you will play the elder kangs and you will enjoy it
Redguard has been out for 2 decades newbie
I'll just mod them out
I still play Skyrim 10 years later and have 400h of playtime (pc only, owned the game on ps3/ps4 too) I love that game
Redguards are one of the coolest races in the setting you homosexual secondary
no they aren't.
Explain why not. I know you won't because you don't know shit about their lore, and I'm not spoonfeeding you either so eat a dick Black person.
Huge part of their lore came from either Kirkbride or another gay working at Bethesda that thought black people colonizing another territory rather than being perpetually oppressed was a cool idea.
I remember the interview where they explained it.
That part predates Kirkbride joining Bethesda, so no. I'm not even sure what Kirkbride meant by that comment because he didn't even write the Redguards' migration to Tamriel. He wrote their cosmology and politics which are cool and unique for the setting.
Black people are cringe as shit and so are the white homosexuals that worship them.
He tried to warn us about letting darkies in.
>not even sure what Kirkbride meant by that
The main point of that comment was:
>overly harmonious, forced representation of every race in Fantasy is cringe and that's why it's cool that this universe's black people are genocidal invaders
Which is why he ended the post by proudly bragging about how he had all the "orientals" of the TES universe eaten by shapeshifting snake demons.
>thought black people colonizing another territory rather than being perpetually oppressed was a cool idea.
And It is. That's the reason you don't have to worry about cringe black victimhood complex in TES unless they do blatant retcons, and you can comfortably mock the fictional lizard and cat people who got the slave status in their stead.
I'd rather have no blacks at all.
I can't wait for thalmor occupiers to execute a redguard NPC named Georgakmed Floydius.
what did todd mean by this?
same thing he meant with nords
The only way to not frick it up would be to restructure the entire Bethesda management. Maybe Microsoft can do this if they care about the reception Starfield got, but so far it seems that Zenimax was much better at tard wrangling (they rejected Todd's Starfield proposal multiple times)
>Zenimax, the guys behind Elder Scrolls Online will bring you guys a good ES6
>implying ESO isn't much more competently made than Starfield
the bar is pretty fricking low here
At least they know what prints money
>still buying betheslop after gay shit like fallout 4 and skyrim
its over bucko time to move on.
I fricking hate Todd. I really hope this wll be good, but the chances are very slim. I bet it's gonna be very woke too.
Likely
TES6 is going to be a live service game.
I feel like Todd is gonna take out his anger on elder scrolls fans
Wasn't Starfield his dream project ?
He's gonna be salty about any other game ppl want to play from Bethesda
>Wasn't Starfield his dream project ?
Yes, but apparently he's been doing too many things at once. It's not like he dropped everything just to work on this one game, so I assume he didn't care about it as much as you're implying - it was just his big idea to make the ultimate game.
TES6 will be live service virtue signaling garbage with a dev team that is 80% Indian
bethesda is done if microsoft doesnt put pressure on them
You mean now that f4, f76, and starfield have flopped
I'm just going to lament the simple fact that we could have had TES6 by now if they didn't prioritize a shitty game first. Now it's too late to have an impact or be good for that matter. We've already lost Soule.
>I'm just going to lament the simple fact that we could have had TES6 by now if they didn't prioritize a shitty game first.
>implying TES6 wouldn't just be Starfield with Elder Scrolls paint
>Daggerfall but you can't walk anywhere even if you tried chugging 1000 bottles of skooma
>instead you can fast travel to one of the 20 proceduraly placed premade dungeons that repeat infinitely many times
>but don't worry, the milquetoast boring writing will make you drop the game before you even notice that
It's blatantly obvious that the people describing Starfield as "Daggerfall in space" have never played Daggerfall. Starfield is so, SO much worse in every single aspect that it's not even funny.
This can all be blamed on Todd and Emil. I watched a number of interviews the past week or so and they were both totally bought into it and were the ones to pitch it. Todd wanted Starfield, and for fricks sake he got it. I hope he's happy.
