.
kbc
>PCMR
>not 10 million baldfat redditors
How did it flop if a sequel is in development? Many people saying this. No answers still.
>How did it flop if a sequel is in development?
Because you can make sequels to flops and blunders. See WiiU -> Switch
So in other words Deck 2 will be a smash hit and history will repeat itself? Deck chads eating good.
You guys are both wrong.
>t. LeGo chad.
K,b,c.
I do and I'm tired of pretending that I don't.
but enough about modern cumsoles
Must be similar to how much the iPhone outsold the Switch.
Crickets from OP kek. I thought apples to oranges were valid Snoyvy???
>power
>steam deck
Theyre kind of right. I didnt buy a Steam Deck for MO POWA, i bought it for a handheld option to play 20+ years of my PC game library, if Switch2 cant accomplish that then its clearly a different market demographic
>tfw it still cant get botw or totk to 60fps
Rog Ally at 35w might. That or the sequels. The great thing about UMPCs is that they'll actually innovate and continue to be made every year or so, so whatever console Nintendo comes out with is effectively worthless especially if emulation gets figured out. Switch has zero games with emulating anyway.
Sales thread?
Watch them ignore this post.
Why wouldn't they? There's no games there.
We can finally all admit that Animal Crossing is a non-game.
It's a limited minecraft.
I have said that for 20 years
Well yeah, revenue is useless
You're right, they did.
That is really impressive for an Animal Crossing game tbh, good for them.
COVID bonus.
shame none of those games require a 4070, imagine how much more money they could make if the games just looked better
graphics don't actually sell games
That's the joke
>calculated from PADs NA release
PAD is legitimately the only game I like on the list but come the frick on
That chart makes me sad.
Thank Valve for popularizing GAAS and MTX and China for gacha ( 26% of Steam users are Chinese)

>Palworld lost
Probably the most successful game released this year, they didn't lose at all.
dead multiplayer game 1% of players are currently still playing lol
Doesn't really matter, made its millions and we're likely going to similar, better clones in the future because of it.
nope the FOTM is over, nintendo won. watch pokemon sell billions again
ToTK or Wunder didn't have any staying power with normies either, but tendies don't have the balls to admit that.
Palworld by default is going to generate clones based off of sales alone. There are already a handful of them in development, and there is a chance one of them will actually deliver a game with solid game mechanics and replayability (which Palworld clearly lacked, hence its short shelf life.)
Nah
There is now a market for people who want a Pokemon-like without the shitty turned-based combat and stale monster-collecting tropes. Yes, there will be clones - granted none of them will be as successful as Pokemon (as that IP gets most of its money from merch either way,) but I do expect some older gamers to branch away from Pokemon out of spite or disappointment - if the industry offers a market for it.
Not even a Sonygay. More of a disappointed former Nintendo fan who's gone full PC for easy emulation when needed, honestly.
TotK couldn't even stay in the top 10 for 6 months. Not even in the top 30 anymore by... what, the start of this year?
ToTK sold 20 million copies
>goalpost moving
And nearly all of those sales were within the first release week.
Once word got out that it was overglorified DLC, the sales and social media buzz tanked after a few weeks.
This board is still discussing it hourly
Those threads are not discussion and you know it. It's idiotic the jannies will ban actual video game discussion trying to send them to /vg/ but leave those dogshit threads up every single fricking time.
Yes, but the discussion isn't generally positive, is it? It's either console-war trolling or people genuinely expressing their frustrations or disappointment with the game.
Yeah you're trying really really hard to make zelda games look bad. I was already aware of that.
PS2 is going to be outsold by the Switch
Cope and seethe
No way the Shitch will sell 170 million units. It won't reach 175 million, let alone 180 million that PS2 broke with ease.

Trump unironically likes Nintendo. He and Japan have a very long history and Nintendos Japanese CEOs historically have been close with him.

it'll have DLSS so it'll be way better for that reason alone.

