Now that BG3 is out and doing better then the devs ever expected, is it over for Starfield? I imagine after most gamers get their hands on Baldur's Gate, Starfield will feel very lacking and hollow by comparison
>Worse dialogue
>Worse romances
>Worse companions in general
>Likely worse writing and story since it's a Bethesda game and all of their games have a very mid story
Is it over for Starfield?
I would say it's over also for super mario wonder and detective pikachu dlc
BG3 will be forgotten in two weeks. Game is too long, too dense, overwhelming and has 0 replayable value because of all the boring parts. I dread having to play it again because of the trials shar temple.
Starfield is a chill fun game for casuals AND roleplayers. Plus we'll have immersive sim mods and sex mods that will make it even more replayable.
>It's a little weird in multiplayer for sure
It's funny, this kind of reminded me of player's reactions to the fade when Dragon Age Origins came out. I don't think it's a big issue since the temple should be relatively easy to blaze through once you know how to do it, but we'll probably see a mod to skip it if a lot of people share your opinion. Personally I dread going through the underdark again more - that area is pretty boring.
The Temple of Shar really wasn’t that bad. The trial of self was easy, the stealth one was easy too, and the one where you have to remember where you step I just used a scroll of misty step to get all the way to the end.
The fight with all those guys was really hard, but I snuck up on them from behind and used all my potions of speed and arrows of roaring thunder to push them off and into the ground. Then just summoned a bunch of companions like bear, blessed weapon and elemental, also convinced the Necromancer to give me a bell to call in his golemn.
Honestly not too worried about this on future playthroughs. The most challenging part of Act 2 for me was the fight against the Necromancer dude I mentioned earlier, defending the cleric from getting taken alive at the inn, and the Moonrise tower assault. But I don’t plan to be good on a future playthrough so might be able to get around this easily
The same gays that are rushing to gobble up Baldur's wiener 3 weren't going to play Starfield anyway. It's their containment game
why does it have to be a fight? are you not allowed to play and love both?
Zoom zooms on Ganker are not capable of this, it's why console warring is still a thing on here. Oh and on twitter, really makes you think
Snoys can't
These games are different things and I'll play both for different reasons.
It was "over" for Starfield from a shitposting perspective the moment Microsoft bought Bethesda and committed them to gamepass.
i just want to clear out far cry outposts, build a cool spaceship and pretend i'm a firefly character
Yeah i know...sorry heh but im not gonna do it...yeah im not gonna play your nasty ass foul as frick gross troony game...yes i know i know youre gonna call me an incel...
But the truth is normal healthy men find homosexuals literally sickening and heres the proof

Yes yes youre gonna say 'chud' because you have zero creativity with petty insults but yeah im just not gonna do it...im not gonna play your gross nauseating homosexual game.
And yes im sure this means i should 'touch grass' but im also gonna avoid any and all content related to this disgusting shit!
How the frick are you trying to compare a shooter with a turn-based RPG? Different genres, differrent audiences.
been playing bg3 and having a good, looking forward to starfield and will probably also have a good time
Which game is too powerful for the Series S to handle? How come the Steam Deck can play BG3 yet No Man’s 76 is so poorly made it can’t? Doesn’t that mean the Steam Deck is a better console than the Series S, or is Larian just that much better at making games than Bethesda since their spaghetti code is too moronic to function?
dialogue
romances
companions in general
I don't play Bethesda games for that shit. Frick companions, as soon as I got their affinity perks in FO4 I killed them.
>worse dialogue
ah yes, pic related europoors good dialogue
>worse romances
>homosexuals, stick women and angry dykes
nice choices
>worse companions
even if they are shit, they are miles better than those gays from BG3, they make the ones from Wotr writen by dostojevski
>worse writing and story
What the frick kind of resolution is that?
romances
Who cares
>Worse companions in general
>Likely worse writing and story since it's a Bethesda game and all of their games have a very mid story
Why are you acting like Larian has good writing?
Even if you try your hardest to be contrarian, the story in BG3 is miles above anything Bethesda has ever done. Not that that is a high bar
>very mid
>mid
go fricking die in a ditch zoomer trash garbage
Starfield is sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
Stop shilling your failure of a youtube channel, homosexual.
Starfield is a flop, sorry your family will starve and die of dysentery microjeet
It'll be GOTY, sorry not sorry you won't be getting it snoy boy. :^)
>Snoy
I haven't owned a console since 2012, when console gaming died.
yeah your pre built piece of shit rocking a 1060 wont run it either
dialogue
romances
companions in general
massive fricking challenge
Larian doesn't write good dialogue or characters. BG3 story is nothing special besides the coomer stuff.
starfield chads
they are scared
Normies will love Starfield over BG3.
they're completely different games you fricking moron
Bg3's writing is genuinely not good
Considering Bethesda's writing is an absolute barrel bottom of the vidya industry, it's not exaxtly a high bar to pass.
>shit versus shit
who cares, make a thread about a good game for once
>muh romances
These actually become a negative when several butt ugly characters won't stop trying to push every conversation to you penetrating their ass. Or being the penatratee
All fighting for second. Enjoy the success but don't get yourselves too excited.
>don't forget about me! talk about me, please...
>RPG game boasting about its character creation doesn't even have face/body sliders
Bethesda has nothing to worry about. Also modding for that game is dead on arrival just for that.
>800k on steam
>doa
Wdym?
Modding, illiterate-kun.
No problem.
Within the first week, mods will add Space Bear Sex and get Todd's Game 9,000,000 concurrent players.
>Now that BG3 is out and doing better then the devs ever expected, is it over for Starfield? I imagine after most gamers get their hands on Baldur's Gate, Starfield will feel very lacking and hollow by comparison
>Is it over for Starfield?
this board is the only place i see people talking about it.
What feats do I take on my Bard?
Why would it be over for Starfield ? it isn't turn-based and it isn't a fantasy setting. They are two completely different games.
It's a sci-fi open-world action-RPG, which already makes it special and guarantees its success.
Of course the actual RPG parts will be bad, it's Bethesda but nobody cares, most people will buy it for the mods.
