It doesn't matter how much you frick around when you know you're working a bullshit job.
I'd rather have my own app/web service and earn a fraction of what I'm earning right now, but I can't think of anything.
I swear millennials think fricking everyone is underaged. They act like actual boomers even though they're technically not. It's like they want to put you down for being ''underaged'' but also feel insecure about their age.
20, and I work part time.
I come home everyday exhausted and immediately fall asleep in my work clothes for like 10 hours. I eat one meal a day because cooking takes hours and I need my 2 hours of daily vidya or I'll rope.
Just exercise regularly or take Adderall. Unless you're under 50 there's zero reason a man should be "so exhausted" he can't play a video game, which requires you to only hold a controller.
>which requires you to only hold a controller
I'm not playing video games to finish them, I'm playing them to enjoy them, as a hobby. There's no point in playing a game if I'm not in the mood or have the mental energy to be totally absorbed in it. I need to be at 100% to enjoy gaming. Paying money to mindlessly press buttons in response to flashing lights like a machine sounds miserable.
Especially if it's a narrative heavy game, if I'm spacy and tired I'm just going to read the text and immediately forget what I just read, not comprehend and absorb the information.
Also not sure about Adderall but I've been taking 5 hour energy about once a week if I'm having trouble staying awake on the job. I also drink coffee in the morning.
i feel that anon. i’m the guy b***hing about his IT job. i do feel guilty b***hing about being tired but people don’t realise that dealing with other people all day (especially as a computer dork like myself who’s a genuine introvert) is very exhausting. now try do that day in day out while trying to have some semblance of down-time. and good luck getting down time in the weekends if you have even the tiniest social life. i need my solo time or i go insane.
>might suffer humiliation from those whose who thought I would go far
What does "go far" mean anymore? Being yet another senior executive butthole at Hustlecorp, looking at spreadsheets and emails all day, cosplaying as a character from Mad Men? And all of it just to paint a bullseye on yourself the minute the CEO or shareholders' stock dips by .0001%?
The only one whose idea of success should matter to you is you, anon.
>hate working a stressful professional job >think about working the counter of a small independent shop >pay will be less, but mind will be more at ease >simple man who wants for little but my own time and freedom >might suffer humiliation from those whose who thought I would go far
What do I do?
They don't actually care whether you go far or not, they just want you to fit their delusional image of what they want you to do. What they've been conditioned to want you to do. They don't give a shit, someone who cares would just want you to be happy.
They also stopped with the free food and instead of having a nice breakfast, they throw it all away in the waste, they also don't pay me for my breaks any more for some reason. After reading this thread I should probably quit.
Easier to keep you around if they need the help I guess. You reminded me how bad wagie jobs suck, I had to quit my last one for the opposite reason back in college. They were giving me way too many hours and after 3 times of trying to explain this to them I just quit and worked for my college instead.
>gf of 2 years broke up with me >lose all motivation to play my favorite games >lose all motivation to go to the gym anymore >lose all motivation to continue studying >still go into work
I just wanna lie down and die. I’m tired bros
they say that it takes half the length of your relationship's time to fully recover from heartbreak. 2 years mean you will be in excruciating mental and spiritual pain and suffering for at least the next 12 months.
Similar situation here, split with my gf of three years and now I have no motivation to do anything but I still go to work. I think I'm starting to understand why boomers live for their jobs, it's better than idly browsing Ganker all day. At least I'm not alone when I'm at work.
>wake up 7:50 >turn on work laptop, put it next to me >play games on my home PC >once in a while do some work stuff or attend a meeting (lol) >16:00 turn off work laptop, continue with the day
In restrospect corona was the best thing ever to happen
>have only been working as an office wagie for 2 months total >already fricking hate it
What the frick, how do you people live like this?
I was enjoying myself more working at a fricking construction site during summer in college.
The office room I work in has me + 2 other wagies and our chief, all with separate desks. I'm not sure what you would call that since I'm ESL.
