The game is likely similar to DOS2 which means 130 hours of game time to beat on average. Most games are released and finished in a day. People are playing the game and basically no one has beat it yet so everyone has a ton to discuss as they continue to play day in and day out. That is why it's still being talked about. This game revealed to me how utterly enslaved by politics many people are.
The game is good, very good. Looking at it objectively, the game is actually incredible in so many ways. Games of this scale and quality are excessively rare; there is objectively no crpg in history that reaches this level of production value and accommodation.
But politics and culture war shit has warped people's minds to such a profound degree that their brains literally will not allow them to see the game for what it is.
Instead of beautiful graphics and art design, their brains can only see gay sex. Instead of a game that accommodates creativity in its design, their brains see trannies. Instead of a game that gives weight and consequences to your choices, their brains see a bear. Instead of phenomenal voice acting and animation, their brains see black people.

Yes we know everything in games and society was better back then, you're right, but this game could have been way worse in that regard. if you just say no the 1 or 2 times you get asked out on a gay date then it takes 20 seconds out of a 100 hour game.

This is the first game that actually advances a genre I've played since like 2004.