why would you want to buy a new device that is behind the curve already on release? This only limits what the device is capable of, and the only benefit is that nintendo saves a few cents/dollars on manufacturing each unit at the reputation cost of being the budget pick
Because a cheaper device means that more people are able to buy it, and if that translates to popularity (like it did with the original switch), it means there will be a plethora of games to play. If you're not already invested in the AAA ps/xb landscape, then it's kind of the obvious choice. Especially if you already own a PC, most of the worthwhile titles are already there so the switch will have a lot less overlap with your library.
Most of the games I play wouldn't really benefit from the extra power.
The hard truth is people would rather buy into a tribe and defend it than just get the best. If the marketing is good, their friends are buying it, and they feel like they're "winning" that is literally all that matters to them. Games play a distant second fiddle to that. It's why everyone was calling the Wii U the Pii Poo, but all of a sudden when those same Wii U games came to the Switch they sold tens of millions of copies. For much of the masses games are just a means to socialize and have something to talk about, hence streamer culture. That's why it doesn't matter that the deck can blow the frick out of the switch every which way, people will still squirm around trying to defend the switch or attack the deck. That's the tribe they chose to buy into because of the marketing, their friends got it, whatever, and they need to defend that decision.
>all of a sudden when those same Wii U games came to the Switch they sold tens of millions of copies
Name 5
MK8 (by far the best selling game on the Switch), BotW, Smash, Splatoon, NSMBU, SM3DW
>inb4 smash and splatoon are totally new games and not just glorified port-
They aren't. Even without them, every single Wii U game suddenly weren't considered jokes anymore and sold way beyond what they did on their original system.
He based. Just consider how few first party Switch exclusive games there really are. So much for games selling consoles, it's literally just brand loyalty from wii zoomers and N64 millennials.
>brand loyalty
Brand loyalty got the WiiU to 13 million sold. That's how many ACTUAL Nintendo fans there are. 13 million. Everyone else is a casual "fan".
The Switch sold 140 million because 130 million normies liked the system.
Normies have brand loyalty to Nintendo but only when the console is popular. That's the sole reason they didn't buy the labo.
>MK8 (by far the best selling game on the Switch),
Remaster. Not even the same game with the same tracks and modes
>BotW
Launched after the WiiU flopped
>Smash
Switch exclusive
>Splatoon
Switch exclusive
>NSMBU

>SM3D
2 with exclusive content
So that's it? 2 games?
>Remaster
Stopped reading there.
>Remaster. Not even the same game with the same tracks and modes
COPE
>Launched after the WiiU flopped
Not an argument
>Switch exclusive
I'll give you Sm4.5h even though you don't deserve it and that game has the worst online of any Nintendo game.
>Switch exclusive
Splatoon 2 is not switch exclusive.
You couldn't name 5. And that's fine. You're not interested in honest discourse, and that's also fine.
I'm not him. You conceded that he named two. I just pointed out that three of the games you tried to discredit are objectively Wii U games. That's 5 total.
I never said he couldn't name two. Are you bad at this?
Disingenuous moron.
I conceded nothing.
Splatoon 2 and Smash Ultimate aren't WiiU games. BotW is but doesn't fit OPs narritive because it launched simultaneously on both consoles. And MK8D is leaps and bounds a better game than MK8. Not sure what else to say. This is public info, it's not like you're going to trick anyone.
They're hypocrites. They'll never be honest, they'll spin, lie and say whatever they need to think they've won. They're doing exactly what that post described as a tribe.
Projecting.
You got dunked on by
You might as well say "if you don't buy the newest graphics card immediately on release then there's not point because you're limiting yourself.
Anyone can shit out a giant "portable" device for $800. Switch 2 will, yet again, will have the best size/battery life/power/price ratio. And yes, it will be more powerful than Deck. Which is nothing special, admittedly, as Deck is already ancient.
Great schizo babble.
It's simple: those games were always great. Wii U itself was unattractive and limited their reach. That wasn't a problem with Switch.