Also, the chief is incredibly b***hy. I just spent TWO FRICKING HOURS today arguing with her whether the documentation she sent me had a plan of the area or not. She kept saying that she sent it and that if I can't see it it's my problem, and I kept telling her that I can't fricking find it. Turned out the files she sent me were incomplete and indeed missing the plan. And then even later it turned out it was all a waste of time because apparently the newly hired upper manager is a moron and wanted us to do someone else's work.
This shit sucks
Open offices look like this, if I walked in day 1 to anything like this I'd quit on the spot.
Before I was WFH I had two different positions, a solo cubicle with a sliding door I could close, and an actual office split with me and another person.
I hated the 2 person office, despite my "neighbor" being relatively quiet. If I had to share it with 3 other people I would be out of there.
I can't imagine a more cancerous environment. My fiance works in an office and it's oppressive and dehumanizing. If anything were ever an example of anti-community classism it would be the corporate office.
>be me >work a specialist trade job >make a decent living >constantly beefing savings >start at 8:30, end at 2 or 3 >trying to figure out how much I need to quit my job >mfw I'm at work monitoring a real gauge thinking about wanting to be home
>be outsourced IT helpdesk lackey (swear im not indian sers do the needful) >our remote access software is broken shit >we have frick all documentation for most customers so any work that is network related is blood from a stone >that or the documentation is years out of date and not relevant anymore >get the feeling jobs are so micromanaged, if you aren’t buddy-buddy with the dispatcher you get all the shit ones >work 9:am to 5:30pm >depending on how shit my raise will be i’ll probably be leaving but then i have to find another fricking job and i hate the job search game
wagey get in the fricking cagey is right. i wanna kill myself. i should have swallowed my pride and just worked at the local supermarket. i’d probably be making the same fricking money for less overall hours.
i dont even really mind that. i still find time to play some vidya after work most days (when im not pissed off at everything). it’s just that the work itself is so awkward due to the broken ass tools and the setup of our documentation / customer tracking system, any ticket more involved than “can u pls install Office 365 for me pls” becomes a frickin mountain out of a molehill. just getting in contact with the person in the other company is a nightmare half the time because i can’t properly connect to their PC. wish i was still a NEET. what a fricking joke. work should be a minor inconvenience at the start if your day that pays the bills.
and if that isn’t bad enough, im still in my 20s so i need this at least to buff up my CV. but the leave period is a month. a fricking month, so i can’t just go okay peace homosexuals i’m out. what the company is gonna fall apart if one lackey leaves? thr company is gonna crumble if a printer doesn’t get fixed today? frick off. me drying of stress isn’t worth barely €25k a year.
>but the leave period is a month. a fricking month, so i can’t just go okay peace homosexuals i’m out
Your annual leave or your notice period for wanting to quit? A month is fairly standard for the latter, and only goes up in time as you take on more responsibility.
I'm sure your employer has reserved the right to give you only a week's notice if they need to get rid of you though.
yeah my leave period of quitting. getting fired is about a week or on the spot depending on how bad you fricked up. i thought unless you’re a manager it goes more than 2 weeks though?
If you're in burgerland you don't legally have to give any notice, you're at will and can quit whenever.
Doing so however will burn a bridge with that company and it would be a bad idea to put them on your resume. So probably not the best move if your goal is to beef up your resume.
Just start applying to job listings online in your area via linkedin and other places. If you live out in the middle of nowhere and can't find another IT job then frick it, quit and go work a wagie job.
Note: if you work a wagie job make your resume look more shit that it actually is, your local walmart doesn't want a guy with a 4 year degree and years of work in the field, they want morons who will act as cogs in the machine.
that’s exactly it, anon. i dont want to burn a bridge cos i dont want to piss away a year and a half of my life for barely anything in return. im not in the US, i’m in europe, but that’s beside the point - i want this on my CV. it is looking like i might just get a wagie job because i hate dealing with morons on the phone day in day out. i dont need to be rich, i just want to pay for things without having a job that actually makes me want to kill myself sometimes because it’s so frustrating everyday. maybe i’m just meant for menial warehouse work and that’s fine.
