This was one of the very, very few good parts of the game. You deserve to get mocked.
V was the perfect end to MGS, only because it sucked so hard. When you play the old games, you see the caliber of games we will no longer get, thanks to Konami. Better to leave a bad taste than to leave people wanting more.
I can't tell how many of the replies to this are supposed to be ironic or not. The twist is fine but the entire structure surrounding it is abysmal and reeks of kojima running out of budget and dev time.
people will claim that the game is totally finished even though kojima was locked in a room and mgo came out a year after launch
The entire first chapter of the game was prematurely cut released as a demo, he actively chose not to stay at the company like months before the game was even done, he passive aggressively lashed out at the company through a tease trailer demo that was never approved. Got his game cancelled, got banned from going to an awards show, literally had his vidya celebrity friend basically say frick the company that’s barring him from showing up, made a game about someone being emotionally closed off and reconnecting and finding his way again. B-but no you got filtered and the game was supposed to make you play the tutorial again in its entirety, have absolutely no npcs in the open world, talk about a faction that never even appears in the game, have a super empty base that he literally said had to be restructured because he was forced to release the game on outdated consoles, scrap the entire epilogue of the game when it was 60% complete, have his assets flipped and turned into an average survival game, literally say on stage he has no idea what the frick that is but it’s not metal gear to him, and never talk about the series he spent half of his life making. B-but we got filtered and the game was supposed to come out that way
I got bored before that point. Don't get me wrong I think MGSV is one of my favorite games to play only the gameplay alone wasn't enough to make me want to complete it.
