The ticks in the trees that blend in the trees and water are legitimately terrifying. You never feel safe around them and failing to deal with them means more of them leeching onto your face
Let's post some actual criticism of Northern Journey:
I didn't like the way some areas are gated off in stupid ways, like the barrier between Nokkpond and Sourwood being just a slim wooden palisade door on a bridge that can only be crossed by going on an epic quest, because the olympic sprinter MC is afraid of water
If I had to post I criticism I'd say that the game peaks at sourwood and the second half is a bit of a slog.
The bit where it turned into a Serious Sam level was bad.
I didn't like the volcano section or the final boss dragon thing. rest of the game was kino tho
Final level was boring and so was the final boss. Only decent thing about it was the worm turning into a wyrm
I feel like the health system could have been better, it seems weird that there's a bunch of vials that heal you. I'd rather health that heals over time or in certain areas maybe. Also ammo was too plentiful.
