Make it a thick boy for Heavy Slam. Should be heavier unironically. (Can't remember if it got Heat Crash in Gen 8. I think it did because the Rhynos got it.)

Heavy metal and Heavy slam are wasted on Aggron.
No guard Iron tail/Power whip/Aqua tail would be better.
eh... maybe? I think no guard would only exacerbate its issues, not fix them. Moves like focus blast, hydro pump, fire blast, and more now no longer having to check accuracy to hit aggron would be really bad for it. He doesn't have the bulk, speed, or longevity to take advantage of no guard imo.

Which ability should get replaced sturdy or heavy metal?
Heavy Metal. Sturdy is a better ability + Perfect for Metal Burst Cheese.
Heavy metal. Hell, that and light metal are some of the abilities that should be removed from the game in general. Fricking STALL is better as an ability than heavy metal.
Head Smash is strong, but in all other respects Rock is a liability for Aggron. Not to say it HAS to lose the typing to be good, but it'd either need a massive speed increase, which doesn't fit Aggron thematically, or some heavy lifting elsewhere
Id suggest Nidokings go in SpAtk, and Nidoqueen's Speed got into SpDef. This is their niche currently, Nidoking is a versatile and very potent, anti-meta special attacker, with Nidoqueen taking on a tank/support variant of that role. While your ideas would still be an objective buff, it doesnt lean into their niches quite as well.

I actually don't hate this. 100/180/100 would be an absolutely insane defensive profile, but with its weaknesses and lack of recovery, itd be reasonable. Biggest issue I see is how splashable Fighting and Ground moves are.. maybe its a bit overkill, but this setup with Earth Eater sounds sick as frick.
Still, a pokemon like Aggron SHOULD be a main stay in competitive.
Honestly Nidoking becoming a better physical attacker following its pokedex entry would be better.
The base 110 Speed and 127Atk make up for the difference of base power from special attacks.
Hone claws+Gunk shot sets are also gonna be awesome.
Nidoqueen would have that 101 Speed and 100SpA to edge out and be the designated special attacker of the two.
Defiant and Competitive would be the best buff to both tho.

Maybe change its typing to Steel/Grass or Steel/Dragon then swap Heavy metal with either No guard or Mirror armour.

seconding this. Imagine pumping up the nidos to 600 BST, they'd both be genuinely fantastic pokemon. Even as they are now, they're still solid picks competitively.
Eh the Nidos could get at least the Arcanine treatment with 555 BST.