>Have friend in IT >Two weeks prior they tell him he's going to another state to do some server maintenance >He gets over there, turns out they didn't get him proper access to the area >Spends the whole 3 days just sitting around waiting for them to sort it out >Ends up going home without even touching anything
Anytime I read about companies making "record profits" I can only image stories like this, were corporations are just pissing away money into the grass.
>work night shift today >no one to watch me or boss me around >im pretty much the only person in the office >finish all my work in the first few hours then spend the rest of the night shitposting on Ganker, reading or playing vidya on my phone >all of this while getting paid extra because its a night shift
Lifes ok sometimes. Im considering buying a handheld console just so i can take it to work with me.
NTA but it really depends on what he's doing if they actually give a shit or not.
If he's a night shift guard for example they're just paying him to stand around anyways, so they really don't care.
>work from 2am to 11am doing warehouse work >get home and eat something >just sit around tired in a daze but not sleepy for 5 hours doing nothing >think about playing something but just watch youtube for 2 hours >get really tired and go to bed and repeat
I did that for 2 years and im amazed i didnt kill myself, 2 years just lost in a black hole i can never get back
I got a warehouse job once. I quit on the first day. There was no fricking chance I was slaving away like that for 8 hours a day when literally anything else is better.
How do people handle working those jobs? The only thing I can imagine is that they are criminals who can’t get anything else because of their record
I WFH, Got a really nice paying job that's paying me 120k a year but they lied to me about a lot of shit.
>The job is located in Quebec, but they assured me I wouldn't need french. Turns out when joining, nearly every meeting is in french and I can't speak it very well.
>The team i'm managing is near retirement age, and are all 55+ years old. I'm the youngest person in our department, and I feel very strange about having to manage my dad / grandparents.
>They want me to travel to another city (Montreal) once a month, for up to 2-5 days at a time. The job was said to be fully remote, and when I joined I found out they expect me to travel.. which I am against as I have a family and shit.
The money is good, but I honestly hate my team and the software they use / develop is ancient. Would I be fricking crazy to quit? I'm kind of lost here and not sure what to do.
Also the company is full of pajeets and they made a prayer mat to our CEO which was pretty cringey and they are always posting "good morning" or "thank you" to every automated message thats posted in chat.
Yeah just hop and take that pay raise somewhere else. One of our teams is like that, not all the pajeet stuff but the "its remote (but actually you need to go out of state one week every month)" shit. Everybody they moved on to that team quit it after a few months and I refused to go to it when asked.
If everyone on the team is old boomers that is a terrible sign, it means all of the young people have better job opportunities and won't work it, so they had to bring the people who don't know any better or will be loyal to the company no matter what on.
>WFH 10k a month >Herpdiderp should I quit? My co workers are old and cringe, I need to do a tiny bit of travel
Get the frick outta here homie, I would kill my parents for your job
I'm grateful for having a job that pays well, I grew up extremely poor so I'm having a hard time justifying leaving because I hate my coworkers and I hate having to travel once a month. Company lied to me, which made me fricking salty but nobody in my family ever made this much money before.
I've probably also been on this site longer than you're alive, don't be mad at me because I went into a career where I can be payed somewhat decently at a manager level. Reevaluate your life and make a positive change, m8.
NTA but most people I know barely make 40k a year - the CEO for the company I work for probably doesn‘t make 120k a year. In what world is that being payed somewhat decently at a manager position is beyond me.
I do Product Development, Technical Support, Product Installation, Training, Testing and Repairs for one of my (still first world) countries biggest printer and printing equipment distributors
I make 37k yearly

Get into software tech, you're being underpayed heavily. Start searching linkedin, I had to grind from a minimum wage job to get here, took me awhile and wasn't a overnight success.