>No Jeremy Soule
>No Soule
>No soul
ngmi
Reminder todd said starfield took resources from TES for almost a decade
I mean we know that simply because that's just how game development goes. If they prematurely throw ungodly amounts of money into ES6, rush it, and work their employees to the bone, it's still at LEAST 5 years away. But almost certainly quite a few years beyond that, probably closer to 7 years away.
It will be the same as Starfield, incorporating all it's new mechanics etc however this time you lot will harp on about how much sovl it has like the sheeples you are.
>TES6
We're never seeing that shit until 2030.
Not with Todd pulling back all the people to Starfield because ungrateful players can't appreciate his magnum opus without demanding an overhaul of the current gameplay systems.
>it flopped because my eceleberino said so okay??? dont question it!! it just did okay???!!!
Try patricianTVs short review.
I just listened to the long ass 8 hour Starfield one the other day, pretty decent. I tried listening to the Skyrim one today but I couldn't do it. I just find those types of videos to generally be too nit picky for my taste.
The only way it's gonna be good if they scrap everything (so the trailer and 5 sentences emil pecked out one letter at a time in some word document) and make TES 6: Landfall
What's landfall?
It's when the Thalmor win, Numidium comes back and destroys Nirn, anyone that's still left and able to escapes to the moon
>TESVI : Kenshi
>in some word document
You're giving him more credit than he deserves.
Reminder it took them 2 months to implement DLSS, which took just few hours for modders to implement.
They're going to sanitise the redguards so much:
1.Their homeland got sank because they waged war with the left handed elves.
2.They wiped out all the natives in Hammerfell.
3.They hate orcs.
4.They hate the Aldmeri Dominion.
5.They're arabic/bedouin influenced.
They're deffo gonna americanise/Black person them up.
redguards are unambiguously black and their religion is inspired by west african vodun
>unambiguously black
How? None of their architecture, names, armour, weapons resemble sub-saharan Africa.
>religion
Well one good is called hoon ding.
kirkbride LITERALLY based his redguard lore writings on african-american black supremacist groups. he admitted he based his vision of redguards on the black panthers and hypothetical "black colonialism", this is why redguards are so advanced and well-off as a civilizatiom
>names
redguard names range from americanized african slave names such as ernest, garry, jim and neville, to ghetto black names such as alonzo, amir, trayvond and haekwon. this no accident
aside from those infuences, their names include japanese names and completely made up fantasy names with no clear influences. the arabic names only started in skyrim and elder scrolls o***ne which are barely canon
>african-american black supremacist groups
So? Cleopatra and Hannibal Barca are black apparently, just because people write about shit doesn't make it true. Redguards aren't sub saharan african blacks all they've got is the religion aspect and names.
Again, names and religion are the only Black African aspects they have. Their naval heritage as well Black Africans have none.
>Redguards aren't sub saharan african blacks all they've got is the religion aspect and names.
They look like african americans lol.
>Their naval heritage as well Black Africans have none.
It's taken from colonial European, since africans crewed sometimes and got into piracy. The lore presumes they are captains and shiprights
>They look like african americans lol.
yes they do look like one, but they are actually arabs in TES universe, orcs are the real Blacks since they dont have any real achievemenet in TES universe
>africans crewed sometimes and got into piracy
well, yeah Berbers technically African but they are different from sub-sahara African
>orcs are the real Blacks since they dont have any real achievemenet in TES universe
I wouldn't go that far. They managed to successfully convert themselves from a common enemy type to an established playable race in the setting. Not to mention having their capital sunk numerous times since its founding only to build it back up again. Compared to races like the Sload, Dreugh, Foxgays, Birdmen, men of Akavir, Left handed Elves and the Centaurs they are doing pretty good all things considered.
>but they are actually arabs
Because of two aspects of theirs that literally did not even exist until relatively recently?
>orcs are the real Blacks since they dont have any real achievemenet in TES universe
Way to show you really don't know a lot about TES. Orcs are the best metallurgists in Tamriel, their weapons and armor are canonically sought after by nobles and mercenaries from all across the continent, they conquered their right to be people through dutiful service to the Empire, and they always manage to bring Orsinium back no matter how many times they get destroyed by Bretons and Redguards. There are no "Blacks" (by your definition of the word) in TES, every race has some major quality.
