Relicanth is one of my top favorites though! It's a chill grandpa fish with a cool brown color scheme based on one of the coolest real world fishes. When megas were first introduced I was really hoping it'd get one that makes it lean more into the placoderm part of its design, but ORAS came and went and SwSh used up the Dunkleosteus concept so that's never happening.
Relicanth's in a strange place. It's a resoundingly meh Pokemon in stats, but you can't really give it a stat buff, a regional form, an evolution or anything different because it being unchanged is literally the entire point of it.

I love Relincanth. It's a cool ancient fish that helps you get the memorable Regis.
What deserves more scrutiny is Salamence. I'd love to jab a frozen dagger straight into its throat.
