Both are good games with their own broken mechanics and both easily enjoyable.
World is more casual fun. I can play with people and have that feel of an MMO-lite without interacting with anyone because of the lobby system, quest posts and SOS. When I play Rise I have to do too much work to get that same experience because the lobbies are trash.
Hell I can still go into a World lobby and see people chatting and shitposting in the lobby chat between missions, shit makes me feel like I'm playing a real online game

No. Rise costs too much. I got a World key for nearly nothing. Also the items in Rise are too complicated. I just want to kill dragons, not open 6 excel sheets to theorycraft 2% more damage.

I like world since it doesn't look complicated like rise does with it's hook mechanic thing. If anything the flying and shit turned me off since it looked like it was complicating something that didn't need it. I'm mostly talking out of my ass since I've never touched rise.
I loved both for different things, while I enjoyed doing crazy shit with the wire bugs, I hop they don't come back and maybe have some npc make a remark about how hunting in Kamura is so different. "Dem batshit crazy Asians and their wirebugs and palamutes"