>had shitty understaffed busy, overtime bullshit job for years >finally quit >instantly find a new job >it's super easy and pays way more and I can take multiple breaks since the business is slow, no overtime bullshit, they even serve free food to employees everyday >job is only a 25 minute powerwalk from my house
I've finally made it bros.
god I wish I could find a decent paying job that isnt stressful as shit. Right now my department is understaffed so bad that our 3 person team is doing the equivalent output of 7 people except we all have to work 6-7 day weeks at 50-60 hours. Best part is I still make jack shit because the israelites that run this company knew we would be extremely overstaffed and adjusted the pay to be literal peanuts because of how much over and double time we would be pulling
I actually do need the excercise. My previous job was super busy so I need to compensate for the current EZ job. The exercise also keeps my energy levels high.
>have dev job >flexible work hours and can WFH, while raking in money >usually put in a lot of effort in the start of our sprint so I can spend the remaining time relaxing, with some code reviews here and there
God it feels so fricking good being part of the master race, I thank myself everyday for getting a CS degree
Only thing that beats dev jobs are jobs in the oil field (2 weeks on the job, then 4 weeks off)
its amazing how 99% of this site has a well paying WFH job that lets them be lazy as frick yet make good money. Its like how every queer on Ganker is 6'2 and hit 1/2/3/4 in middle school lel
Exactly. WFH jobs are pretty much the only ones that someone would want to brag about having on Ganker. I don't think anyone wants to hear about how I give disabled people medicine and clean up after them.
I mean the only non-ESLs that would be posting right now are going to be WFH people or NEETs with no jobs. Most the NEETs with no jobs aren't gonna be posting in the job thread either, so its not too suprising.
This guy is so close but is scapegoating the faceless "capitalists" as the ones enforcing the new rule of work. But the progression in technology was the thing that spurred the change in work culture. The invention of the mechanical clock, the industrial revolution, artificial lighting and heating allowing for longer work days.
The reason work was so disorganized and laid back prior to this is because the business owners lacked the proper means of control. Technology gave them this control and allowed them to monitor, quantify and dehumanize workers.
Progress in technology caused capitalism, not the other way around. This guy seems hell-bent on portraying it the other way around. He doesnt even mention the industrial revolution's effect at all and resorts to calling the perpetrators "industrial capitalists" as if they were the only ones who went through the industrial revolution. Every person in society went through it.
>Technology gave them this control and allowed them to monitor, quantify and dehumanize workers.
Indeed, my company is now requiring employees track their time spent on individual tasks.
They have someone to help them financially, not to mention the fact that they take out loans all the time, so in the long run you have less debt than they do.
feel like normies have more money than me
This is where your logic is fricked. Those people don't *have* more money than you, they just spend more money than you. Spending is the only metric you can measure other people by, it doesn't reflect their actual net worth in any way.
>Finally get job I like after continually jumping from company to company >Live comfortably enough to do whatever and barely have to think >Still don't spend money on modern vidya
>Almost 30 >Culinary degree >still just a useless cook working with convicts and druggies >This entire industry all prides themselves on making poverty wages and blowing it all on booze or smack after a 70 hour week
Seriously, go check out any “chef” instagram page or Kitchen Confidential Reddit. It’s all miserable junkies coping about their shitty situation. And I need to train these people and somehow be proud about what I do.
I’m a goddamn failure compared to anyone who got into tech.
Yeah, I've never met a chef that wasn't either some breed of annoying butthole or just pitiful. Even well off ones seem like they take themselves way too seriously. Sorry, bro. If you really hate it then it's never too late to change your life. My Dad went back to school in his 40s while working a dead-end job, didn't even finish his degree, got certified, and now he makes like six figures in networking. He still has to remind himself from time to time that he's not broke.
I don't know what I did wrong. I was overqualified and willing to take lower pay just to have the job. The homosexual interview had a weak handshake though so maybe that had something to do with it idk
Hope for WW3
>millenials are so bored/miserable they hope for the horrors of war

Yes, the world has gone stagnant on all fronts, there needs to be a major period of change.
I'm sick of hearing about the same issues, problems, and societal structures.

i guess its easy to live off your savings when you still live with your mom.
Get gud homosexual.

