troony GAME
troony ANON
Uchikoshi is a moron for putting this shit in the game.
Nah, he's worse in the 2nd game. Him wearing Saito's face makes him trash tier.
I can understand why they did what they did with Date, considering having to keep from spoiling the first game, but seeing how far his character and his relationship with Aiba slid back in this game made me wish they just went with a whole new cast, this shit sucked
>considering having to keep from spoiling the first game
Oh come on, who the frick looks at the 2nd game and say "oh man I hope I don't get spoiled about the first game when I play it's sequel", this shit is moronic.
They could've done a tenmyouji and say he had a codename for a secret mission or something, like Falco.
but then what was the point of having the spoiler question in the beginning?
I dunno what the frick it changes, considering the silicone Saito mask shit, but it's obviously to just get around paying for the VA for Date's real body to come back
I can't understand it. What kind of moron plays a sequel before the first game? There's a ton of references to the first game as it is, pretending like you could play them in either order is dumb.
Tons of people do that if they think you don't need to read the first one first. Uchikoshi just wants to make a game that's actually successful for once.
This has to be some sort of edit. Right?
lol
Poor Mizuki got groomed by pedos.
>backwards thinking, toxic masculinity
>pedo groomers are okay and if you don't think so IM GONNA BEAT YOU UP
Uhhh
> 1 character says 1 thing you disagree
>"NOOooOOoOooOooOOO CANCEL THE GAME IMMEDIATLYYYY"
you remind me of a certain group
>homosexuals are on the same level as cripples and israelites
BASED
Came here to post this.
It's a pozzed game, glad that go woke go broke continues to filter these games. Glad it flopped.
Wait, rednecks can read?
How the hell did they manage to put a generic racist rant like this into the game? "Everyone that thinks different from me should be beaten". Such a selfish thought. Does she change her dumb view or does the game support it?
That's during the epilogue already
>"I would beat up anyone who persecutes others based on their race"
>generic racist rant
Come on now, are you being moronic on purpose?
She would have to beat up half of Twitter.
Be honest, aside from this, is Mizuki likable in the sequel?
I think seeing things from her perspective helped to make her feel a bit less one-note. I kinda hated her in the first one but didn't mind her as much here.
Yes. Both of them are.
I absolutely hate her super strength and still dislike her but I can at least admit she's not as bad as she was in the 1st
to be honest she is a mary sue
>detective but she is moronic and Aiba has to hard-carry the investigations
No, she isn't
I dislike Mizuki and I found her way more likeable in the brief scenes where she was young.
This is why I didn't buy the game by the way.
That character is excellent, I cant believe the Nippon tbh were able to get away with bringing back an offensive character of a fat ugly degenerate troony but they did and they used the inclusion clause to get away with it, beautiful really. The western devs that mumble under their breath when they are forced to shoehorn in awful pozzed characters and storylines should take notes, this is how we win.
He strategically placed 5 lines of dialogue to prevent the game from being cancelled despite having tons of character sexualization. Uchikoshi truly is a genius.
6, there's also a joke Tama makes.
I still think the first one was worse with propaganda
Isn't she a cop? Her job was literally created to prosecute minorities and protect property
yeah, and they throw people into the psync machine based on the flimsiest form of 'consent'. I know the psyncs can't be used as evidence but holy shit imagine some cop deciding to get a warrant on your shit based on shit he claims he saw in your fricking dream
Well the idea of "thought" police isn't a new one to real life japan with The Peace Prevention Law of 1925. They got a blank check to commit any form of violence on suspects even stop news reports if they went against the "national policy."
>Single-handedly carries both games in your path
I'm so glad they kept the saito face/voice. No way 89 would've been able to deliver his lines as good
They literally have the same voice actor.
Are you daft? They clearly don't.
They literally have the same voice actor, moronic homosexual.
You're literally an idiot
You even admitted it fricking yourself here
Are you gonna pretend it didn't happen?
That's not me you moron, and that post even proves they don't have the same VA in english
>inb4 hurr but muh nipponese asiaticspeak
You couldn't be more stupid if you tried
Only subhuman EOP trash uses dub, whiny homosexual. Keep up with more self-own, you keep getting more pathetic with each post.
Saito and Falco have the same VA in Japanese, but they don't in English.
Oh no, the horrors, imagine having to hear D.C.Douglas deliver horny lines.
>damage controlling this hard after being wrong
How pathetic
>imagine having to hear D.C.Douglas deliver horny lines.
that'd be funny tbqh.
?t=82
reminder that she won, everyone's 'struggles and hardships' mean absolutely nothing in a fake world where they can be fixed with a cheat code
Anon... how do you know our reality is not the same?
no worries, we have a liberty island so we're good to go
seeeeeeex
Kagami continues to be the best.
Mizuki was pretty annoying this time around I mean the big sister Mizuki, she has no right to be exactly the goddamn same as our Mizuki
Who?
I think he's talking about Kaniza, it's easy to get the name mixed up after all.
Bibi. exactly the same everything, including hairstyle/outfit/vehicle/personality to 18-year old Mizuki was horseshit
He's in the OP, it's the guy in green
Why do bibi and mizuki have the exact same style sense and personality, that makes it BORING
>Boss had a kid with super strength just like Mizuki the whole goddamn time during the first game that was MIA
>Boss lets her adopted kid moonlight as a thief and work with Yakuzas
>Boss sends SWAT teams against her own officers, before any kind of indication that shit would go down
>Boss gave the SWAT teams permission to shoot to kill during these engagements, during which two of the individuals involved were her own people
Boss what the frick
>Boss doesn't tell Date the location of Naix's HQ after he is attacked in 1 but finds it in 5 minutes when Ryuki asks her
>Mentally unstable officer literally shoots a civilian, Boss decides the best course of action is to pressure him by giving him a time limit of 3 days to make him act even more rash and unhinged
that one is easy, picking on crazy people is funny.
That's why the Divergent ending is the best, giving the Great Revelation to the schizophrenic character whose one step away from getting committed anyway is the closest I've ever felt to feeling like a Lovecraft monster. I don't need "Satisfying conclusions" or "character arcs" so long as I can drive a man to madness with the truth of the world.
You are dumb and easily gullible. Uchikoshi proved that you don't need to be good at writing if people like (You) are easily impressed.
I thought Boss sending in the SAT was way too far until the timeline twist and you realize that it's the day after Amame's first Psync, meaning Ryuki likely figured out Amame is the one who killed Tearer.
Mizuki was still on the scene just to investigate the corpse in the freezer and the SAT team explicitly says they have orders to take her down as well for no apparent reason. Boss didn't say shit to her after Lien's Psync, or try to stop her from going, just sent the SAT team. Why?
The SAT mentions that Boss basically knows that Mizuki is going to fight back (and ends up being correct) the team was mostly for taking down Gen, because he can casually slap like 50 dudes, it isn't until they get to the park that they mention they swapped to live rounds, and Dante and Mizuki back down from that alone
and what was Boss' basis to suspect Mizuki would just not take Gen and crew in for the corpse in the freezer? One of her subordinates, and she just gives the order to off her just like that?
