Crossgens should be in like with HGSS.
Regional evos/forms can be available, but only in a way that makes sense like trades and safari zone.

If BDSP is any indication they'll tie the post game Legendary Fire Sale to Safari Zone some how.
My biggest hope is to have chibi overworld models for pokemon rather than using their full model in a chibified overworld like BDSP did.
Also removing the stupid friendship system where pokemon randomly survive on 1hp or heal status conditions because they love you.
Another great thing for HGSS is if they made the level curve a bit better because I always remember a couple jumps on the game that feel really unnatural compared to other games in the series.
Hopefully ILCA makes it because then they'd actually improve Johto.
The exchange where Lyra/Ethan's Grandmother teases them about being a potential couple with the MC will be rewritten, much like how Mars teasing Dawn/Lucas and the MC being lovers was rewritten in BDSP.