You sound pretty mad about the fact that I am wealthier than you despite not working at the moment. Lol.
NTA but I don't think it's wise to gloat about being a useless loser
okay buddy, say hi to the boss today and pray his wife sucked him.
>we can't just NEET away our existence
Oh, you can. You just chose not to.
>get WFH job

Based, same here. I usually work around 4 hours a day and frick around for the rest. I'm doing that right now!
I actually do. I was born rich. So you wagecucks are beneath me. The only time I ever took a wagie job was in the summer season when I was so incredibly bored.

Work long enough and your employer will start doing shit to you that they absolutely could get arrested for if you had the balls to seek legal counsel. They just count on you not having the balls to do it. Grow a pair, get a conviction, then sue. It just means that you become more selective of what you play. If the game doesn't push you to skip sleep, it's a 7/10 at best.
Go to sleep after work not before work
Find a job in the gaming industry so you can play games all day at work

I'd rather have my own app/web service and earn a fraction of what I'm earning right now, but I can't think of anything.
How old are you guys that you feel exhausted after work?
Better question - why are you underage?
I'm in my early 20s, you're just a weak pansy.
so you are just a college brat?
>26 year old zoomers is underage to moronic millennial
I swear millennials think fricking everyone is underaged. They act like actual boomers even though they're technically not. It's like they want to put you down for being ''underaged'' but also feel insecure about their age.
Millennials were the biggest laughing stock for years and now they take out their angry on an imaginary boogyman.
20, and I work part time.
I come home everyday exhausted and immediately fall asleep in my work clothes for like 10 hours. I eat one meal a day because cooking takes hours and I need my 2 hours of daily vidya or I'll rope.
Just exercise regularly or take Adderall. Unless you're under 50 there's zero reason a man should be "so exhausted" he can't play a video game, which requires you to only hold a controller.
>under
over*
What kind of advice is "take adderal" if they are working a physically exhausting job?
>oh? you're sleep deprieved?
>Here, take some meth!
You have israeli brainworms. never give medical advice over the internet ever again.
>working a physically exhausting job?
Like me? It's just a suggestion for lazy people who can't work out.
I know dudes over 60 who work full time and play ARGPs. That anon is just a pussy.
>which requires you to only hold a controller
I also drink coffee in the morning.
>what is mental exhaustion
i feel that anon. i’m the guy b***hing about his IT job. i do feel guilty b***hing about being tired but people don’t realise that dealing with other people all day (especially as a computer dork like myself who’s a genuine introvert) is very exhausting. now try do that day in day out while trying to have some semblance of down-time. and good luck getting down time in the weekends if you have even the tiniest social life. i need my solo time or i go insane.
A Meme by a pussy.
video games are not fun on adderall, especially after work
>video games are not fun on adderall,
Objectively wrong.
ive been taking the shit for 16 years i think id know little homie
you don't know what their job is
most of Ganker works amazon warehouse tier jobs, it's as close to a south asian sweatshop gig as you can get in a first world country
>technological progress
>automation
>still have to work
>boomer c**ts are calling for us to work even more
What the frick?
I don’t wanna go to work tomorrow either, but I’ll be over it by the time I get there. I like my job. I’m just kinda lazy.
>might suffer humiliation from those whose who thought I would go far
What does "go far" mean anymore? Being yet another senior executive butthole at Hustlecorp, looking at spreadsheets and emails all day, cosplaying as a character from Mad Men? And all of it just to paint a bullseye on yourself the minute the CEO or shareholders' stock dips by .0001%?
The only one whose idea of success should matter to you is you, anon.
>hate working a stressful professional job
>think about working the counter of a small independent shop
>pay will be less, but mind will be more at ease
>simple man who wants for little but my own time and freedom
>might suffer humiliation from those whose who thought I would go far
What do I do?
do you want to stress yourself out for admiration of others who dont give a shit anyways. look out for yourself.
Do what you know is right for you. There’s no sense in working yourself into an early grave due to stress.