Mizuki constantly breaks the rules, including using the Psync machine without them being there + is known to disobey orders for friends. I might be putting false memories in my head, but i'm pretty sure the SAT mention they just have permission to take her down too, if she resists
They say they're there to take down two monsters, meaning Gen and Mizuki, and nothing about permission. Maybe the Japanese does, but the translation just makes it sounds like Boss put a APB on her as soon as she left ABIS headquarters.
And what excuse could Gen come up with that would make Mizuki let a fricking corpse in the freezer slide? A corpse that's clearly connected to the HB case?
>best
Date is still the man without a doubt
>worst
Hate to say it but Boss really got on my nerves this time. I feel like she's just there to put up roadblocks for no good reason.
Where the frick is the secret room?
Look ALL THE WAY to the right, there is a secret diary that tells you where it is, also be prepared for the ressurrection of the worst puzzle in Dino Crisis 1 after that, only more tolerable this time since they show you the notes.
Thanks, the constant interruption was driving me insane
I remember Uchikoshi's past games having Q&As. How long after release does he usually do them?
Anybody who thinks Bibi is a good character and not a low effort plot device is moronic
It's just an extra Mizuki so you can have a threesome with bro, don't overcomplicate it.
>Two petite bratty tomboys with super strength taking turns destroying your pelvis & sitting on your face.
need
I'm not usually this horny about a game I've just finished but I think at this point I just need some kind of catharsis from how underwhelming the main story was.
But I don't like Mizuki(s), she has a shitty personality that can only be fixed with rape correction.
TWO CARLOS?
I mean yes? It's the same deal as Gen's mask and Shoma's aging being there for the big twist. The twist really stands out because of it but everything else is kinda worse because of it in my opinion. Still enjoyed the game but less than the first.
I have never felt this fricking stupid in my life before but I literally cannot solve the balloon card puzzle thing with the 3 cards and the arrow card.
What the frick is this? Not even Layton could make me feel this moronic
Someone free me, can't post pic because range banned lmaoo
Same as the previous ballon puzzle, it may not make sense initially because the words are abbreviated
This is the first one though? After Gen's Somnium.
Starting from the left, follow the arrows down to arrange the letters to spell out a word. The word is one is on something nearby the monument, which you can just use in place of solving the puzzle
It might just be the dementia getting to me, but were any of the puzzles in AI1 this hard? I swear, at least 70% of players get stuck on this one
For me I thought I had to replace the letters rather then just follow the lines. Same deal with the first Escape Room, thought there was some equation I had to do to the numbers rather then just rotate them
Same, it took me forever to solve the first escape room, because I thought the rotation would be following the table or something dumb
I'm still stuck on it for frick's sake. 12 letter word, someone spoonfeed me so I can move on
go read an FAQ
nvm I got it, the trick is that the answer isn't actually any proper word but more nonsense lmao
I tried it earlier but I managed to misspell it that time so I never tried it again
HORI INST UNDG or something like that
yeah I was trying too hard, what a waste of time
thanks anyways
That one is undoubtedly the worst puzzle since I kept dimissing what I was trying to do halfway through since the letters I was getting when I tried to solve it looked like complete nonsense. I hope this shit at least makes more sense in Japanese.
it does
It's only hard because it's not clear that it would repeat itself, it feels like there should be another letter, or the diagram should've been closer to indicate it's the same word
it's because it's in english, I might be remembering wrong but in japanese audio you already hear people referring to that place with a shortened name so the answer makes more sense in japanese
I think it's the concept of canon, I've heard people claim that the japanese don't have the concept of it the same way westerners do, I used to think that was bullshit, but I think I understand now with all the reboots and retcons that the japanese come up with if they feel like it.
in this case, english fanbases obsess over what's canon to the point of being braindead and missing the point of V3's message, but the diverge ending is partly treated as a joke in AI2
that or everyone's used to Uchikoshi's bullshit to the point that we can't be bothered to care
I was legitimately stumped on this one. I eventually got it by pure chance and inputting everything. I couldn't think of why HO RAIN STUN DG was the answer.
It's the best they could do in translation. It's WAY easier in Japanese since it goes
ほ ん
ち ら
け か
and so you get ほらけんちか instead of the abomination that is the abbreviated shit you get in english
how long did it took you to learn japanese? i'm gathering resources from /jp/ and mostly trying to memorize characters and learn furigana and katakana for now
I only started in the middle of 2020 since i was bored and stuck in the house cause of 'rona.
I'm still a ways away, need to read harder shit that isn't just vidya and doujins and actually talk to japanese people.
A year and a half of anki everyday plus grammar textbooks should be fine as it was for me when it comes to learning vocabulary and reading comprehension. Then you have to immerse yourself in japanese media and swear off of subtitles at that point.
Thanks man.
Apparently the composer for this is the same as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, which I love. Any good music? I've heard "Nemesis Identified" which uses FF6's soundfont and is great.
>EN
I honestly think both AI games have a mostly forgettable soundtrack, the Infinity series and Zero Escape had much more memorable music. I quite like the music that plays in the escape rooms in Tearer's somnium but I can't find it anywhere on YouTube.
To be fair, nothing can top Morphogenetic Sorrow because Shinji Hosoe is way too good.
She's the new villain because she fricked So and had a criminal baby, so naturally she'll become a main antagonist in 3. Kneel before Uchikino!
This is the only memorable song
For me it's this one
I heard it again in my head months ago without remembering the exact title so I spent a good few minutes searching the OST
Every time it played it was a good scene
I think my favorite themes are still Boss’ room theme and Kamakura’s theme. I think my favorite new theme is the Naix theme though.
sad clown music and the soundtrack to the Pokemon Go spoof are pretty good
with how much Shoma and Amame danced around being related for absolutely no goddamn reason I'm surprised their mom was never shown and her identity was never relevant.
AI 3 confirms their mother is Hitomi
Also Boss and Hitomi are sisters
Reminder: Every copy of Ai: The Somnium Files 2 - Nirvana Initiative is personalized.
This completely slipped my mind. Do we know what its used for?
Are you serious? Half the thread is talking about the secret ending you get from it. Go back to the first time you meet Tokiko and tell her the code.
Oh frick I'm getting too old. Completely forgot about that. Thanks
1 action music(https://youtu.be/Zzi0P8ZdiSk) > 2 action music
1 fight scenes > 2 fight scenes
what a downgrade of a game
Can someone explain Ryuki's schizo scenes? Did he get those from TC-Perge or did he already have them from the start? Because it felt he first watched the video and became a schizo and then the TC-Perge made it worse?
I had the exact same question, but I think it's a combination of mental illness and the ability to serve as a vessel for a Frayer. Considering he does the exact same thing when we answer Tokiko's questions correctly, it's possibly his mind is buckling under the strain of having essentially two people, him and (You), controlling him at the same time. Don't ask me why this doesn't happen with Date or Mizuki, they just can't Fray hard enough I guess.
or maybe Ryuki can't Fray well enough, Date was able to remember the Mizuki ending in 1 in other timelines without going schizo
Date had sort of a frayer in the first game. He knew stuff he wouldn't know unless he went to the other timelines. Honestly it was a missed opportunity that Ryuki didn't tell him about different timelines, we would've gotten something more.
