>no passwords
>no stage select
>literally impossible boss that sends you back 3 levels
Why? How the frick is someone expected to beat this in one sitting?

I beat NG in an afternoon, never played it before or since, it's mostly memorization. IIRC that boss in particular can be beaten just hitting it, no need to dodge, as long as you get there with full health he'll go down before you do.
Or use the jump spin slash on him on him to kill nearly instantly. Still a ridiculous boss, took me a while and I ended up beating him by spamming attack with full health like said. But it is possible to beat him without getting hit, even if the timing is tight.
>But it is possible to beat him without getting hit
I've never been able to dodge those lightning balls
You can just crouch and mash the attack button also your sword range is slightly longer than it seems
This. It’s literally the simplest shit. You need to pass this OP, and post updates.
I'll try
The game fills your health when you get to this boss so it's literally un-loseable if you just spam attacks
Treated this boss like a puzzle.
Wondered why it was sending me back three sub-levels.
But being sent back meant I could collect more spirit energy.
So I beat the level in one go, and demolished the boss with all the item energy I had accumulated.
I did and the final boss is hard but not impossible plus the bosses that you alrready killed stay dead if you die
Get good
>How the frick is someone expected to beat this in one sitting?
by getting gud
how are you this bad at ninja gaiden?? it's literally just muscle memory dude
This boss has unavoidable attacks. Nice job outing yourself as a try hard casual.
you can easily beat that boss by running up to him and spamming the attack button while tanking his attacks. if you’re fast enough you can kill him before he kills you.
I beat it. Git Gud you mother fricking homosexual.
You get infinite continues. There is zero reason why anyone would be incapable of beating it
Dying to him even once means going all the way back to 5-1
Did you try to not die?
It's meant to a very hard game op.
You are playing a real game, you could go back to your rpgs or sims
ITT: Adult men boasting about beating a Nintendo game that was difficult for pre-teens to finish in the 80s.
In your post: an effeminate adult man crying about his inability to beat a game that the rest of us beat as children
Well that's the thing, frickhead. You didn't beat it. If you were a normal kid (which most of us were because autism wasn't a thing), you would've thrown the controller through the TV upon realizing that losing all of your lives on 6-3 meant you had to start over at 6-1. You beat it with a Game Genie like the rest of us, else you were one of those weird smelly kids that never went outside and played NES all day every day. Thanks for the (You).
Cry more gay, the game isn't impossible you literally get unlimited continues. Keep seething that you suck at a child's game
Yes, I sucked at a child's game when I was 12. I didn't have hours upon hours to master climbing up the wall to hit that flying demon frick 16 times or carrying that whirlwind blade through two stage. I actually went outside and played. Unlimited continues don't mean shit when you have to go through 3 seriously difficult stages with 3 lives AND beat 3 bosses in a row. It's bad design and you allow gay men to defecate in your mouth for free.
Damn dude I'm sorry to tell you this but just jumping off the platforms gives you just enough height to land hits on the 2nd boss.
>I didn't have hours upon hours to master climbing up the wall to hit that flying demon frick 16 times or carrying that whirlwind blade through two stage.
You were 12 you literally had nothing but time to do that. There's games I beat as a kid that now I look at and think "this will take me 6 months to finish".
>"this will take me 6 months to finish"
I did a run on Dragon Quest on an emulator with fast-forward and though I spent 9 hours IRL on it, the in-game timer was at 132 hours
>some sadistic anon will try to use FF function on non-JRPG games just to beat them faster
>you would've thrown the controller through the TV
Why do idiots always resort to violence when they fail to do something?
that boss isn't impossible, you just have to be a real ninja and accept the damage while dishing out even more.
Yeah, it's called a video game. Not a hand holdy cinematic button pusher you zooms are used to.
funny enough NG had a story told by cutscenes
The back of the box brags that its cinematics make you feel like you are watching a movie
From what I understand the game only takes 15 minutes to beat.
If you lose, just start over.
>From what I understand the game only takes 15 minutes to beat.
This is what zoomers who watch TASed "longplays" on youtube actually believe
Arcus routinely beats Ninja Gaiden under 15 minutes. He's done it over 30000 times now.
Git gud, newbie.
>no password, no stage select, the game impossible to beat
What if Ryu had breast cancer and you had to drive him to the hospital for his breast exams?
It also took me quite a few tries to beat the game tbh, like other anons said it mostly comes down to muscle memory in the end. The exploit where you can make enemies despawn at the edge of the screen becomes pretty useful once or twice in the final stage
This is probably the easiest boss in the game just get up in his face and battle of attrition him. Only tricky if you think about it too much.
>needing passwords or stage select for a 20 minute game
I literally beat this on my lunch breaks at my old job. Literally git gud.
That boss is literally just "hit it until it dies". There is no strategy, or gimmick or anything. You just attack it and if you attack it without pause, it dies before you do.
Or just use the spinslash and it dies in 1 hit just like every boss in the game.
>Or just use the spinslash and it dies in 1 hit just like every boss in the game.
They do?, I thought the ability was garbage it activates itself
I really don't mind playing Stage 5 again
its got infinite continues my boy! infinite continues!
>I really don't mind playing Stage 5 again
this is the way. no lie tho the first time I got to the boss and died and got sent back I just turned off my nes turned 360 degrees and walked away. the second time I had the pattern mostly down but still failed. the 3rd time I just watched youtube so I knew the strat aha.
>beat this in one sitting
I think this is the falacy with zoomers. as a kid you got infinite time and no money so you can replay the few games you got again and again from the begining because your mom turns off your console and only lets you play a few hours at a time... so you just repeat until you're a ninja god. I feel like now people just sit down emulate some shit at random at 5x speed and save state bosses until they complete it in 15 minutes. which is fine its just a game you're playing for fun... but you can't expect to get good at it instantly.
Time argument falls apart when you consider that the same people put hundreds or thousands of hours into open world games like Skyrim or GTA.
> time argument falls... people put hundreds or thousands of hours into open world games
hmm kind of... I don't think most are playing those to no death or fastest time run. I guess zoomers have valarant, fortnite, ext... so maybe their mario lost levels is building forts really fast... I wouldn't know those games require friends.
If you spin 360 degrees u end up facing the same way you started dumbass
cringe
All you need to beat Ninja Gaiden is unbreakable determination.
What the frick were they thinking taking out infinite continues in NG3
ng3 is easier than the first two. Even with taking double damage. There's always the NG3 Restored hack https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/570/ Has the continues and damage of the JP version, but the enemy/orb placement of the NA version.
OK I beat him.
To be fair, he comes at you so fricking fast you would never think to just stand there and tank the hits while you kill him.
I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 when I was 8. Get good.