They don't actually care whether you go far or not, they just want you to fit their delusional image of what they want you to do. What they've been conditioned to want you to do. They don't give a shit, someone who cares would just want you to be happy.
In 60 years it wont matter what anybody else thinks, as you will all be dead.
Same.
I play video games at work
Lucky
They also stopped with the free food and instead of having a nice breakfast, they throw it all away in the waste, they also don't pay me for my breaks any more for some reason. After reading this thread I should probably quit.
>get hours cut
>haven't been into work for almost two months
They could just fire me instead of having me in fricking Limbo
Easier to keep you around if they need the help I guess. You reminded me how bad wagie jobs suck, I had to quit my last one for the opposite reason back in college. They were giving me way too many hours and after 3 times of trying to explain this to them I just quit and worked for my college instead.
>gf of 2 years broke up with me
>lose all motivation to play my favorite games
>lose all motivation to go to the gym anymore
>lose all motivation to continue studying
>still go into work
I just wanna lie down and die. I’m tired bros
they say that it takes half the length of your relationship's time to fully recover from heartbreak. 2 years mean you will be in excruciating mental and spiritual pain and suffering for at least the next 12 months.
The price we pay for falling in love.
I’ve kinda become numb to it a month later, I’m don’t even feel sad but just angry and depressed. Meds aren’t doing anything.
Is it over?
The only way past it is through it. It's okay to feel like shit for a while as long as you don't try to ignore it or let it consume you.
Time heals and all that, guy. It can help to add something new to your life to distract you and remind yourself that life can improve.
Good luck
Thanks anons. I’ll try my best
Similar situation here, split with my gf of three years and now I have no motivation to do anything but I still go to work. I think I'm starting to understand why boomers live for their jobs, it's better than idly browsing Ganker all day. At least I'm not alone when I'm at work.
>wake up 7:50
>turn on work laptop, put it next to me
>play games on my home PC
>once in a while do some work stuff or attend a meeting (lol)
>16:00 turn off work laptop, continue with the day
In restrospect corona was the best thing ever to happen
>have only been working as an office wagie for 2 months total
>already fricking hate it
What the frick, how do you people live like this?
I was enjoying myself more working at a fricking construction site during summer in college.
>falling for the office meme
Everyone in an office is miserable, take the engineerpill and make their lives slightly more inconvenient
You don't do real work in an office, you find a hobby and get paid to do that instead.
Also PLEASE tell me you did not take an "open office" job.
If anything were ever an example of anti-community classism it would be the corporate office.
>be me
>work a specialist trade job
>make a decent living
>constantly beefing savings
>start at 8:30, end at 2 or 3
>trying to figure out how much I need to quit my job
>mfw I'm at work monitoring a real gauge thinking about wanting to be home
>be outsourced IT helpdesk lackey (swear im not indian sers do the needful)
>our remote access software is broken shit
>we have frick all documentation for most customers so any work that is network related is blood from a stone
>that or the documentation is years out of date and not relevant anymore
>get the feeling jobs are so micromanaged, if you aren’t buddy-buddy with the dispatcher you get all the shit ones
>work 9:am to 5:30pm
>depending on how shit my raise will be i’ll probably be leaving but then i have to find another fricking job and i hate the job search game
wagey get in the fricking cagey is right. i wanna kill myself. i should have swallowed my pride and just worked at the local supermarket. i’d probably be making the same fricking money for less overall hours.
>work 9:am to 5:30pm
Boomers must pay for their treachery
i dont even really mind that. i still find time to play some vidya after work most days (when im not pissed off at everything). it’s just that the work itself is so awkward due to the broken ass tools and the setup of our documentation / customer tracking system, any ticket more involved than “can u pls install Office 365 for me pls” becomes a frickin mountain out of a molehill. just getting in contact with the person in the other company is a nightmare half the time because i can’t properly connect to their PC. wish i was still a NEET. what a fricking joke. work should be a minor inconvenience at the start if your day that pays the bills.
and if that isn’t bad enough, im still in my 20s so i need this at least to buff up my CV. but the leave period is a month. a fricking month, so i can’t just go okay peace homosexuals i’m out. what the company is gonna fall apart if one lackey leaves? thr company is gonna crumble if a printer doesn’t get fixed today? frick off. me drying of stress isn’t worth barely €25k a year.