>Great schizo babble.
>Wii U itself was unattractive and limited their reach
Don't you dumb homosexuals constantly say you buy the system for the games, especially the nintendo games? Those games you all shat on along with the hardware just to slurp them up as sloppy seconds for the switch because you're a sheep who does what the marketing tells him to? If you didn't buy a wii u, shut up.
Snoyvy isn't even a real Nintendo fan. He's a gen alpha moron who grew up with the switch (he was unironically underage in 2016 lmfao.) He calls real Nintendo fans who grew up during its golden Iwata era "cubesnoys", just archive it.
God I love emulating Shitch games, can't wait for Shitch 2 so I can keep emulating them!
I don't give a shit if you're trolling. Go frick yourself regardless.

Is there any concrete source for the power rumor or is it more tech illiterate "journalists" speculating about shit they don't understand?
STFU
>Can just emulate the Switch
why are the LGTBQ flag joycon colors so hard to get? everytime theyre sold out.
I buy them and scalp them on eBay for insane profit. Gotta tax the gays since they tax me.
Yup. Stronger when docked, weaker when porbable. Also actually has video games. Switch is a hybrid not a portable like gabe's tablet.
They are gonna use more teraflops in order to increase the game output
>Will be used differently
Like... backwards? With toothpaste?
This is what you get when a background in computing is not required for computer journalism.
The switch 2 will just be an even bigger step back in terms of graphical fidelity, especially as they keep delaying it.
Is that an issue? Only if they try and maintain parity with first party consoles as they've tried somewhat with switch. If they went back to the quirky days of the Wii, nds and 3ds they could make bank.
No, like... used to run the game instead of Linux and Proton in the background.
Well embedded os has its own issues, and you'd still need to add all the features people expect in a modern console or handheld. Linux can still run on a 486, it's all about how flashy you want it.
Didn't you already make this thread yesterday?
Huh? The thing hasn't even been revealed.
Hi Eric.
"Power" has never meant jack shit.
NES
SNES
Playstation
GameBoy
Playstation 2
Gameboy Advance
DS
Wii
3DS
Switch
All of these were underpowered by tech around them but still stomped the competition by having one thing: GAMES
People go where the games are.
I'm just amazed people try and dunk on Nintendo systems like its an own when it's been their whole gameplan since the Wii, you'd think they'd realise they're screaming into the abyss by now.
>5th thread in 24 hours
>Pic still says "Switch 2 will achieve better results"
BTW, the comparison the ANALyst has made was only to Switch 2's portable mode. In docked mode Switch 2 will be around twice as powerful meaning it will handily outperform Deck.
It is 2024 and video games do not look substantially better from 2014, at least in a way that actually improves enjoyment for most people.
Yeah, the quality of a hardware product's hardware is completely irrelevant.
If that shit did matter then the Switch wouldn't be the best-selling platform of all time.
It's not.
It does matter kek. The only reason why the Switch sells as well as it does is because it was able to play games reasonably well up until 2019 or so. It continued to run first party exclusives at reasonable settings until Scarlet and Violet, and TOTK ran at 30fps. If botw and Mario Odyssey ran at 10fps I guarantee you the switch would have a quarter of its sales.
I just hope it can play games, like multi-plats and stuff. I don't want another gen of portbegging and shitposting every.single.game not on Switch.
>I don't want another gen of portbegging and shitposting every.single.game not on Switch.
This is honestly what convinced me that Nintendo console warriors are the most obnoxious on this site the past few years.
It won't. Deck struggles with late 8th gen games. Cyberpunk is a "verified" title but dips into 20fps territory constantly.
CPU - Better than PS4 but worse than Series S
GPU - About the same as Base PS4
Ram - About the same as Series S
Here's the redpill:
modern devs shit their pants over the Switch not being HECKIN POWERFUL because that means their usual gig of shitting out unoptimized garbage won't work.
