Why are they like this? What's wrong with this company?

>daily AC thread on Ganker seething about anything
you know it's gonna be good when it's like this
FPBP. If Ganker is mad about something, it’s good. This has never been proven wrong. I thank the seething shitter contrarians and deranged discord troons for making daily AC threads tho.
So this will be basically sekiro with mechs right? If we go by the battle system. Yeah sure you can build tanks, but melee should be sekiro like, right?
It's like Armored Core with a Gundam Vs lock-on mechanic.
Historically they were known for putting out 6 hour games masquerading as 30 hour games, which is arguably worse than dlc.
Now they put out 4 minute games masquerading as 150 hour games.
EDIT: WOW THANKS FOR THE REDDIT GOLD!
this is completely and utterly impossible to do according to blizzard consumers
Dont put it past bamco suddenly adding a frickton of dlc. Verdict day had SO MUCH it was pretty disgusting to look at.
No it's never been bamco and from soft is self-publishing AC6 in Japan as it always does.
From have a very tight partnership with bamco after dark souls 1, sure they self publish domestically but their international audience is what actually funds their games and makes the decisions, sekiro had a lot of design decisions made specifically because of activision, like having "shadows die twice" as the subtitle and how it was intended to be a tenchu reboot. Bloodborne and Demon's were only made because of sony's licensing.
from has a lot of history with these publishers and bamco is the one they clearly work well with. they partnered with microsoft before too.
whenever a video game has a season pass or day 1 dlc it's the publishers doing, the actual developers just make the product. the publishers decide the monetization.
Elden Ring still doesn't have one.
im talking about armored core and the previous title, verdict day, had microtransactions for practically everything, like UNACs and even an alternate soundtrack, system voices, etc.
TAAAANK
say what you will about faati but his no-commentary gameplay is actually cool as frick. I still think about that clip where he staggers the quad MT, switches his like bunker from his shoulder to the left hand, and donkey punches it to death all in one smooth motion. Kino
Yeah, he may be a homosexual but he at least got gud at the series
Would a monoleg with a ball like wheel work?
theoretically but it doesnt fit the aesthetic
>No microtransactions
How is this a bad thing?
Everyone's AC will look the same. No player expression.
zamn so tru no cap fr fr
Oh so you're one of those people. Btw you're aware that the devs could offer cosmetic options without microtransactions, right?
From what i've seen there's options for paintjobs for all the parts on your AC, and multiple legs, cores, heads, arms, etc, all without milking the player of more cash, thank god
I think I even saw a custom logo maker that you can put on your AC
>no player expression
>in a fricking Armored Core game
Ironically it has the most cosmetic customization of any recent game and it's in there for free. Nobody will look the same other than kids copying their favourite israelitetuber.
Gonna give mine a white and red look, those spider legs look fun to mess with
How are you this much of a cuck?
Whales here just rolling over for the harpoons because they love being penetrated by their corporate bull.
Technically the preorder bonus emblem is exclusive although it may be possible to recreate it.
They're the last holdouts of soulful game development and haven't jumped on the games as a service bandwagon, probably due to not even knowing what that is. The people who were there when they were pumping out 2-4 games a year in the ps1-2 era in order to make money are mostly still there. In their heads, if you want to be successful you just put out a good, complete game instead of a get rich quick scheme.
Then unlike most Japanese studios they actually give tons of opportunities to their staff, rewarding talent. Their sound guy had no formal training in music, Miyazaki switched into game development after being an accountant and stated that Fromsoft was the only people willing to give him a job and through sheer talent became the president with under 10 years at the company. This new AC game is also another example of this because they promoting another guy to be the director for it and this is his first shot.
Fromsoft is just so well managed it's insane. I think they still have a relatively small team too.
>image of fish and fishing hook
For those wondering
If you think the emblem editor looks barebones, the amount of layers and settings for each layer let you do this (same system as ACV/VD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHVv1D4QaUs
You are complaining for not being greedy?
You'll be able to slap your entire harem on your mech
>No day 1 dlc

Why aren't more companies like this? What's wrong with them?
With Bamco as a publisher even. I guess they were really hands off with AC6.
Everything else FROM has made in the past decade has been big money so they probably dont care as much what they do.
If 6 does poorly they may force shit into any potential sequels (if it gets any)
Bamco tried to force Fromsoft to include preorder-exclusive content before with Dark Souls 2, only to get shit on with the laziest, most worthless DLC possible. (Four intentionally bad reskins of early-game weapons and shields.)
After that they learned to back the frick off and let From do things their way.
This game must be good if Ganker's contrarian teenagers are so up in arms over it.
Ganker is full of Edgelords that ever since Tortanic, they feel like they can hate meme anything into failure. The Shazamgays didn't help
>621 is not Nineball
Phantom pain bros… I wanted the kino twist
He's secretly a furry.
He is the ac pilot with 9 BALLS
I'm hoping all the 6XX number people are all actually the same guy being cloned and downloaded into new brains over and over. Even if it's not actually Nineball it would be a thematic repetition.
>3v3 will be score based respawn deathmatch
Alright hype slighty dampened, frick that sounds generic. So sad coming off something that was as awesome as VD. Hope this sekiro director doesn't direct the next game, moron was really going to bring this series back to SP only days. Fricking moron.
>621 is effectively a brain shoved into a robot
>Very first thought I had was "Get in the robot Shinji"
If you didn't immediately think this, you don't deserve to be here
Bros, this game gives me so much hope. I like most from games but really didn't take to Elden Ring. I felt a little gypped, but seeing that AC6 could be so soulful is turning me into a corporate simp. I'm just happy this studio is successful. I desperately want a good AC game again, and it looks like they might deliver. I'll wait for reviews in case they trip at the finish line, but I'm hype for the first time in years.
This. I'm cautiously optimistic. So far the customization looks great and the combat seems to be decent enough for an AC game.
I worry a little about some of the smaller two minute missions where you frick over four or so small mechs, but as long as there aren't many of those it should be good.
I've been totally burnt on souls gameplay since partway through DS3, looking forward to getting the Fromsoft tone in a game I'm not sick of
they're Antisemitic.
I’m still waiting for the soundtrack to drop
yay