>but the leave period is a month. a fricking month, so i can’t just go okay peace homosexuals i’m out
Your annual leave or your notice period for wanting to quit?
>Have friend in IT
>Two weeks prior they tell him he's going to another state to do some server maintenance
>He gets over there, turns out they didn't get him proper access to the area
>Spends the whole 3 days just sitting around waiting for them to sort it out
>Ends up going home without even touching anything
Anytime I read about companies making "record profits" I can only image stories like this, were corporations are just pissing away money into the grass.
>job has low hours but involves getting up at 5
>when i get home i'm ready to fall into a fricking comma every time
>Going to work.
Are wagies for real?
>work night shift today
>no one to watch me or boss me around
>im pretty much the only person in the office
>finish all my work in the first few hours then spend the rest of the night shitposting on Ganker, reading or playing vidya on my phone
>all of this while getting paid extra because its a night shift
Lifes ok sometimes. Im considering buying a handheld console just so i can take it to work with me.
Steam dick.
They will look at the camera footage if you're new to nightshifts
NTA but it really depends on what he's doing if they actually give a shit or not.
If he's a night shift guard for example they're just paying him to stand around anyways, so they really don't care.
>15$ a hour
>paid by the week
>midnight to 7am
>just have to walk around a factory after everything is shut off and the workers have fricked off
If I didn't have a job that was so solitary I'd probably off myself via pain killers and alchohol. Can't stand the sound of humans.
Having to work 8 hours a day is slavery and cruel. We have to rise up Gankerros.
Just kill your boss homosexual
>work from 2am to 11am doing warehouse work
>get home and eat something
>just sit around tired in a daze but not sleepy for 5 hours doing nothing
>think about playing something but just watch youtube for 2 hours
>get really tired and go to bed and repeat
I did that for 2 years and im amazed i didnt kill myself, 2 years just lost in a black hole i can never get back
I got a warehouse job once. I quit on the first day. There was no fricking chance I was slaving away like that for 8 hours a day when literally anything else is better.
How do people handle working those jobs? The only thing I can imagine is that they are criminals who can’t get anything else because of their record
it paid well for a skill-less job
Any heavy labor job is worked because it pays the best for whatever that person can get.
cause i barely even interviewed and got a job with medical and dental coverage. yeah its shit, life is shit.
>medical and dental coverage
American moment
>Work
>Dad called me a "fricking loser"
Perhaps it is time to get a job.
At this point I play more vidya at work than I do on my days off.
Help
Yeah just hop and take that pay raise somewhere else. One of our teams is like that, not all the pajeet stuff but the "its remote (but actually you need to go out of state one week every month)" shit. Everybody they moved on to that team quit it after a few months and I refused to go to it when asked.
If everyone on the team is old boomers that is a terrible sign, it means all of the young people have better job opportunities and won't work it, so they had to bring the people who don't know any better or will be loyal to the company no matter what on.
>WFH 10k a month
>Herpdiderp should I quit? My co workers are old and cringe, I need to do a tiny bit of travel
Get the frick outta here homie, I would kill my parents for your job
ungrateful reddit spacing Black person. Makes sense someone b***hing like this is a cancuck
What kind of business do you work for if you don't mind my asking?
I do Product Development, Technical Support, Product Installation, Training, Testing and Repairs for one of my (still first world) countries biggest printer and printing equipment distributors
I make 37k yearly
Sounds like engaging work. I hope you get by well enough.
I‘m an underpayed one man fricking army. I cannot fathom someone earing 120k yearly from a cushy WFH job and I‘m extremely jelly.
Get into software tech, you're being underpayed heavily. Start searching linkedin, I had to grind from a minimum wage job to get here, took me awhile and wasn't a overnight success.
