Surviv.io is pretty fun for a few hours, but it sucks after a while bc you kinda need to buy the shitty micro transactions to progress, but the first 5-8 hrs are fun, and you can replay the first few levels. It’s essentially a mobile ripoff of vampire survivors if you’re aware of that.

You are missing the point. While there are whales who just spend a lot to not play the game, the beauty of gacha is resource management. They are raising sims where you need to decide when and what to invest into. Most of the better ones also still require some kind of performance if you wanna compete. Whaling only brings you so far.
In other words, Genshin isn't the only gacha out there.
Seems the best games are paid ports. I played The world ends with you and it's a favorite now. Great music.

Anon, it's illegal to make T*tris games without permission of TTC. Every unlicensed game in Play Store was purged some time ago.
Falling Lightblocks is a similar game but apparently it has some alterations that happen to be unpopular with T*tris fans (?), precisely for the reason to avoid getting sued. Didn't save it from getting deleted from the store, tho. Shit's fricked up.

Basically console and pc ports, and just straight up an old console emulator, it's really that fricking bad, everything on phones has become the skinner box casinos, I really want to come back to the humble beginnings when you only had to endure a couple of ads between every match/level.
are there no good offline rpgs or dungeon crawlers out there? the thing that bugs me is that flash games, which mobile games stepped in for, used to be fricking awesome on browsers. now we have phones with desktop-tier performance compared to what flash games ran on, and we're stuck with 5 pixel dungeon games and a bunch of online only shitters? come on man. makes me want to write my own, but i know i never will

Flash games were cool but they built all the bad habits that haunt mobile gaming. They were disposable games, available for free, each more derivative than the last. Now people are expect games to be free-to-play, crappy, as well as full of ads and paywalls, and they tolerate that as if it was obvious. Sloppy creators learned that they don't even have to put effort into anything.
