>CUZ ITS NOT LIKE ITS RUINED MULTIPLE INDUSTRIES OR ANYTHING
Multiple industries thrived because of piracy. Gaming is one of them. Who the frick paid for GTA3? Who the frick pays for GTA5? That simple.
Most entertrainment products make significant part of their revenue in those first few months, it's that period you want to protect the most. After that piracy is pretty much free advertising and the game might be cracked anyway, s you can just remove the drm to cut costs and receive some free positivepress if you're lucky.
And how many would-be pirates are actually going to buy a game that has denuvo? Sure devs are stopping people playing their games for free but they're losing money to do it. For a publicly traded company to spend money on spite seems really dumb.
Only denuvo games that I am interested on is personashit, lies of p, sanic and hifi rush. Decided to take the bullet and just pirate them on the PS4 instead lmao
Only waiting for hi fi rush now
Piracy really appears to be going through a drought due to a competency problem due to the old people retiring or having better priorities in life, but also because Denuvo has been seen on record hiring actual crackers. Getting a high salary helping install DRMs sounds more appealing than cracking games for autism/fame/free. It doesn't help that the younger generations who were supposed to replace these guys weren't encouraged enough to get into piracy by their millennial and boomer fellows. Unnecessary gatekeeping or outright disdain towards newbies and young people willing to get into it are shockingly common on online communities. As a result, very few know or even understand that things could be more convenient and cheaper than the currently existing services provided by companies. They also tend to overestimate the law's reach. Of course they would, corporate marketing literally replaced their tutors and a majority of older people just looked and thought "hurr durr those damn kids" instead of trying to fix the problem.
Denuvo doesn't really affect piracy thoughever. No games aside from AAA slop use Denuvo. Games which are worth playing are either DRM free or can be cracked via the regular Steam DRM with zero effort.
It's the same in every profession. Older people laughing at "kids these days", refusing to train young people, asking four years of experience for entry positions, then wondering why they can't find anyone already qualified. People accuse strawmen of corporate atmosphere but it is a general cultural problem.
If you're gonna pirate just be honest about what it is, I pirate shit but I'm not about to pretend it has no effect. It's actually pretty funny seeing the cognitive dissonance when pirates talk about "ohhh you shouldn't pirate indie games" ...but I thought it wasn't theft? I thought it didn't effect a games sales? Another argument I see a lot is that"oh the pirate would not have bought the game anyway" which again is false because I know for a fact there are games I probably would have bought if I couldn't easily just go on fitgirl and grab the repack straight away
I pirate a game when I think it's not worth the money. If I'm proven right, great. If I'm proven wrong, I buy the game if I have the spare cash.
But if I think the game isn't worth money and I can't pirate it, I just don't play it. Maybe I don't even have the extra in the budget to buy it in the first place. It's not like there aren't 50 other games to be playing at any single moment. The only thing denuvo does is make me forget a game even exists.
HA HA PIRACY SO FUNNY!!!!!
CUZ ITS NOT LIKE ITS RUINED MULTIPLE INDUSTRIES OR ANYTHING
CUZ ITS NOT LIKE INDIE DEVELOPERS HAVE SUFFERED, AND STILL SUFFER EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THIER LIVES
CUZ ITS NOT LIKE PIRACY IS ABHORRANT TO ANYONE WITH EVEN THE SLIGHTEST SENSE OF DECENCY
CUZ ITS NOT LIKE THERE'S AN OPENLY PRO-PIRACY SCHIZOPHRENIC troony CRACKING DENUVO OR ANYTHING

Black folk it's copypasta, why bother replying? The guy didn't even read your posts before leaving to shit up another thread
because i want to imagine that is real
My zoomer brain yearns for safe confrontation.
>CUZ ITS NOT LIKE INDIE DEVELOPERS HAVE SUFFERED, AND STILL SUFFER EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THIER LIVES
good
List industries that have been ruined by piracy.
>cheap
>25k/month + a dollar for every second install
lmao
Yes? Those companies spend like 100 gorillons of dollars on meme projects like Forspoken. 25k/month is nothing
they removed denuvo from forspoken months ago
diminishing returns
they just need it a couple of months since it's when most people will be interested, especially now with influencers pushing FoTMs

lucky bastard, my firmware is too high for hacks and the scene has been dead for over a year now.

Now this is some sour grapes
Not everyone has shit taste.
Give one (1(一つ)) game which has Denuvo in 2k24 and is worth playing.
Shhh, don't say the truth. It may offend the /vr/ boomers.

Denuvo steals $0.5 per copy you sell. Does piracy really has the same effect?
>Paying for bad PR
Used to be able to get a permanent licence too, hence you will never ever be able to play handball 17
but piracy doesn't hurt sales
I guess Denuvo is there to make clueless investors more confident in the product

OK, I won't be buying a denuvo game regardless
>25k flat +50c per sell through
that's actually very cheap