>since they dont have any real achievemenet in TES universe
Orcs have more relevant historical figures and events than Argonians. As do non-playable races like the Imga, Sload and Minotaurs.
>forgetting the argonians raped the daedra during the oblivion crisis
The Hist did that, the Argonians were just the tools they used to do it. Giving credit to the Argonians is like giving credit CoC's sword for protecting Martin and ending the Oblivion Crisis.
But on the flip side if the Hist didn't have the Argonians they wouldn't have been able to fight back in the first place. At least as far as we know. The two are intrinsically linked. I don't think it's a stretch to say the Argonians fought the daedra back.
There's no Hist without Argonians. Argonians were created by the Hist.
I think Todd will make them Arabise them further in TES6 and nignore the previous black Caribbean inspirations which may look jarring.
You are literally pic related
but unironic
>Their naval heritage as well Black Africans have none.
read
one more time. the idea behind redguards was combining african culture with western colonialism, hence the strong naval presence
>architecture
You win this one
>names
Before Skyrim gave them all silly arab names and ESO doubled down (a lot), they used to have anglo names, including shit like Trayvond. The implication was that they were not only supposed to be subsaharan African, but also straight up african-american/caribbean. Their gods also all have clearly african and Vodun inspired names. "Tall Papa" and "Tu'Whacca" isn't exactly something you'd expect from arabs. The implication is that ancient Yokudans were more African-like before the Redguards assimilated a lot of tamrielic culture by adopting Imperial and Breton customs.
>armour, weapons
Same thing with the names. Pre-Skyrim Redguards were supposed to be heavily Bretonized and Imperialized. They had very little african things about them in terms of clothing and armor, but they had about as much arab shit. With the exception of religious fanatics and desert tribes, Redguards were said to just dress like medieval/roman people and used clearly european-inspired sabers before Skyrim gave them moronic-looking cartoon scimitars.
TL;DR: Redguards were objectively much more african/caribbean-inspired before TES V. TES VI making them more we wuzzery would actually be a return to their original portrayal, not a woke retcon.
>Skyrim gave them all silly arab names and ESO doubled down (a lot)
And the most recent TES game, the shitty mobile Fallout Shelter rip-off, triples down on It. That being said, there is OBJECTIVELY a much higher chance of the Redguards becoming even more arabized in TES VI than the other way around, judging by the fact that all the new blood at bethesda and zenimax are skyrimbabs who grew believing the kind of shit that pic related parodies
I'd be fine with wakanda Redguards, what I fear it's gonna happen with TES6 is "we wuz nords/atmorans n' shiet"
>armour
There's this old concept art that's supposed to depict a Redguard knight. His attire looks pretty african to me.
you should've learned your lesson by Oblivion
I liked Starfield initially, but after seeing how pozzed and lazy the game was, I have now lost all hope for TES6.
Used to love Bethesda, but they're now in the verge of joining Blizzard in the hall of shame.
I enjoyed it initially too. I think that's the case for a lot of people. But the minute you put a number of hours into it, it's issues start to be glaring. Frankly I just found it boring, really boring. And that style of game is something I'd usually enjoy. I like vast open spaces, I enjoy atmosphere, I like the grind, I mean frick I enjoy Ubisoft games. Starfield does not a single thing good, it's either fine, or flat bad.
>And that style of game is something I'd usually enjoy. I like vast open spaces, I enjoy atmosphere, I like the grind, I mean frick I enjoy Ubisoft games.
You could be me, lol.
I put 300h in AC Odyssey, I just really love grindind and a completionist-style gameplay. Now I'm dropping Ubishit forever due to "we wuz samurai n' shit".
But yeah, I feel the same about Starfield. Extremely boring and shallow after some hours.
It was the second biggest disappointment in Bethesda for me, after TESO.
I hated TESO on release, I then went back a few years after launch and still disliked it. But a couple years ago I give it another go, but this time played it as a single player title, instead of an MMO, and actually got a few months of enjoyment out of it. It's a HORRIBLE MMO, but a half decent single player title. You have to put on some pretty large blinders though.
