Literally the most boring b***h >m-muh spirits, muh crystals...
She is fricking moronic tumblr insane b***h and looks like she would kill you with a scissor
How to have fun with this? I tried it after all the Ganker shilling, spent over an hour clearing my land of shit, laid down some fencing so it looked more like a farm, and by then was thoroughly bored and quit.
I was the same, tried a few times but recently its just sort of clicked?
I work in a labour intensive job, so when I game I just want to relax.
This game is comfy as hell, luv me fishing (op)

>select a good seed from a reddit thread, a first month fairy visit seed or something >clear space for first 15 turnip seeds >clear trees only til out of energy >head south out of the farm and loot the forests forage >loop to the beach, forage, sell everything but spring onions at the store, loop to the mountain, back to the store before close to sell more and buy potato seeds >eat spring onions and plant potato then go to sleep
Wash rinse repeat, you will quickly be able to make tree snacks from tree seeds to help you chop more wood to buy more potato seeds. You can get to the desert in time for 2 crops of starfruit your first summer this method but it is better to plant mass blueberry seeds followed by 1 crop of starfruit. You also have to balance in mine time to get sprinklers to save energy but you should be able to get between 1 million and 2 million money in your first year this way and then throw away the game because you burnt out and your farm looks like shit.
Figure out what you don't like about it and mod that. I could not play stardew for more than an hour until I got a mod for running. And then I had a problem with dialogue repeating every week so I got canon friendly dialogue. And then I wanted to marry jas. And with those 3 mandatory mods, and many more added on top over the years, it's now one of my favorite games.
>How to have fun with this?
The game begins the same way for when it is best played. When life brings you down and it feels like you're stuck and need an escape. Play it.
>into extreme healthy habiting
Impossible today without completely rejecting society and living like a caveman. They put so many pesticides and other garbage plastic into your food that even if you try to eat healthy you will likely just die of cancer at 50 anyway. The machine has become too big, and that is also one of the themes in the game.
And dont forget, if you actually do go live like a caveman in pursuit of a healthier life; the rain has plastic in it now too, as well as the wildlife.
try not to get focused on being the most optimally run/most profitable farm, unless that's the kinda thing you like doing, it's the fastest way to get burnt out.
there's tons of mods out there just for QoL stuff
also, there's always next season if you miss an event
The biggest thing I would recommend is to have the wiki open on a side tab, you never know where an npc for some reason and they are fricking off in the one location you didn't check.
A general early newb tip and a good way to figure out what you should be doing is to go to the community center (I think you have to go on two different days) to see what the "bundles" are you need to complete.
Completing the bundles unlocks a lot of stuff.
download automate mod.
Makes chest push items into machines and pulls items out, frick massive furnace lines when you need bars. works with other machines as well. can set it up to make pathways act as a 'conveyor belt ' to pull / push things from further away.
>year of our lord 2024 >even the most hack untalented moron can generate unlimited semi passable dialogue at the click of a button thanks to AI >farming games still all stuck with npcs that say the same 2-3 lines on repeat over and over forever

i generally hate the term board culture but this sort of thing literally is board culture and improves the quality of the experience. Jasanon doesn't gay about in the thread for a hundred posts trying to bait people, he does his thing and goes. It's like seeing the same neighbor on his bike every morning when you go out for the mail,.it makes it feel like a community.
I generally agree because it's usually a bunch of zero effort trash posts that contribute nothing, but I make exceptions for VB and berniebro/jasbro. VB because the thought of him keeping jannies up at night is funny and berniebro/jasbro being able to take the first post in their threads for so long is honestly just impressive and they only post once.
But even
I love my cute rock-munching wife!
really isn't that bad on its own. The worst it does is spawn what we're doing right now.

Some beginner tip, bro >plant cropperinos >fish on rainy days for early money >mines on rainy days when you dont wanna fish >regrowable crops are very good, stawbs, bluebs, etc. >take things at your own pace and don't worry about missing content, there's basically none to miss except for one very specific cutscene with Sam >joja is for sovlless hacks, do community center >Haley is best girl, second place is Emily, but they're a package deal
I played Stardew once many years ago before a lot of new stuff like the island was added, and every time I try to get back into it I make it a few months then lose the drive to continue.
Maybe next time I'll stick it through. It was still fun anyways I also went for Emily as my waif
The best part of stardew is the first year before winter. Once you hit winter the game slows down and then you hit year 2 and you see everything repeating, really kills the drive to continue. I'm glad 1.6 seems to be adding more content for that, rather than more lategame islands.
It's a way to just turn your brain off and relax. Put yourself in a nice little idyllic fantasy world and not have to think about your life and problems. Other video games don't really scratch that same itch because you're still trying to figure out how to overcome challenges and beat them.
Ideally the game would have you in a flow state to keep you engaged, but with literally zero challenge it just ends up being a snoozefest no matter what you do. Kinda lame.
It's got more of a challenge to it than something like animal crossing, but even that's a double edged sword for some as they feel stressed to do as much as they can each day and don't like the combat existing at all. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
>autosage
Goddammit, why are they like this, out of the entire fanboy and shitpost riddled catalogue are stardew threads really the ones worth going out of the way to constantly kill?
plant crops, water crops, gather crops, inseminate wife

An important tip is to acknowledge Emily as best girl, but you already know that.

Used up prostitute, irrelevant choice, only slightly better than Leah who is a wine aunt who would be fat and uninteresting irl with her interests.
>Used up prostitute
You're thinking of Penny.
Penny is a gold digger but I see no evidence she is ran through
She looks like the joker's twin sister.

Bro! You should fricking try Dave the Diver if you enjoy Stardew Valley! You will literally be blown away!
Dave the diver is fun, but it's not really the same. Felt much more repetitive for some reason.

Where is he?
Hes dead, Jim. Jasbot is dead.
vanned
i'm about to blow your mind. jasanon makes 90% of the stardew valley threads just so he can post in them first.
i made a bunch in the past and he posted in it first so debunked
>just so he can post in them first.
And thats a good thing. Ritualposters are a blessing. Just like vidjabutts makes 90% of butt threads.
They’re a /vg/ cancer. They cause eternal stagnation and hordes of morons actively suppressing any conversation in favour of a circlejerk

You still need to hit the mines goyim. The gems won't get themselves.
Even at a leisurely pace you can easily reach the bottom by mid summer though. Really stunts that feeling of progression.
>no sprinklers
looks nice, but I'd kill myself if I had to water all that shit by hand.
>comfy
I don't get the "comfy" craze. For me it's just boring. There's little to no meaningful content there.
It's a way to just turn your brain off and relax. Put yourself in a nice little idyllic fantasy world and not have to think about your life and problems. Other video games don't really scratch that same itch because you're still trying to figure out how to overcome challenges and beat them.

Share the full pic with us bro
I love my cute rock-munching wife!
do you think she got that from her dad the wizard?
The Wizard also likes quartz, so probably
everybody told you that stardew valley was comfy you fricking idiot
thats the only thing anyone's ever said about the game
1.6 when?
Never.

There's one moronic janny who specifically hates this game. Jannies all deserve death with no mercy unironically
