I really don't remember too much from the games, but I'd imagine it was more a matter of her not having much of a choice in the matter. While obviously Brad was protecting her from the horror of what the world had become and what it could do to her knowing what she was, her entire life was essentially being kept locked up by a drug-addled man that isn't even her father. Add to it, finding out that you're capable of something that could theoretically bring the world back from extinction throws a shit ton of terrifying thoughts into someone's mind, especially a literal child. Even if it's illogical, you'd almost feel guilty in some ways, like you're letting the world die just to be safe and "happy".
Brad was justified, but in a young girl's mind, he was essentially keeping her as a prisoner due to his own emotional needs/drugs use/past trauma, preventing her from having any choice in the matter, and even contributing to this idea of most people just being willing to let the world die for their own needs.
Besides, I doubt Brad was good at communicating anything as to why it was important she stay hidden or why she alone can't save the world. Guy was battling his own demons between his trauma and drug use. Raising a kid and making sure they understand why you do what you do is hard enough for competent, sober adults, much less what Brad was dealing with.

Nope. Dingaling literally said that he hates Buddy and she's his most disliked character in the series, and he didn't even want to do the DLC since he felt Painful wrapped everything up nicely but that it was a kickstarter goal and he had to deliver.
Buddy's just a psychopath raised by a psychopath in a world of fricked up and the overarching themes of LISA is how abuse runs so deeply that it effects people generations down and how Marty abusing Lisa indirectly created a bunch of maniacs (Brad, Buddy, Buzzo, etc).

She had him cut apart animals with a buzzsaw so he’d be prepared to cut her up, since she thought Marty wouldn’t want her anymore if she was ugly, then committed suicide after the mutilation, since Marty still raped her. Buzzo didn’t want to take accountability and admit that he fricked up, and didn’t have the balls to go after Marty, so he went after someone he knew wouldn’t fight back. She also might’ve told him about the incident where Marty forced Brad to rape her.
She called him a good boy once, and since she was a bit older than him and he had mommy issues, it all fell apart from there.
I feel as though lisa's setting kinda fricks the theme of the game. Olanthe is legitimately so dangerous that you constantly get morons trying to kill you for existing. Then you mix in the unpredictable joy mutants and there's no way in hell buddy could be reliably protected.