The Switch's weakness makes it stronger, as moronic diversity devs get filtered.
What games would make you buy a Nintendo Switch 2?
Tomodachi Life 2
I'd buy it for mass performance patches.
Backwards Compatibility + Framerate boost.

Mega Man Legends 3

The bog standard low end dev kit T239 SoC from Nvidia, which is the basis of Nintendo's customized version, is 1.6 TFlops. The SteamDeck is about 1.5. so article isn't true. Will be about the same. That is to say if Nintendo is doing zero customization. Their version will be on 8nm so it will be more performant at lower power so I'd expect a pretty big clock speed boost on CPU/GPU. They can also use faster LPDDR5 and add additional CUDA and Tensor cores to the package. Realistically it could be 1.5x the Steamdeck but I wouldn't let your hopes up. I'm mostly bummed about it being LCD and not OLED. Hopefully with DLSS we will get access to Nvidia filters too so we can unpissfilter their piss filtered games.
6800XT (RDNA2) = 20 TFLOPS
7800XT (RDNA3) = 37 TFLOPS
3080 (Ampere) = 29 TFLOPS
4070 (Lovelace) = 29 TFLOPS
Actual performance in videogames = the exact same.
TFLOPS between different architectures can't be compared 1 to 1.
>power

Nintendo hasn't had a powerful hardware in 25 years and it's still unironically used as an insult or a way to put down Nintendo. It's actually insane.
Anti Nintendo fanboys live in a perpetual groundhog day. Literally no Nintendo gay expects strong hardware.
>Anti Nintendo fanboys live in a perpetual groundhog day.
That makes no sense the other way around. Are you dumb?
Done.
Switch used the most powerful mobile SoC available in 2017
No it didn't. The successor to the X1 was released in 2017
>The successor to the X1 was released in 2017
The switch was already in production by the time that thing was even ready. You want nintendo to HALT production to use unproven tech?
The only justification for that was a cheaper price. Now it's not even going to have that, you can literally buy a Deck from Valve for cheaper than you can buy the base Switch at this point. Give it another year or more for Valve to drop the price further for the higher end models and the Switch 2 likely being $400 as Nintendo takes their Apple tier cut and it becomes even more of a joke.
are these cheaper decks in the room with us now?
yes
I'm literally using one right now
>you can literally buy a Deck from Valve for cheaper than you can buy the base Switch at this point
You can buy two switch lites for the price of one deck. It's crazy how much shills lie for gabe. Are you in a cult?
He's talking about second hand sales as people dump the original Deck for the Oled Deck.
Switch also has second hand sales dumbfrick
Oh boy a refurbished switch for $10 cheaper than a refurbished deck and only $40 cheaper than a new switch, what a steal bless those gigajews
>refurbished switch >>>:~~*~~*((
>refurbished deck:
>save $120
🙂
>save $10 for a vastly worse device
🙁
>wanting to buy refurbished hardware
>needing to save money on toys
I bet you spend your tax refund each year on toys, if you even have a job. All you've proven is that the second hand market for Deck is so horseshit that they're already marked down over 50% and still getting outsold by an 8 year old tablet
I bought the best version of both the original deck and the oled. The whole point is that nintendo will not have the price advantage with the switch 2 despite it looking like it'll be weaker as well.
It will have a price advantage, but it doesn't need a price advantage. It's got the has Nintendo games advantage. And no the <1% of gamers who pirate, and the 1% of that 1% who have a steam deck or other UMPC is utterly irrelevant to the gaming market.
>it'll be weaker as well
That's just another advantage. Look back at every competitive hardware circle each gen. The weakest cheapest always wins.
The weakest doesn't win because it's weak, it wins because being weak typically makes it cheaper than the competition.
>reading comprehension
Also you're wrong, you'd only be able to buy one, and the switch lite is trash.
tendies lost
Won actually
The B has been let loose from its cage, PONTIFICATE before I lose my patience and kill it.
