i was gonna say that tmodloader's been behind on updates for a while last i checked (which was a while ago as i haven't played the game in a while admittedly), but i looked it up and apparently it got 1.4.4 support back in july.
I haven't really fricked with mods, can you not get fixes like that from the regular terraria workshop? I figured people would be all over fixing that and the torch biome shit.
It removed content. I'm no longer allowed to identify as a man anymore. It will also likely conflict with my mod that replaces player voices, for the sake of a silly slider.
i can't think of any instances besides slight sprite differences where the game even acknowledges your gender.
also, that mod will probably either still work (if it's just replacing files) or would be broken anyways by it being a new version of the game.

as far as i know, no. the most you can get (at least from the workshop) are texture edits and saved worlds.