>had shitty understaffed busy, overtime bullshit job for years
>finally quit
>instantly find a new job
>it's super easy and pays way more and I can take multiple breaks since the business is slow, no overtime bullshit, they even serve free food to employees everyday
>job is only a 25 minute powerwalk from my house
I've finally made it bros.
this except the job is WFH and I literally sleep for half the day, and browse this shithole while doing menial tasks for the other half
god I wish I could find a decent paying job that isnt stressful as shit.
You should get a bicycle bro, that commute will be INSTANT. Unless you like the exercise of walking of course.
I actually do need the excercise. My previous job was super busy so I need to compensate for the current EZ job. The exercise also keeps my energy levels high.
your gif makes me unreasonably happy lol
>have dev job
>flexible work hours and can WFH, while raking in money
>usually put in a lot of effort in the start of our sprint so I can spend the remaining time relaxing, with some code reviews here and there
God it feels so fricking good being part of the master race, I thank myself everyday for getting a CS degree
Only thing that beats dev jobs are jobs in the oil field (2 weeks on the job, then 4 weeks off)
its amazing how 99% of this site has a well paying WFH job that lets them be lazy as frick yet make good money. Its like how every queer on Ganker is 6'2 and hit 1/2/3/4 in middle school lel
well I cant speak for other anons, im just telling my experience
those gays are just the loudest. i dont really want to detail my warehouse job where i work in the florida heat everyday getting pissed the frick off.
You know night shifts exist bro.
Night shift people are gonna be asleep in burgerland right now.
I'm up talking about anime characters I want to frick
are CS degrees still viable for newcomers? i've been thinking about college lately...
I'm at work and drinking coffee. This is acceptable.
this blackpilled the frick outta me
we had a good thing going
Wait what's happening tomorrow. I got the day off anyway
ANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON... (ANON) (anon)
Who here low paying job + low stress kino?
Me, even went part time for reduced stress. Having zero ambitions in life ain't so bad.
>make decent amount of money
>save alot, don't go out like normies
>still feel like normies have more money than me
Anybody else feel like this?
maybe you spend more than you think in a certain area.
I used to think this then I learned most of them live check to check
They have someone to help them financially, not to mention the fact that they take out loans all the time, so in the long run you have less debt than they do.
feel like normies have more money than me
This is where your logic is fricked. Those people don't *have* more money than you, they just spend more money than you. Spending is the only metric you can measure other people by, it doesn't reflect their actual net worth in any way.
Normalgays think 4 figures in the bank is more than enough savings, they spend the rest
Me neither, but money = happiness
>Finally get job I like after continually jumping from company to company
>Live comfortably enough to do whatever and barely have to think
>Still don't spend money on modern vidya
I just keep playing old games. Hell I went back to modded skyrim to play "DLC sized" mods ever since Starfield was a boring mess.
>Almost 30
>Culinary degree
>still just a useless cook working with convicts and druggies
>This entire industry all prides themselves on making poverty wages and blowing it all on booze or smack after a 70 hour week
Super based and gives me some hopium as an almost 30 year old with a worthless degree and no job
It sounds cheesy anon, but it's only truly ogre when you say it is. I've seen a guy completely turn his life around in his fifties before.
Then just don't.
>work 6-5 4 days a week and 6-3:30 on fridays
I get paid well but I can’t play vidya except on the weekends I’m just too blasted
>2023
>still having to go to work
y'all can't be serious
I'm deadass headass serious fr anon. I'm not disabled and can't bring myself to mooch off of my parents. I prefer living on my own.
I work from home, 4 days a week, the job is piss easy and the pay is good, so why wouldn't I keep this job? Being on welfare would be a bigger hassle
do you ever say y'all out loud in real life or are you just a huge homosexual
shut the frick up yankee homosexual
I live in the south, moron.
>rejected by yet another company "urgently hiring"
This job market is a joke.
stop being white
I don't know what I did wrong. I was overqualified and willing to take lower pay just to have the job. The homosexual interview had a weak handshake though so maybe that had something to do with it idk