The way I see it, it's the echoes of you and Tokiko using Ryuki to shatter reality in half echoing back and forward through time from that moment. Even if you the player haven't done it yet it's still happened already by the time you start the game - God Tokiko talks to you several times during the intro to the game and later on through Mama, meaning her ascension has already occured. Because of the way that knowledge is passed back and forth through time via the medium of the player Ryuki has always subconsciously known that reality is fake, but it's only when seeing the Tearer videos that he's reminded of that and almost achieves Moksha.
I gotta say, I'm glad these black bar generals are back, even for a short while.
Honestly I played the game entirely first and then came back here, I never trust the newbies to spoiler properly nowadays.
>frayshit happens
>some like it, others think it's convoluted.
>DR3V ending happens
>millions of morons start going apeshit around the globe.
Is it the proper gatekeeping? The lack of an anime adaptation? The lack of fujobaits? It's funny how Uchikoshi tries to pander to mentally ill trannies but they're all playing danganronpa instead.
Also I like both series, I just wanna understand why drgays are so much more moronic in general.
DR is one hell of a lot more popular. god only knows the autism that could come out of these series if they had just a tad more people into them
>2028 is when Ushikoshi drops his magnum opus
Um...Bros, what would this wild ride entail for us?
Uchikoshi's games are simply not popular. No such thing as gatekeeping or any of that stuff.
There's also the fact that Danganronpa first got popular on fricking Something Awful, the most putrid site in history, then Tumblr gays got obsessed with it, so of course it's fans are batshit insane.
Danganronpa V3 had the whole "Danganronpa is fiction but is it tho?" thing at the end and people took that as an "It was all a dream/TV show" ending, and nobody likes an it was all a dream ending. If AI3 ended with Date waking up from a coma these threads would shit themselves as well.
But V3's ending how even if they were fake, their feeling about the tragedies were real and them wanting to fight back against the world who wants them dead for entertainment was kino.
Yeah, but you gotta understand, the Danganronpa fanbase is mostly morons who only like it for the "crazy" designs and vibrant colors.
>Date wakes up from the coma
>The world is the exact same as in his coma
I kind of expected the twist this time to be that you're inside someone's Somnium the whole time (most likely Ryuki's as he was going apeshit and seeing weird things). Instead it's just yet another "we want to make contact with the player" twist.
Uchi's writing is too autistic for most people. only the chosen morons can handle listening about crystallization of glycerin while freezing to death or 10 straight minutes of dialogue about simulation theory
For one frayshit is bonus content. In dr3 it was the entire payoff for the whole franchise.
Frayshit is nothing revolutionary though, it's literally the same as third eye shit in Ever17 only it was funnier there because (You) were a e-girlcon
that's literally what the line says though
OH THE EPIGENETIC ECSTASY
>2 hours in: haha funny scientist man
>20 hours in
How the hell can you people play this and not die of cringe?
the cringe is part of the charm
also you get the Nil number from the scene before that so it's all technically skippable
because i can turn off my brain
otherwise this game is a fricking trashfire in the writing department
my face when
I expected a completely new long route when this happened, scared the shit out of me when I reached this at 1 AM.
Imagine if Date had Tama in his eyehole.
Imagine if I gouged both of my eyes out and put Aiba and Tama in and activated horny mode.
Aiba will not let you use your eyes for VR porn anymore.
The top screenshot only shows up in the Mizuki route of the first game, right? Is Aiba fraying too?
aiba and date did that in the true end
"Okaeri" "Tadaima" is one of the most cliched Japenese phrases ever, it doesn't take a genius to figure out she wanted to say and hear that.
It is the troony localization fault.
>あんなに好きだった伊達さんを…裏切った
>I betrayed Date-san....whom I liked so much
Now everyone in the west will call Ryuki a gay and call you homophobia for suggesting otherwise.
twitter will pester him and he will end up saying he is gay just for virtue signaling
There was also that one line where Mama says Tama is the one Ryuki likes the most, but the localization changed it to "Tama's balls" or something.
How late am I to this
imagine how intimate it would be
I love her so much And now there are two fo them
I'm like 99% through, but I don't bother with seeing the epilogues and everything has been "explained" up to this point.
The flowchart twist was just.. bad. I wouldn't say catastrophic, although I was literally like how the frick is this supposed to work at first, but the transitions don't have this fine line, you know? Like that you can't see the time jumps at first but that they come absolutely naturally and logical once you see it. They went through like a thousand hoops to make it work. The Mizuki clone concept feels so barren, forced and poorly executed. The Transitions were literally like HERE YOURE GOING DOWN THIS SECRET ENTRANCE BUT HEY, COINCIDENTALLY YOUR CLONE WILL BE HERE AT THE EXACT TIME WITH THE EXACT PERSON SIX YEARS LATER TOO GOTCHA. Why the frick would Ryuki randomly go over the crime scene in the school 6 years later when in context he has no apparent reason to do so.
Technically it works yeah, but it's just not well done. Really wasted potential
Ryuki literally goes to Shoma's house to talk about "yesterday" because he thinks Shoma vanished from the feris wheel. Tama even asks him, why he's bothering to bring it up 6 years later. The man is not well. Also, I don't think our Mizuki goes to the Secret Chamber, but I'd have to pull up the timeline again
She does. I counterreferenced some scenarios because I was trying to understand what the frick the game is trying to tell me and there are hints. Lien has this scene where he talks about taking on a job but he can't tell what exactly and mobile psyncing shows that he "goes into there again", referencing how he has been there with clone Mizuki 6 years ago, since it can't be young Mizuki.
I don't know, I was honestly expecting some the flowchart is the seam kind of bullshittery because it just doesn't make sense at first. This should have clearly been a moment of epiphany when it instead made me more puzzled than before
Some of it works, some doesn't. Like Gen saying something about a Rocket, and you're just super confused, or why Boss is ripping Ryuki a new one when he couldn't capture the person in the Cathedral. The biggest hint I feel is when Shoma tells Bibi that he gave his father the ribbon like a year ago, to be honest though, I didn't think it wasn't present/past but that the world is a simulation and it was further proof it was breaking down, by reseting constantly
seemed like they were going with something like some entity was deliberately setting up your perspective like that and speaking through Mama to talk to (You) during that Flowchart explanation to further Naix's plans for some unknown reason or maybe that's looking far too into it for what boils down to a 'Fooled You!' twist that has no real bearing on anything, storywise
I assumed that the “weaving” of the timeline flowchart was the “warp and weft” tokiko was talking about
I know I'm going to get fricking shat on for this, but some dude on Reddit managed to discover Ryuki's ramblings are not actually gibberesh and, with a few decodings, you can turn them into readable Japanese, which he used DeepL to translate the first dialog box at the very start into the message Break free from the shackles of fiction and illusion, my friends, and open the door to truth at the time of revolution so yeah, whenever Ryuki gets one of his epiletic attacks, he is actually fraying really hard. Don't know if you guys already figured this out since I wasn't following every thread, but this is pretty neat.