Bethesda died with Starfield.
It's over.
Bethesda died when Todd took over. Every game he was in charge of is horrible.
I have -100 hope for any Bethesda game
lol starfield is getting support for years, tes6 is coming out 2029
Todd has nothing to do with it. The head writer for Bethesda is an absolute muppet and as long as he's around, all Bethesda games will be boring slop. I'm pretty sure he'll be head writer for TES6 too.
Starfield has a lot more wrong with it than just the narrative direction.
Sure, but if it wasn't boring slop at least it would have some redeeming qualities instead of none. That makes a difference.
you should have been scared when you saw oblivion, friend
homies really think bethesda can make a good game still after seeing oblivion and skyrim
Oblivion wasn't that bad, it had some good parts to it. The real killer was Fallout 3. I never wanted to play another Bethesda game after that one.
Both Oblivion and Skyrim are fine games, Skyrim especially is lauded by the entire gaming industry and players alike. I don't know why people on Ganker like to pretend it's a bad game. They may have preferred Morrowind, but that doesn't make Skyrim bad.
>it had some good parts to it.
For example?
It's dated as frick, and everything shit from Starfield quest design can be already traced back to it. Let's take for example the Fingers of the Mountain quest, the one you get in the Chorrol Mages Guild.
>The lizard asks you to get rid of the edgy mage woman from in front of the Guild
You can't get the quest from her, you have to talk to the lizard and then she magically decides she can trust you. Can't just kill her as she's essential.
>She says that she needs a book
You can't just go get the book, as it only magically appears after you tell the lizard everything she is planning to do.
>Now you either give the book to the lizard or the woman
Here you have to tell the lizard you gave the book to her anyway. Can't lie, can't just wait until she is done with it and bring it back to him so he doesn't know anything. Oh, can you can't fail the quest because you need the recommendation, because we don't want to lock out the player out of anything, or make some alternative way to progress in the Guild.
It's shit, the only way to enjoy it is to brainlessly follow the quest markers and never use your brain.
20% of us will be dead by the time it releases
Hopefully Todd will be dead too
>no more Soule
Literally Souless
Expect many on the nose black power moments.
>He still thinks it's going to be made
Bro Starfailed was their last chance. Microsoft is for sure gonna shut down BGS now
>M$ takes Todd and co. out the back
>Fallout and TES are relegated to the live service mines until they are more cash shop than vidya
>Please don't frick it up Todd
>Game was written, features were planned before Starfield was released
>Meaning TES6 wont consider feedback or ciriticism Starfield got
>Also the game will look extremely outdated
There is no way they wont frick this up untill they completely restart the whole pre-production cycle. TES6 will be procedurally generated piece of shit.
All that exists is a brown UE 5 mock up to tease shareholders. I bet they made very little progress and are now panicking that Starfield won't be a 10 year plan let alone a 5 year one
Starfield won't fulfill a 2 year plan. I bought the fricking collector's edition and I don't even want to see what Shattered Space is. I just want them to frick off and die.
Why the frick did you do that after this anon
There weren't even sweet little lies, it just looked boring
I wanted to play 5 days before the plebs
Hope you learned your lesson.
why would they be panicking? starfield boosted gamepass and broke records for their service. they also said they are committed to 1 or 2 years, not 10 years. i doubt TES6 is starting full time development any time soon either way.
TES VI started pre-production a couple months ago
>>Game was written, features were planned before Starfield was released
LOL
Lmao even
you and everyone else will preorder it anyway
I wont
Ill pirate it if its good
If public opinion doesn't turn on Starfield after the DLCs I think there's a good chance Bethesda will rush the development of TES to put out a 'winner' before 2030, which will probably mean a 3 year dev cycle and lots of underdeveloped, poorly realized content and mechanics.
