Last used Minun in OR, decent Raichu substitute, stronger than Pika up front and riding the usual boons of being electric. Thunder Wave, Fake Tears, and easy access to Thunder later on of 95 speed is basically never unwelcomed. Baton pass too. They technically synergize, but the 50% special attack boost obviously isn't worth running the same mouse twice.
I'm pissed that they lost their gimmick. They should have kept their exclusive abilities and these abilities should have stayed the way they were, only activating when the other is on the field, not itself.
The way it currently works makes NO SENSE. And these abilities don't make any fricking sense on pokemon outside of Plusle and Minun either.

Masuda is a fricking idiot (he was the main person behind the first Hoenn and Unova games and fricking SwSh too).
They're actually a lot better in Triples than Doubles because you can add a third Plus/Minus mon to boost further and add more coverage. I had fun with an Electric Terrain/Rain Dance Thunder-based gimmick team on Showdown with a Heliolisk in the center and Klinklang for Magnetic Flux.
Gen 9 would actually be a lot better for Plusle and Minun in Doubles because you could Tera one of them to solve your coverage/earthquakebait issues.
Morpeko basically does their "positive/negative" gimmick better in a single Pokemon