Link
Alright. https://www.reddit.com/r/aithesomniumfiles/comments/vn0jaq/aini_spoilers_decoding_the_mangled_japanese_text/
Following his logic you can decode it yourself for the same results, I wonder if someone is going to be autistic enough to decode every text box.
Mizuki wants to ride Liens massive wiener.
How was the sale
More than AI1 or bomb?
Complete success.
Proof that the LQBT wank works
More games should do that in the future
all time peak more than doubled 1
Oh shit I didn't even notice the steam charts. This mean we're getting AI3 now with even more LGBTQ lines to work schizos into a rage? Can't wait
>LGBTQ
umm excuse me sister, it's now LGBTQIA2S+...Please do better.
>LGBTQ
>Lien Genny Boss Tama Quartz
What did Uchi mean by this?
The first game sold enough to get a sequel, so pretty good going by max player count
it's also on game pass, along with the first game, so they got a chunk of change from that deal as well
The sequel is not on game pass. I know quite a few people who bought the sequel because they played the first game on game pass.
It's also selling pretty well on PS Store by the looks of things
>There's actually a 3D-model for chibi-Marco in-game
>he just surrounds his eye with a blob and nothing else
frick's sake Marco, try to put some effort in
I read he's in one of the bonus files but I haven't seen anyone post it
got two of them here for you since i have all the dream files
Thanks anon! I expected to see his human form but I guess not
We will play another protagonist that will have Marco. It'll probably be a female investigator to contrast with a shy male AI.
>Looking downthroden and barely putting an effort into maintaining his form
>Too shy to speak
Hikkikomori eyeball confirmed for AI3.
What would you want to see in AI3 if they do decide to make another sequel?
Better story
No more cringe songs or dance scenes (lmao)
Date as Falco
>no more cringe songs or dance scenes
Anon it's too late. At this point if there's no dance number at the end of AI3 fans will be disappointed.
More Ryuki so he can get development
More reverse psyncing
More Ryuki being a schizo
His role in this game was great up until they decided to have him stay behind with an eternal shota and his explosives and nothing went wrong
In the art book that comes with the collectors edition one of the interviews has uchikoshi mention how he wants to expand the scope of investigations to be between countries using Japan and America as an example so I'm curious to see how they'd follow through with that approach
i'm not sure if it would actually benefit from that
I could only see that happening if the story is about an international ABIS internal investigation, that way they could reuse a lot of the office envrionments between branches. Would also let them expand on the reverse psync stuff, and have grittier somniums since most ABIS employees are probably fricked up.
And Uchikoshi can't resist shitposting, so North America ABIS HQ will be on Liberty Island.
Divergent would've been so much more interesting if it is about Ryuki become like Tokiko and joining Naix.
I would pretty much bet on it, or at least he's about to go full schizo and get committed. I mean, he just got slapped in the face with undeniable evidence of the world being a simulation and the Frayer influencing not just him but other people too, meaning Naix was ultimately right all along; they could've gone a lot harder then the Mizuki's and Ryuki just going "aw shucks didn't we have a boss fight here?"
Making it about anyone besides Tokiko and the player really defeats the point.
remember, it wasn't just us talking to her, part of it was the choice to have Ryuki remember the whole thing happened or just forget. That's why he's so sketched out even six years later, when presumably he should have been used to all of these people still being alive/not in prison cause they didn't murder anyone. I don't think he's dealing with it very well, even with Tama brushing it off as one of his episodes
So, a 999 remake will be next, right?
Doubt it, considering everybody knows where that ended up I don't think there will be much excitement behind a 999 remake, but there might possibly be a Zero Escape 4.
no, but a full 999 bonus mode in Ai3 is in the works, you heard it here first.
If Aiba is Junpei, whose the rest of the cast? Tama said she was Lotus
Is this the Uchikochi game with least amount plot holes?
The only one I can think of is the prototype Psync machine didn't remove Tearers eye for some reason
>Is this the Uchikochi game with least amount plot holes?
No???
You get the answer to that when you examine it in-game. It probably has the fewest gaps but it still has them, my main one is why Bibi has the same exact clothing as Mizuki. Just for the clothes, the pipe is pretty obvious. I though the SAT team thing was another one but when actually looking over the story in sequential order that makes way more sense
>why Bibi has the same exact clothing as Mizuki.
it's just the sekiba high school uniform, same one the other girls are wearing. as for the small vest your guess is as good as mine.
i think it's as dumb as "clone likes the same things" which is why mizuki thought she stole her scooter when it turned out that they both bought the same one.
it's an ABIS issued scooter
she said she ordered it online
who and when? I don't remember that dialogue at all
when Mizuki was speeding and we first see it has rockets Aiba tells her not to crash it because it's ABIS property
lmao probably, or maybe the other anon is right and Bibi did buy a scooter which got upgraded by ABIS and then ABIS made backups with the exact same sticker placement because???? to give Bibi incase she wrecked it
then eventually one is given to Mizuki
>who and when? I don't remember that dialogue at all
Bibi in Sweet Silent Thought(the last square for the timeline all the way on the right, i think it was for kizuna's ending.) But seeing how it's masked Bibi, she was probably lying and you're probably right. It'd be a very weird inconsistency otherwise.
Does Pewter place the stickers on them so they have multiple stickers on the same place?
All this bullshit is easily solvable by having the scooter, pipe, and gun handed down from Bibi to Mizuki. It'd be even easier because Bibi was adopted by Boss. Then have Bibi obtain different gear in the 6 years between past and present. It'd add much needed variety between the two characters. The issue of identical outfits is solvable by just having Mizuki change outfits on each day of her routes. Just have characters remark on them one or two times and nobody will be any the wiser.
>Is this the Uchikochi game with least amount plot holes?
Nope, but that's the Ushikoshi way!
[spoilers]What the frick is up with So? He was portrayed in Iris' somnium as quite nice, so I'm thinking that perhaps he was trying to connect with his daughter (I believe the Kusemon liking is new), but then he fled the nation and did the "eavesdropping?" thing to Iris.
No one told Iris about her connection to So after the first game, and So just told her to come to him if she needed any help (just to keep her/her mom quiet), so that's why she was at his house.
Of course it turns out Tearer is also his love child,
so Tearer went over there to frick with him cause I guess this whole series is just about So's bloodline fricking up everything
POST
TAMA
Is Tama based on Ryuki desire as well?
He is into BDSM kinks but I don't know if it is Tama rub off on him or the other way around.
He seems to like big breasts as well based on his comment on Boss.
Does anyone else wish the rocket went off as planned
It did go off as planned
The stakes just felt so low, everything has to go in the protags' favor so we can have that stupid musical bit again that was foreshadowed the whole game. Like nobody bought that Ryuki died, so why even pretend? I want to shove these characters into an actual apocalypse scenario.
cringe
it's not an apocalypse scenario, but the Divergent timeline is partially just Ryuki being unable to deal cause he knows that reality is a simulation, and all the implications that result from that (as shown from the happy line of characters he meets VS the shit they went through otherwise) are driving him insane
Yeah, and it's really cool, but it's a dead end. The timeline and main plot still are what they are.
