Now that Rogue Trader is out and seems to be enjoyed by the player base, Games Workshop needs to license Warhammer Fantasy for a CRPG adaptation.

dropped
>Warhammer Fantasy
You mean Age of Sigmar?
Pedo frick
nope, he means WHF, GW's licensing policy is intentionally ass backwards, they want vidya for games they no longer produce (eg Total War Warhammer)
>seems to be enjoyed by the player base,
anyone who isn't a slop enjoyer has rightly called it shit
>who is a slop enjoyer
>called it shit
who, when, what, how.
the game is decent but not great.
why?
it was a setting so unpopular it was discontinued, instead of being a unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy it just generic tolkien derivate slop
They just need to adapt WFRP. Everything is already there.
Warhammer fantasy is giga cringe
even more so than 40k
Reminder that warhammer fantasy takes place on a medieval tech level world in the warhammer 40k galaxy and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
I thought it was cannon that it took place in the same universe on earth like 50,000 bc or something?
Why would that be canon? It makes no sense geographically.
No, it's more like it takes place on an alternate history Earth where the diversion point was when these aliens arrive (accidentally carrying ork spores) and set up all their weird magic shit.
Takes place within an active warp storm as well, the great vortex prevents the planet from being hell 24/7
Reminder that Warhammer 40k takes place inside a crystal ball tucked away in a dusty corner in the college of magic in Altdorf.
Those are all simultaneously true in my table.
We need a Malus Darkblade RPG
Someone made that hack'n'slash, but apparently it's worse than 40k Inquisitor one.
Also GW is not doing shit. It's the other way around, people come to GW for their licenses, because they are either fans of their settings or (more often) know that their shovelware wouldn't sell at all if it wasn't attached to some popular IP. And GW is now handing out license to everyone who wants it, which is great to be honest. Stuff like Lotr and Star Wars is harder to get.
We need some sort of sandbox adventure game set in the Warhammer world where you can just wander around the length and bredth having adventures and recruiting various characters from the various interesting races and professions seen around.
Sort of like a more expansive version of Warhammer Quest.
And certainly set in the old canon, as so brought to the attention of the masses by Total Warhammer, not the trash that is AoS.
Warhammer isn't that deep. It's not meant to be explored. It's meant to be a backdrop for armies fighting in a beer and pretzel game.
How is this thread even on topic? This has nothing to do with rpgs.
Is it true that it's unplayable after act 4 (yet again)
It's not literally unplayable, but there are quite a few unfinished quests and missing triggers in act 4 and 5. There are at least 2 parts where you can get permanently locked because the trigger that's supposed to take you to a certain area is missing.
Owlcucks are as stupid as ugly. Idk, don't have anything to play, so I thought I reconsider rt. Can't motivate myself to try it.
Just pirate it and play the early parts to see if you like it, those are at least relatively polished. IF you don't like it you don't lose anything, if you do like it you can buy it next year when they release the inevitable "enhanced edition" (aka the actual complete game).
>Owlkek
>Not waiting for the ultimate directors cut definitiv edition
