it's easy but very mind numbing as you have to mash attack for hrs on mobs to farm limits, look online as to what you can steal from specific enemies, what enemies use what magic so you can obtain it via enemy skill, and spend hours chocobo breeding which is the worst part of the game imo
forgot to mention you can't efficiently grind materia until you get double/triple growth weapons which happens quite a ways into the game