I'm not sure if it won't ever be brought up again, Date remembered alternate timelines in the first game and that whole thing played a much larger role in this game. I'd bet on a 'Ryuki going full schizo' scene in 3 where he makes reference to this timeline
I'd be ok with that. It would be nice to see a little more continuity in the next game.
technically it did go off as planned, seeing as the hologram gave out the Nil Numbers to Bibi/Mizuki/(You)
Did you miss the part where Tokiko appeared on screen for two seconds to say the plan was a success
We can all agree Invincible Rainbow Arrow >>>>> whatever the frick the ending song and dance number were, right?
nah the lyrics about how Mizuki and Bibi are never going to have boyfriends were just too good I like the melody more though
Tama trying to dance was the cutest thing ever I have to marry her NOW
>Marco never talks once
I feel ripped off, like c'mon he could've just said one thing
Why did Tearer want Date dead so bad?
Because he shot his mask off in the scene before
Prior to some of the big reveals namely tearer just being an overzealous idiot I thought his gripe would be that date is seeing between world lines and tracking his actions more efficiently. But in the end I think the only implication is that date is just a really good detective
>even without concrete numbers it looks like AI2 did twice as well as AI1
Zero Time Date in only 2 years this time bros
AI2 felt weaker because the stakes felt so much lower but high at the same time. There was no risk to any of the characters compared to AI1.
Having side characters from the first become a focus of the second made it even weaker. The new characters also kinda suck because you don't spend enough time with them.
>serial killer planned to break reality apart to escape a simulated world, even fooling the player in the process
It sounds way cooler than what it ended up being
*let his mom escape reality
I guess in the divergent timeline ol' Uru is just waiting for Zero Escape 4 and shitposting about ZTD in prison
Uru knows Amame is going to kill him but he really doesn't know that the rocket launch is going to fail or that his mom is going to leave without him
depends on whether or not he knew about the whole Nil number/Frayer bit, I guess. Cause the rocket plan doesn't have shit to do with the Frayer so I can't see how it would induce Moksha for anyone
So does Aiba look like Boss intentionally? If so, why no breasts?
Built to Date's inner wants and desires, and though he'll never admit it, he's apparently into tiny chests
If Uchi ever releases a third AI game to complete the trilogy it will directly tie in with 999, the bonus 999 somnium is canon
Please don't further ruin Zero Escape, I want 999 to stand on it's own.
I feel like Ryuki should have been present for the entire epilogue sequence instead of just an Aiba-styled obvious reveal at the end.
Not just because it would give him more character development, but also because it would be a nice opportunity to round out the themes of guilt and redemption, what with all the stuff with the supporting cast like Amame and Lien.
Why did they never try to search the hidden area underneath the lab again? Actually why the frick did Bibi fail to find anything the first time? Was Aiba fricking malfunctioning or something? Tearer straight up told them the location of his hideout yet it took six fricking years for them to actually find it?
Bibi and Lien heard Amame sneaking around upstairs, so they booked it out of there
I expected the new duos to not live up to Date and Aiba but I never expected that Mizuki would be so much inferior to Ryuki. Even the cinema takes for him are much funnier since he sucks at acting.
To live up*
Mizuki was fine, she and Aiba just didn't have the same quality of banter.
This game made me realize I only like Mizuki when she's interacting with Date. She's too nice/neutral to everyone else that it's not as fun
This game made me realize how much Date carried the first one in general.
Did you guys finish the game yet?
I realized why I dislike Somnium Files. They need a better game director. Uchikoshi's writing is fine, passable but the game design is trash.
I played 3 hours, to the end of the first puzzle section, and then soft-dropped it. Here's why:
You have a few hours of story, then an hour of gameplay. The gameplay is uninterrupted. If throughout the story there were continuously smaller games that would be fine. IIRC kind of like Danganronpa's trials, it wasn't 90% minigames 10% progression.
The actual gameplay in Somnium Files feels like it takes away from the story, like it's all filler. It's kind of disrespectful. At least from what I've seen so far it doesn't respect the audience's time enough.
The concept of visualizing warped dreams/memories is really cool and they did ace that in some places, but the story just completely screeches to a halt during the gameplay and the answers/partial reveals aren't satisfying until you put in a long amount of time.
>The gameplay is uninterrupted. If throughout the story there were continuously smaller games that would be fine.
good thing the second game does exactly what you want
If you've played Ever17 and ZTD (and a pinch of VLR) you know every major twist in Ai2.
> good thing the second game does exactly what you want
Really? Hot damn thanks for rekindling my interest in the game
Thank you anon, this makes me happy.
>If you've played Ever17 and ZTD (and a pinch of VLR) you know every major twist in Ai2.
Are you kidding me? This hack keeps doing this shit?
I've watched a few streamers, who haven't played ZE or the Infinity series, play AI 2 and their minds were blown for reusing the same twist for the nth time. As long as people keep buying his games he'll keep reusing them. I mean even AI1 reused the same twist of swapping bodies.
Punch Line reused that twist too.
I've skipped it because I heard it was pretty meh. Glad to hear he didn't miss out on reusing that twist there as well.
>Streamers
Frick you dude
I think you'll enjoy the second game - the Somnium's are more streamlined, logic based and actually are all progression of stories.
I think there's really only 2 Somnium's that are kinda just there to be fun, and one is just game reference
two questions
>any moments where Date is a good surrogate dad to Mizuki?
>which game did he copy the tweest(s) from? The first copied Remember11. Did the 2nd just do Every17 for the 17th time?
>any moments where Date is a good surrogate dad to Mizuki?
None sadly. The game starts with the 6 year timeskip and you're told right away that he's been missing for that entire time cause of an explosion that happened in the past. Mizuki has some small appearances with Date in the past route, but nothing major. In the present route she reunites with Date towards the very end of the game so they barely have any interactions with one another overall since they're too busy trying to stop the antagonist at that point. The scene where they reunite is also pretty short
So why did the timelines cross? Its like they wanted to have weird shit happening then said "its happened cause of this ok bye" without any explanation as to why
Because it was a twist.
WARP AND WEFT
tokiko needed it to twist to reach moshi moshi
why? because that's apparently how she could reach moshi moshi according to her near death experience
the actual reason is to frick with you and provide a meta twist
I caved and read a bunch of spoilers because I wasn't really feeling it after finishing Ryuki's side and I'm disappointed by how much worse this game's story seems to be than the first's. I'll probably still finish it anyway just to have read it first hand. Also I know people didn't like the weird logic of the AI1's somniums but they were so much more interesting than AI2's, at least so far. Are the Mizuki side ones better?
requesting a save file for after the first video shows since that softlocks on windows 7
I enjoyed this game but the action scenes are the weakest part of it and they ended on fricking TWO of them
I hope they throw them away completely if they do another one
Fricking bullshit.