Won so hard you have zero games in 2024, zero third party support and your biggest 2023 release is completely forgotten. OOF.
Sure.
I accept your concession.
Take it. It means nothing to me.
power is pointless when the games run sub 30fps anyway due to muh graphics gays
It's true though. DLSS will eliminate the need for powerful hardware.
Every game will be rendered at 720p or 1080p native with dlss to look good. Don't need cutting edge tech to render at 720p
>Will Be Used Differently to Possibly Achieve Better Results
How many Switch games actually did this outside of Super Mario Odyssey?
this isn't honestly that insane. I remember thinking most WII games looked and played worse than a lot of gamecube games.
>I remember thinking most WII games looked and played worse than a lot of gamecube games.
That's not an unpopular opinion
>power is all that matters, not games
>is outclassed by the PC and Xbox
>yah well they have nogames
>97% of the PS5 library is also on PC/xbox
While technical power is one thing it's really up to how Nintendo use that power and that's easily the most important thing. Will Nintendo follow industry trends and have extremely detailed characters in extremely detailed worlds and yet again struggle to hit stock resolutions/60fps, or will Nintendo completely ignore that and prioritize resolution/framerate over asset fidelity leading to only small bumps in the quality of assets over Switch titles. I'm expecting them to follow trends, which appears to be the case given the curent state of releases.
>I'm expecting them to follow trends
Same. They've followed nearly every other cancerous trend so far, they're just very behind the curve so it takes them a while.
no it will be fps based, at least for Mario games
Get ready to go back to the days of 30fps 3d Mario platformers, and say hello to Naughty Dog asset quality Mario.
They will follow stale trends as far as game development/monetization goes (hell, they're already doing it,) but when it comes to hardware and other technical aspects? No, they're too cheap and greedy for that; have been for ages now.
What hardware do you think Nintendo should upgrade the Switch 2 to instead of cheaping out on an Nvidia Tegra Orin?
No idea, not a tech or hardware guy, just basing it off of trends they've established since the Wii.
They are cheap and prefer to keep things cheap. Not just with hardware, but development costs as well.
Don't comment on things you know nothing about, the Tegra Orin is the best available for this job, Nintendo isn't cheaping out at all on this device, hell the Tegra X1 was the best available for the original Switch too.
Oh, so they're going back to the GC days where they actually care about hardware output eh?
I legitimately wonder why. Guess they're realizing that they can't take the cheap route anymore, with phones gaining hardware advantages and steamdeck emulating their shit. Perhaps they don't have a choice anymore.
Hardware design has changed, Nintendo's engineers are far less focused on the CPU/GPU, and even selections for things like Ram are heavily limited, it's not at all like the old days, and this is a good thing, the past hasn't really been about Nintendo's engineers being cheap, it's been about them being fricking moronic, AMD could have easily have offered Nintendo a significantly faster total package probably for less than what Nintendo were paying for every WiiU APU, but Nintendo were hard set in their goals, which thankfully failed. It's not that Nintendo care about what the hardware is capable of, it's that Nvidia are offering Nintendo the best deal, and this is a significant gain for both parties, Nintendo get hardware that's technically a generation ahead of the PS5/XS, and Nvidia are able to enjoy economy of scale on these APUs driving up their profitability in their other markets for this hardware.
>Guess they're realizing that they can't take the cheap route anymore
This is the cheap route.
>with phones gaining hardware advantages and steamdeck emulating their shit. Perhaps they don't have a choice anymore.
These aren't competition for the Switch.
idort here with all gaming systems so my opinion is unbiased. sonygays are the worst community in all of gaming and it's no wonder they're filled with 3rd world filth
The future isn't consoles, it's PC and mobile.
The only reason the Switch is a massive success is because phones and pads still aren't up-to-par when it comes to delivering a quality gaming experience on par with console & PC games.
You can play RE Village on your Iphone right now, and there have been major releases on tablets since a decade ago, what's your new excuse?