It's far more likely that Microsoft tells the other studios to take a crack at it while BGS picks up the pieces
I could see them letting another studio take a crack at Fallout or some other secondary IP, but I think Bethesda put a solid steel chastity belt on TES. Of course M$ can always find a way to get around it but I think Beth would really fight them on giving up control on TES. If there is a 'real' non-Bethesda TES title before 2030 I would imagine it would be another small spin-off like Redguard.
There is no way Bethesda would EVER let another studio take on an Elder Scrolls title. Bethesda IS Elder Scrolls. If another studio did make an Elder Scrolls game, and it ended up being good, Microsoft would shutter Bethesda the very next month.
Todd's not in any position to ask for anything
I'm sure they have clauses on clauses on clauses in their contracts about how much control Beth has over their IPs. Bethesda knows TES is the backbone of their image, there's no way they would agree to be bought if it meant they would risk giving up control of it.
It's going to be a loser too
Slopfield is soulless because BGS is creatively bankrupt and can't develop an interesting world to save their lives. Even the Elder Scrolls legacy can't save them, they're going to find a way to ruin it with the blandest safest most boring story, characters and world imaginable
Starfield marks the death of Bethesda
https://youtube.com/shorts/ern_VeFa8BA?si=aIMWf56wuKCKmjC9
I have no faith in Bethesda now. Microsoft needs to get better management over their studios.
Entire continent of Blacks instead mountain saamis like in lore.
I saw a review of starfield from a guy who seemed to be really be trying to be open minded and forgiving and he still went "it's very meh and boring in many places, sad".
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE GAME IS BAD THE ECELEBERINO SAID SO IT JUST ISSSSSSSSSSSS
If anything, Starfield bombing can only be good for TES VI.
Bethesda needs to hire more frickers so that they can actually make a AAA game instead of sprucing up and old game in an older engine with slightly better graphics, rip out even more character build customization, and then slap a full price tag on it while waiting for modders to do their job for them.
I don't think Todd realized there was a shit game line where modders would collectively say "Frick you".
They're not going to fricking do anything, until Pagliarulo is gone or dead nothing changes, they can't solve any lack of talent.
TES VI: Hammerfell
>concept art of huge magnificent city towering over the landscape
>in game it's just a few huts
>single road with like 4 shops you can enter
>massive buildings you can't reach, shooting up behind all the little shops lining the road
All because Todd watched some blockbuster with huts in them halfway through development...
It’s like that Gildergreen quest, they seem obsessed with playing the same save file forever, hence all this radiant garbage, whereas Morrowind understood replayability comes from restarting the game
They could have made the New Game+ work if they actually changed anything between universes except their unlikeable redditor butthole Constellation characters
how much more lazy can they get?
>only four playable races, human, orc, cat and lizard
>elf unlocked by beating the main quest
>start game with immortal companion
>you can't die, only get downed and your companion will always revive you
>simplified skill tree, melee, ranged, magic and stealth
>all caves and dungeons are randomly generated
>no horses or mounts at release, please understand
>>all caves and dungeons are randomly generated
It turns out they're completely fricking incapable of doing this on any level
>I'm scared for TES6
homie you have every fricking warning available to you, why the frick are you clinging to hope for any Bethsoft title? Buy it two years later on a deep sale and wake the frick up. It's not gonna be good. Bethsoft doesn't do "good," they do "good enough."
> Please hate a thing as much as I do.
No can do Snoyboi.
>misconstrues recognizing an obvious pattern of phoned-in development for hate
Buy his game, I don't give a frick. It doesn't make you any less moronic though, which is the part you're not going to remember.
With Kuhlman and Shen gome the writing should improve.
That being said Microsoft is most likely going to insist it be set in Hammerfell so that won't matter.
Unless Emil is fired or barred from working on it, it's DOA.
Will we see all the khajiit variants and their lust for human wiener?
The main Bethesda Studio fricking hates that lore and was definetly slowly phasing It out until ESO and Legends suddenly decided to depict the multiple khajiit forms regularly
So unless Todd cares about consistency with the MMO and the card game, I think it's quite unlikely
>So unless Todd cares about consistency
Its joever, lets hope we'll at least have human male on khajiit secxo
It won't be coming to PS5 so you gays will hate it regardless 🙂