Mama must secretly be an astral being or something. All her Wink Psyncs feel like she's talking directly to you, not to mention that flowchart scene
>Mama's gotten so used to the police abusing their secretive technology on ordinary citizens she's mentally prepared to dunk on them at all times
not bad, mama
>This manlet created an eternal shota, fricked multiple women, and rape cor- I mean experimented on the older Mizuki and created clones of her
What's your excuse for not being a chad like him, anons?
I don't have the fivehead required to store the genius brain
also I have an amount of empathy
I feel like they just kinda glossed over that one point where boss was sketchy as frick and date talking about abis potentially being compromised
Boss has fricking always been sketchy though.
Setting up for a sequel maybe? Her adoption of Mizuki is pretty sketchy too.
I bet both her and Iris will be confirmed villains working against (you)
>boss
yeah
>iris
uh
Iris has actual brain cancer and serial killer genes, it's not her fault.
Iris acts moronic so that you stop treating her as an active threat. However, Iris knew things from different timelines and was right about Naix. At this point, Iris is pretty suspicious but she's good at being the autistic little girl in actuality, she's even more cunning than Uru AND Saito.
I was kinda surprised she didn't have a bigger reaction to Naix being both real and having some kind of apocalypse plot going on
like I know she had a brain tumor at the time but she was ultimately right about them
Remember when she went to So's place and she said: "If I need anything he'll help me out"
when she was talking about right? Well, what if? She figured out that So had another kid before anyone else and threatnend him to leave. Not only that but Iris also knows about the Frayer but pretends to not care so that she doesn't arouse suspicions out of any of the players. There is so much about Iris that makes her just as suscipous as Boss.
>talked about parallel timelines and alternate worlds at length in the first game (regarded as a red herring by the characters but the players know for a fact that's how the game works)
>knew about Naix but only gave us false information about them in the first game (and Boss went from not knowing them in the first game to directing Ryuki to their goddamn office here)
yeah, she's pretty suspect, but what could be her end goal? Moksha/the Frayer seems like the big ticket item here, but how else can we get dicked around?
It can go one of 2 ways. First, Iris is the leader of the order of the % and wants absolute chaos, and not only that, she was the one that created radical-5. It could also align with what Delta said about Religious fanatics. Or, she wants to end this simulation once and for all and end the Frayer/(You) reign of terror.
*Radical 6
Reminder that there's a meta Iris out there somewhere pulling the strings behind everything after she turned into a frayer
>Iris is a tearer
>Iris also lost her brother (two of them)
Hell on earth
Boss and ABIS itself has been sketchy as all hell in general. I mean frick, the whole bodyswap plot from the first game was her idea. Ryuki is clearly mentally unhinged and should not have been given the kind of special tech and clearance he has, and the whole story of her adopting Bibi is just fricking weird, she let Bibi work as a theif and then brought her onto ABIS? What the frick? Add in shit like her sending the SAT team in ready to pop Mizuki and it just fits in with her general profile of weird shit.
There is a perfect explanation for this. She has complex motives beyond your comprehension.
Fun fact - there's a "half" model for her in game files maybe it was planned to use in AH FUCC I'M FRAYIN' ending
She literally got sliced in half the very start. In the Ryuki schizo quiz show.
God mizuki is so fricking flat and cute why cant she be real frick
>Date's character did a complete 180 to bend over backwards to people who didn't play the first game for almost 3 years and hypebeast gays who saw Mizuki's troony rants on twitter
I'm so mad
We should have an antagonist or a rival that also have an AI ball. Would be kino.
what do you think Bibi was for half this game
Nah, she had done very little interference and was a huge ally for the most part, and she only did one or two things to prevent her younger clone to follow the HB case. I want more like someone who fricks with you during somniums or has the same capabilities but for the criminal side
I thought the game was leading up to this with the ryuki reverse-psyncs at the start
Was that the only time where reverse psych happened? Such a strange thing to show and never mention again throughout the entire game.
>if you run into any of the enemy-Ryukis and get reverse-Pysched it shows you scenes from the Mizuki-ending Date Psych from the first game
that does seem like it should have been a really big deal
>Be Uru
>Imprisoned with nothing to do but to play Zero Escape
>Love the games so much you become an evil villain with clothes inspired by Delta
>Love Delta's Radical-6 plan so try to imitate it in real life
>Except that instead of using it to spare 1 billion people from a religious nutcase's nuclear attack, you become the religious nutcase infecting people for no reason
Uru got filtered
he was just a momma's boy, his motives weren't complex enough
Was anyone else constantly expecting Ushidera to be the Tearer or at least his killer? Felt like a red herring character
Nah, I thought he was a homage to some old Japanese detective character.
Do you get anything interesting if you solve the video puzzles or is it the same information you're given by the characters?
There was a whole ARG involving them before the game's release IIRC
>bibi somehow magically fixes all the shit that occurred in mizukis alt timelines on the main route
What the frick was Mizuki doing the entire day on the 14th then? Obviously Ryuki offers no insight on the matter since he's in full schizo mode at the time.
I just remembered why Date was so horny in the 1st game and it was because of the side-effect of his medication back when he was in Saito's body. Why is is still horny in the 2nd game for some reason?
The more I think about this game in relation to it's prequel, the more I dislike it.
Did you even fricking play the first game, moron? You clearly didn't and just came here to whine because you saw the epic LGBTQ webm and came along with your Discord troony raid. If you've played the game, you'd knew that Falco has always been horny and Hitomi points it out multiple times in the epilogue. But of course you were too busy using your dilation station to know that.
Calm down you drama queen. I remembered something how Aiba kept giving him medication to calm him down and it gave him side-effects unless I misremember it.
It was more like he got pumped with Oxytocin so often that he got really horny, but Uchikoshi brought the white snake story to justify the porno mag scenes.
Anyone else thinks that it massively moronic how Bibi didn't tell Date about Ryuki's betrayal after he rescued her in the factory? It said she gave him a qucik rundown, you'd think it would include this important detail, but apparently not. The only reasonable explanation I can think off is that she was sure that Date saw it was Ryuki that escaped.
Tearer threatened to "kill her" if she talked, which is obviously referring to Mizuki Date
I'm talking right after Date saved her, that was before the Tearer made that threat.
Maruko a girl, you can't change my mind. "Maru" - "circle", kinda like a ball. "Ko" means "child" but often also "girl," especially if used as a female name suffix. The Japanese dialogue doesn't specify their gender even once either, and so far we've only seen female AI balls.
we've only seen the personality of two AI balls total
if anything the fact that both are female means the next one is more likely to be male
It literally says "Marco" in English on his concept art.
Spike Chunsoft's localization team is internal and Uchikoshi himself knows English.
Who else thought that Kizuna was Boss's daughter? Their hair looks really similar.
I was 100% convinced she was boss's daughter for like 80% of the game.
Sorry, but no one likes Boss enough to give her a baby. She's forever a Christmas cake.
>Date and the gang kill Saito
>everyone rejoices
>Mame kills Tearer
>oh no how could she have done it?! now she's forever tainted with sin!1!!
Seems like a double standard. I mean, I understand that the first one was self-defense, while the second one was arguably not, but they were both pieces of shit whose continued life was a potential threat to everyone around them. Literally too dangerous to be left alive. They should be more pissed at her for all the stuff she did AFTER killing him and refusing to talk about it rather than the killing itself.