Yes, but the problem is no longer hardware-oriented, it's now a problem of small screens and shitty touch controls holding things back.

Two more weeks?
2 weeks, months, years, it'll happen eventually. As the PC and Mobile markets grow, so will the dependence on trying to get into those industries
>consoles are dying
>mobile and PC market is growing
>both Sony and XBox are kneeling to Valve
Yeah it's just a matter of time.
Nintendo is doing just fine, though
https://companiesmarketcap.com/nintendo/revenue/
Nintendo is making less and less revenue each passing year.
>sales
It's about kneeling to Steam. Like how XBox is going to allow users to access it from their consoles, or how PS wants to go multiplat so they bring their games to PC.
PC went multiplat like 15 years ago. There isn't a single AA or AAA exclusive on PC that isn't specifically a keyboard intensive interface or an indie that just released.
Also, 99% of steam users are sucking Microsofts wiener via windows.
Alright.
>PC went multiplat like 15 years ago.
Doesn't matter, any game that's released on Steam is a PC game, period.
>Also, 99% of steam users are sucking Microsofts wiener via windows.
Utter nonsense since nobody pays for Microsoft or defends them at every occasion.
Yeah they're making less and less revenue each passing year.
>nobody pays for Microsoft
99% of Steam users are on Windows.
>Yeah they're making less and less revenue each passing year.
Revenue is an irrelevant statistic without factoring in expenses. Also it's normal for revenue to decline at the tail end of a product cycle.
>99% of Steam users are on Windows.
And nobody pays them. Are you really this tech illiterate to not know this?
>Revenue is an irrelevant statistic without factoring in expenses.
Ok, but Steam doubled its revenue from 2020 to 2023, yet Nintendo's keep getting smaller.
>And nobody pays them.
Yes they do.
>Steam doubled its revenue from 2020 to 2023
Revenue is an irrelevant statistic without factoring in expenses.
>Yes they do.
You are really moronic, do you even work? Almost all companies use free key activation tools to "own" Windows lmao.
>Revenue is an irrelevant statistic without factoring in expenses.
Nintendo is still making less revenue.
Because Nintendo has product cycles.
Ok, where's the new product? Their revenue is declining, yet they haven't announced anything. This year is going to be even worse without their heavy hitters.
>Their revenue is declining, yet they haven't announced anything
They don't need to. They're coasting into a perfectly normal transition period between products. This year and next year will absolutely be the worst year's revenue and profit wise for Nintendo in the last 7 years. And every investor and market analysts will tell you this because it's completely normal.
>PC went multiplat like 15 years ago.
You're a zoomer tourist. Never breathe again.
>Revenue
lol
lmao
>or how PS wants to go multiplat so they bring their games to PC
Doesn't matter. Any game that's release on Playstation is a Playstation game. Period.
>It's a playstation game even though it plays much better on PC, can be modded and actually be owned
That ain't it chief.
I disagree, vegan.
Man look at this seethe. God I love emulating Shitch gaymes.
Sure.
Anon, stop holding your tears behind that passive-aggressiveness
>consoles are dying
Not really. PS5 and Xbox Series are tracking basically even with their last gen contemporaries and Switch is way up over WiiU and 3DS combined so it's showing growth as far as hardware sales go.
im buying the switch and buying the games i love
you can have fun with your "mobile games"
Switch 2 thread? Frick it, if trips, it literally get announced tomorrow
I think the main selling point of the Deck is it plays everything and is basically an open source handheld.
Only pchomosexuals are obsessed with specs because without those they cant play or emulate shit
I would also like achievements & the ability to record more than 30 seconds.
Why can't the Switch do this? Also, I stole this game and used the money I saved on Steam.
Sweet Baby thanks you for supporting one of its partners.
Don't care. Valve games suck anyway, and SBI doesn't make bits download slower.
Been there. It's a snoozefest.
Pretty sure it does. It's unplayable on the Switch at postage stamp resolutions and 20fps.
