yeah, it's weak as frick
there's a lot wrong with ER
Godricks track and the Godskin track are good enough to listen to on their own, the rest is forgettable
Yea there are like 3 decent tracks that's it
>Works at super market
>Godricks track comes up as I help an elderly old lady unload her groceries on the treadmill and return to my register to scan every single item
I'm thinking based.
This, the only good one was the duo white guys ost.
What's the name of that soundtrack?
souls soundtracks have never been that good
bloodborne had some really good parts, but also lots of boring songs
demons souls and ds1 were the best
>demons souls was the best
you people are delusuional. demons souls was like them pulling a group of highschool students with 1 year in band and telling them to make something stupid
demon's souls had >soul and good atmosphere. Some of the tracks like tower knight were silly, but it was at least memorable.
Contemporary souls soundtracks are too much loud orchestra with meaningless latin chanting.
godskins was good
malenia phase 2 is good
mohg phase 1 is good
tree sentinels is good battle music
morgotts was good
Elden ring has a lot of good music.
O&S is the best music in any game ever made.
Pontiff is good too.
I don't understand why it's so bad
It's mixed to be monotone droning with no highs or lows
Like fricking white noise
>I don't understand why it's so bad
>proceeds to explain why it's bad
Yea it's just white noise. There's no melody. The soundtrack has become a parody of itself.
I can't tell if it's the songs or possibly also the mixing. Every sound in each track sounds exactly the same volume and it just feels flat.
This
In previous games the boss OST actually fits the bosses character/lore such as
Everything in ER is just generic
The godskin one fits the lore amazingly
>ayyo this here be the pinnacle of souls music! amirite my fellow shit tasters?
lmaoooo
same energy
hypey boss music falls flat when youre just posting frogs on the interwebs
Im convinced the people who hate on elden rings music are just tone deaf and have shit taste.
Yeah, the soundtrack was extremely forgettable.
All the Soulsborne games soundtrack is the same. Ever since Dark Souls 2 every boss theme is just OOOAAAAAHHHHHHH choir chanting while an orchestra plays generic epic music.
Only Demons Souls OST feels somehow unique and different but that's probably because they didn't have the budget to the bullshit they do now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPJUQg_U5HY
>weakest bloodborne ost
The title theme rules, and it’s awesome when it’s going hard vs Radagon. Open world games typically don’t have the best soundtracks as they go minimal to avoid annoying people with the same melody over and over.
I was extremely disappointed by the OST. DS3 and BB have amazing music and I assumed Elden ring would be even better than those.
Here's an actual good piece of music
What do you guys see in these, it's generic epic music, all these songs blend together. I couldn't even tell you if something is from Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne and I finished both games multiple times. Meanwhile I can humm you every song in Zelda.
BB yeah but DS3 was just as forgettable with every track being nearly identical to the rest barring a few outliers like Yhorm (no Gael didn't have a good theme and no his fight wasn't good.)
Demon's and BB are the only overall good OSTs in the series.
I listen to it pretty often actually
Because its literally computer generated
Fromsoft couldn't give less of a shit about Elden Ring its why their b team worked on it
I think their problem is that they have too high of a budget, whoever is in charge of the OST only knows how to do one type of music, and probably the most damaging: they have one theme per boss sometimes 2 themes for multiple phase bosses. The games would benefit greatly from having less of the explosive shit and tone it down and focus to have a few memorable and recognizable themes that get re-used instead.
Everyone agrees that the Godskin theme was one of the best. It went unusually hard for what amounted to a mini boss encounter.
Radahn's full track and Rennala's phase 1 are good, forgot the rest
this fight was made better thanks to the music
and the whole capital was amazing
For me, it's Godfrey's theme
Just a freindly reminder that videogame music isn't real music
And pop and rap is? Frick off.