It's her fault for not making the correct choice. People who willingly murder others shouldn't deserve to walkout free, otherwise vigilante justice would be all over the place
>>oh no how could she have done it?! now she's forever tainted with sin!1!!
multiple people say she's a hero and she shouldn't be punished
The problem was how she did it combined with the fact that she didn't report it. If she had just bashed his skull in with a wrench and gone to the cops afterwards she'd probably have been fine.
She could've easily claimed self defense for it too. Dude was a killer psycho and she was a fairly frail girl. Easy to explain that you felt getting the jump on him was your only reasonable method to survive.
Even with how she handled it it's implied she's going to be let off fairly easy.
yes, an officer of the law killing someone to protect someone else who was in immediate peril is different from slicing somebody in half while they're alive strictly for vengeance
anyway nobody really gave her much of a hard time about killing tearer except herself and she's probably not going away for very long about it
>42
what the FRICK
>tfw no womanchild gyaru hag gf to frick on top of her desk
>people believe she is also a villain
Statistically speaking all of So's kids are fricking insane murderers.
Iris is insane but she hasn't killed anyone yet.
Ackshully, she did kill someone in the bad timeline of AI1. Sure sure, it was someone else in her body, but who's to say the memories of that haven't jumped over to other timelines?
Plot twist: it wasn't Saito inside Iris's body when you psynched with her in the Genocide route.
Built for real-world men.
Not gonna lie, Shigure is really hot for being 50-something.
So who are the two voices that speak to (You)?
Blick Winkel and K.
Sigma
balls
The twist is so fricking dumb
Why does Older Mizuki want to stay barefoot?
Ryuki and Tama felt completely wasted
samegays
Is this a first time for the samegay accuser to be correct?
>Why is bosszuki barefoot
Her mom impressed her unhealthy obsession with foot fetishism on her.
>Why does Older Mizuki want to stay barefoot?
uuuh what is that an actual thing? Asking for a friend haha
I rewatched a bit of AI1 after beating 2.
Why does Date in 2 keep his old face?
Game answer: He is wearing a latex mask because that feels more "right" for him. He wants to be Date. Not Falco.
Actual answer: They insist that this game has to be playable for people who haven't played the first game and Date using his original face would be a spoiler.
In-universe reason: that's the face most people came to know him with since he began his new life from scratch, so he just decided to make a face mask for convenience.
Actual reason: Uchikoshi's games are low-budget so he couldn't afford to voice and animate every scene where Date appears twice.
The game started strong and had an intriguing middle
By the end the constant badmocap action and stupid twists and lack of commonsense just made it fizzle like a wet fart
BOAT? BOAT!?
Im in epilogue right now and the Dahlia Boat shit still hasn't been explained.
Uchikoshi loves anagrams. Dahlia Boat is an anagram of Ialdabaoth. Simulation theory is unsubtly inspired by Gnosticism.
Why would Tearer choose the name of a fake god for himself when he despises the fake world that he's created though?
It's never explained.
>tearer this is mom, pick two words to use as a fake name. If you kill komeji tell everyone the second at the execution chamber, if you kidnap shoma tell him the first
You could also consider it as as well as basically everything about Tearer as a ZE reference but whether that has any actual meaning or not is just guessing.
it's where the third class cabin is
Nice boat
Bibi is actually a genious way to translate Neenee, I'm surprised troonylators managed to come up with something good.
how so?
t. EOP
It's supposed to sound like baby speak. Mizuki probably called her that when she was a baby.
I'm interested in playing as the dude and his brown AI waifu since Date is now gone. Are they any good?
Ryuki is an autistic NPC and Tama doms him constantly. They are a great pair.
Okay, you convinced me.
Keep in mind that you only play as him for the first 20 hours of the game or so.
How long do you play as Mizuki then?
The rest of the game
30 hours or so. My results might be skewed because I sometimes left the game open without playing it. I also didn't click through dialogue until characters finished speaking. On the other hand, I didn't make it a goal to investigate absolutely everything.
You play the first half of the game as Ryuki and the other half as Mizuki. Took me 30h to complete the game. Listened to most of the voice lines in the first half, but started skipping them as Mizuki as I just wanted it to be over.
> Listened to most of the voice lines in the first half, but started skipping them as Mizuki as I just wanted it to be over.
i use that as the litmus test for when to drop something
It is the other way around.
Tama is a sub and Ryuki bullies her constantly during the somnium.
Mizuki is the worst character in any game she shows in
>muh genius woke 12 year old that lifts 100kg, is super strong, single handedly beats a gang of yakuza with a lead pipe, deflects bullets and is a company's CEO
God I hate this b***h I wish I could geld Uchikoshi for adding this c**t to the game
>single handedly beats a gang of yakuza with a lead pipe
there were at least 3 instances where she jobbed and was only saved by someone else in the second game
Who cares, she's still ridiculously overpowered
Even in the 1st she had to be bailed out at times, she's still a shit character
Funny how the first half of the game had many Shomizuki ship moments and it all just kinda... disappeared in the second half.
Can't have your OG waifu get together with someone Uz doesn't self-insert into. It feels like he gave up writing in the second half.
I kinda disliked Komeji, but by the end of the game I found myself pretty sad about his death and kinda missing his moronic catchphrase. What's up with that?
And what the frick is up with his minecraft head that I am supposed to accept as actually just completely normal?
>And what the frick is up with his minecraft head that I am supposed to accept as actually just completely normal?
Anime aesthetic. Same shit as characters having hair colors that don't occur in nature and no one questioning it despite dyeing never being mentioned.
I actually ended up disliking Komeji.
Just a failure of a dad dumb enough to try and blackmail a fricking murderer.
best boy and best girl of nu-AI.
I kinda miss him, even with Date being a good protagonist.
Junpei was better, at least until he became a cynical frick.
Junpei was a fricking loser and Akane was a c**t. Sigma, his wife and Phi carried the sequel and the third.
I started skipping all the fight scenes because of how stupid and nonsensical they were
Jesus the english voice acting for some of the new characters is horrendous. The shit translation for most of the jokes certainly don't help either. It was fine for the first game but I had to switch this time around.
Whose bright Idea was it to hire e-celebs??
I legit think the English dub is good
Tama's English VA was occasionally weak but mostly fine. I didn't have any problems with any of the other new characters, who's the "e-celeb"?
gen
Who was the VA?
fat 'assblasted about white people" chink
>Not sure what mental illness
wrong person
Not ringing a bell
He's more of a regular VA than an eceleb at this point
Not sure what mental illness you have, but Gen is the only one that sounds like an actual person and not generic anime character.
Sounded fine to me.
the dude's voiced a bunch of shit before and given fine performances, not sure what your issue is
SungWon Cho is actually a good voice actor though.
i played the whole game and didn't even realize gen was prozd cause gen actually sounded like a normal person and his whole "frakenstein's monster" plotline was some of the most emotionally compelling moments in the game
I don't think anything hit the same emotional high as the end of Ota's route or Mizuki's route in 1 but his somnium where he laments feeling like he was never "allowed to exist" was pretty good.