>It's unplayable on the Switch at postage stamp resolutions and 20fps
Doesn't seem to be the case. BotW, God of War, Monster Hunter World, Elden Ring, GTAV, ToTK, MH Rise, Bloodborne etc etc etc etc already proved 30fps with drops is pretty normal. You're bad at this. Have you tried being better at this?
I'm not playing a game at less than 90fps. That's for poor browns.
Didn't ask.
>I asked, and I appreciate your response, manly PChad.
You're welcome, poor pedophile.
Sure.
i'm calling the cops. enjoy prison homosexual
Doesn't need to.
dlss is not enough bruh.
>Capital letter for a company
I hope you atleast get paid, otherwise this is just sad
WHY is anyone even arguing about wether the Steam deck is better than the Switch?
Even if it was, it has a very narrow group of people to appeal to, it was designed for a very niche market, that has other options on its same category of handheld PC's.
What is the appeal of a really nice piece of equipment very little people are interested in?
PC vegans are cultists who preach their dogma constantly.
>it has a very narrow group of people to appeal to,
That's the thing, it doesn't. It appeals to literally everybody who cares about video games and portability, whether they realize it or not. I have a switch, I grew up with nintendo, but I'm never buying a console ever again. It is not just a handheld pc, it is a handheld pc with all the benefits, and far more, of a console. The only reason people think otherwise (flagrant fanboys aside) is because there's been practically zero marketing for it. All valve would have to do is market the deck, and get it into retailers and more countries and they could dominate the space. I think nintendo is smart enough to know this, alongside all the comparisons that are already being made, making the deck sound better and giving it more exposure. Which is why they're being very cautious over announcing it and taking so long.
>That's the thing, it doesn't. It appeals to literally everybody who cares about video games and portability, whether they realize it or not
No it doesn't. It sold like 5 million. The average handheld console sells like 80 million. It's a novelty device like every other UMPC. Your entire post is peak gaslighting and FUD posting. Get a fricking grip on reality. Your online cliques are no representative of the gaming market in the slightest and your hope is entirely based on spite for Nintendo.
>No it doesn't. It sold like 5 million
Why do sales matter to you as a consumer? The smart answer as a console user would be support. That doesn't apply to the deck. It gets support organically and even from other users like with emudeck or decky loader. It has gotten far more games and support naturally over two years than the switch has in its whole life.
>Why do sales matter to you as a consumer?
They matter to me as a counter argument to someone saying a poorly selling product has mass appeal.
>It has gotten far more games and support naturally over two years than the switch has in its whole life.
Less games than any PC anyone already has.
>Less games than any PC anyone already has.
That's not what he argued kek.
>They matter to me as a counter argument
Then why counter an argument about the Switch library and support with PC's library?
Checks out since Nintendo is just Japanese EA now.
>That's not what he argued kek.
Because they never have an answer to why a second PC playing the exact same games is something anyone needs.
Why does somebody need a console which you can already perfectly emulate on pc?
>w-well uh... it's harder to find yuzu online now. w- ryujinx?? well uhh i get to support the devs...
Those all hold less weight than someone simply wanting to play their pc games away from their desk.
>Why does somebody need a console which you can already perfectly emulate on pc?
Oh it's bait never mind
There's zero difference between emulating a game and owning it on a platform to play it that way. The ONLY difference when emulation is as advanced as Yuzu was is that one way is official and the other isn't. Cry about it.
I disagree.
>There's zero difference between emulating a game and owning it on a platform to play it that way
Wrong.
Emulation lets you have many QoL changes and lets you play at higher framerate/resolution than the original.
Cope
That's the importance of marketing. It's so people who don't know learn about its existence and what it's capable of. You want to align yourself with nintendo because you don't know any better.
>Less games than any PC anyone already has.
That's the funny part too, it's getting a lot better with game compatibility than modern windows is. Often has no problems playing old games windows struggles to run, like fear.