If anything I like that Amame ends up being the final killer just because they talk about how hard Gen and Shoma are going to take that news given Shoma's her younger brother and Gen's spent a good chunk of his life devoted to her. Also appreciate that they made such a minor character from the first game into such a big player in 2.
I didn't even know he was ProZD until someone told me. I thought he did a pretty good job
I thought Gen had a really good voice
Kizuna is an eceleb and she sounds robotic as frick.
Maybe it's more to do with the direction and the translation but she doesn't convey the "mild mannered ojousama that only speaks in super formal kenjougo" part of her character at all in english. She sounds like a stilted autist instead.
I'm sure they could have done a better job than "removeallcontractionslol"
There's not much to be done with the difference in register and everything. Shit is hard as frick to translate.
Like in her confession scene all she says in english is "I love you" which doesn't have the same impact or ring as "お慕い申しております"
>playing AI with EN dub
>Oh no its the moron who always plays on japanese no matter what.
Date VA alone make it worth to play English dub.
Date is far more superior in JP, and you have a shit taste.
The voices are fine but the delivery of some of the lines is not. Tama's more serious moments sounded like she was joking in the dub, though that may be the voice director's fault.
I know both languages and like Shingaki's Date better. Even if only marginally
I thought the dub is quite good.
I finished the game in jp dub then watch some let's play playing in dub.
Was surprised by how similar some eng dub sounds compare to their jp counterpart
I just started Mizuki's route, i miss Ryuki so damn much.
The left branches until now have been great, but to have all this somnium sequences and maybe just one or two different routes you can choose is quite sad.
I love zero escape because of all the endings you can get by changing routes, and while Uchikoshi can't do that in every game i still feel a little sad.
Despite its plotholes i had a better time with it than the whole ZE series. People who praise VLR always forget that 80% of the time its an absolute slog while AI is enjoyable all around.
VLR is the best if you cut out half the puzzles, all the walking sequences and remove the ending
90 % of the plot progression in ai 2 is just characters randomly encountering plot.
How much more is there once I finished 2 Ryuki routes to get the full name and tell Mizuki? Am I at least half way done?
About halfway, yeah. Mizuki also gets 2 routes plus one final route that will lock you out like the first game till you've completed her other side routes, so technically she gets three.
The Secret Ending was kino tho. It shows that Tokiko was right all along
>Reddit trying real hard to claim Ryuki is gay
>People posting evidence that he isn't
>W-well he could be bisexual!
Imao fricking morons
How would they even come up with that nonsense? He chose to betray Date to save Tama, so obviously she's more important for him.
>saving an AI he can't even touch over an actual human being
???
>saving (person) over (person)
it do be like that sometimes
She's constantly in his head. That's one of the most intimate relationships one can have.
>porno mag power persists across bodies
his Date obsession, like his likes in his profile including Date and that line about liking him
and maybe a lack of sexual jokes from him, but he's spent the whole game being drunk and PERGED and FRAYING so obviously he's not going to thirst for women
It's so fricking obvious he's in love with Tama. I haven't seen a single nip claim he likes Date, but of course twitter will keep pushing it especially with the "I loved him" line.
I always thought they would reveal Mizuki to LGBTQR+ herself
Give Uchikoshi some time and enough twitter pestering and he will make her and Ryuki bi.
What's up will all this lusting over Tokiko?
She looks hot as frick
>not wanting emotionless sex with her and reach moksha
Not gonna make it.
On which day was the scene with Ryuki blasting Bigzuki? Can't seem to find it again
This thread is a simulation.
you cannot disprove that all of Ganker is bots and i'm the only human being here

I'm convinced that Date wears silicone mask only because Saito's face is more popular with chicks
One of the reasons ingame that they mention for him keeping the Saito face is that a hostess girl somewhere only recognizes that face and not the original Falco face
How are you supposed to frick in silicon mask anyway? Is it seamless or something?
I felt really bad for Komeji.
Me too, I kept expecting the whole splitting people in half and two machines to end up being something about clones or kidnapped child twins, just so they could bring him back alive during the true end. Alas, Uchikoshi decided to be cruel today.
>AI 1 Aiba bases all her battle plans on getting Date some porno mags

She ruined everything for no real reason.

Shoma's life sucks
It's fine, he's got like 580 years to turn it around.
His only hope is that Mizuki is into shotakon. Both of them
How does she feel knowing her friends have buff 15 inch wiener gigachads simping for them while she is stuck with two short and scrawny creeps who fantasise about raping her daily?
Iris is for Moma alone.
it's ok, she hooks up with christmas cake Boss during whatever sketchy bullshit they're secretly up to
Too brain damaged to care.
i don't understand the timeline shift thing it has left me completely dumbfounded
so parts of the past while playing as ryuki is actually ryuki in the present
and parts of the present while playing as mizuki is actually mizuki or bibi in the past?
And the whole 'lead date to the execution chamber' thing to ryuki never worked out???
Its Bibi in the past, yes, I was also extremely confused when the twist happened because there was a twelve year old Mizuki in the past as well as the Masked Woman. But as it turns out, no you play as Bibi in the the past and the masked woman only shows up in the future.
game kinda looks like ass and there launcher has no real options. are there any config things I should know about? and what about a way to force dualshock buttons?
>game kinda looks like ass
No shit. They have to port the game to the switch somehow so they have to sacrifice quite alot. Atleast the character models look decent.
I meant more in the sense that there's no AA options so the cel shading outlines can get a bit jaggy
Well, the upside is that you can play it on literally anything. I played on a laptop with Ryzen 3 integrated graphics.
Blonde tall AI waifu and her partner made this game worth it, after their part the game was a slog. Prove me wrong.
Looking back after completing the game and playing DnF duel for a bit.
Wow Nirvana Initiative really sucked compared to the prequel. I mean it's an alright VN by itself with a whole lot of "bullshit" for no reason but I thought the original was Uchikoshi's best polished work but man this goes full moron just for the sake of it. 6/10.
i give the prequel a 9 and this a 7.5 just because of the 999 shit that made me laugh
although there were so many """fighting""" scenes
Would that game have been better than the original if they cut the dumb action scenes and the main twist made more sense?
what part about it didn't make sense?
Maybe but my biggest flaw was everything felt so fricking forced. Characters were added just because, twists were made just because,
Some very fcking awkward dialogue choices just because.
The frayer shit is just obnoxious at this point. It was kinda a nice nod in the first one like "haha how did you know that" but now he's trying to create some MCU garbage or some shit it's so dumb.
>but now he's trying to create some MCU garbage or some shit
That entire final fight felt like the same kind of MCU pisstake that No More Heroes 3 did
Actually there's a decent bit of overlap between the two, it's weird
To be fair a different director took the reigns but I get what you mean
This really feels like the two had incorporated a heap of ZTD (and early-draft ZE3) concepts for better or worse
OOOOH, HAPPY HAPPY CHIKARA
Here is how to make this game better:
replace Ryuki with Date and give Mizuki different ai ball