Better than aligning with Valve
>That's the funny part too, it's getting a lot better with game compatibility than modern windows is
Two more weeks?
>Better than aligning with Valve
In what way? Valve supports open source software, digital refunds, free online, good customer service and game preservation. Nintendo supports overcharging customers, limited time digital releases, ignoring hardware defects, bullying fan project creators and the worst paid online service in gaming.
>Two more weeks?
There isn't a single good game that doesn't run on Steam OS kek.
>In what way?
I'm not interested in debating my personal opinion on a corporation. I just think Nintendo is better than Valve and there's nothing you can do about it.
>There isn't a single good game that doesn't run on Steam OS kek.
I'm also not going to list games so you can say they're bad. Get new material.
>I'm not interested in debating my personal opinion on a corporation.
What a cowardly position. I can easily debate my position because it goes beyond "They make le good games bro they are my le childhood!!" If you had actual convictions you'd want to debate this.
>I just think Nintendo is better than Valve and there's nothing you can do about it.
Spoken like a true 10 year old.
>I'm also not going to list games so you can say they're bad.
Destiny 2 simply isn't a good game and it isn't available on the Switch either. Get an actual argument.
Sure.
Sure indeed tendie.
The biggest selling point for me, the moment I knew I was done with consoles forever, was when I booted up the Deck for the first time and my 16 year old account I had barely used off and on had every game I had ever bought in it right there ready and waiting. Contrast that with the Switch which had left all my games behind, which has always been a problem with consoles in general. The Deck instantly proved itself better and I hadn't even done anything with it yet. Since then this thing has been a dream. Is it a 100% seamless pure console-like experience for normalgays? Not quite yet, and I think that's part of the reason Valve isn't even trying to really push it out there, we'll see what happens with the Deck 2. But christ man, I wish I had something like this growing up, I would've saved so much money and been able to play so many more games.
You're loving the lack of IP counter, aren't you
>Better than aligning with Valve
Is it? Can you actually explain why?
Because he has nostalgia for the Wii and thinks post-Iwata corpse puppet Nintendo is still the same company, or worse, grew up with the Switch (grim.)
I can explain why. I won't however.
False.
>two more commercials
>trust the plan
It has a Nintendo logo on it, it will sell well.
The Deck's been out for almost two years and it still gets regular seetheposts. How does based Valve do it?
can't wait to see the new power in full display in the new pokemon games
they will look amazing
It's a stupid idea for a console unless it's your only one. I much preferred having unique, custom games made for the GBA or DS/3DS than just playing the same multiplat titles you can get on every other console or pc.
And not just because I want exclusivity, but I had FUN with the kind of games that got produced for handheld you know? It was like taking a break from the big action games and playing some rpg, tactical, cards spinoff or whatever.
Gba and ds gave us dbz supersonic warriors 1 and 2. That kind of creative spinoff is gone now.
Switch 2 being underpowered is a blessing in disguise if it means aaa scam games will avoid it.
Why would it matter? tendies will swallow any shit regardless
I want consoles to die, honestly. They're a cancer.
This, but Valve
Consolecucks are cancer. I bet you love that paid online and terrible performance.
Sure, just not as much of a blight as PC vegans.
>vegans
What a gay insult. Is that really the best you can come up with? Does it make you mad that I can play your games in a much better state? That corporate wiener must taste like a divine meal if you defend them this much.
Sure.
Yeah indeed.
> Less power is good, goyim!
The absolute state of parasitic corporations.
Yeah, reminds me when Sonygays were claiming PS5 being less powerful than Xbox Series X was good
PS5 is dominating Xbox Series
Who cares about sales? It runs games worse
God I hate Nintendo fans. Corporate golems of the lowest sort.
This but PC vegans
Two more weeks?
Timeframe doesn't matter. It will happen, you will seethe and I'll drink your tears. Till that time, I'll keep emulating Shitch gaymes, ciao.
Two more weeks?
Switch will always outsell the deck because parents won't buy their kid a deck.
