Pops had character. He was also far more relatable as a parent. The Final Fantasy clone they replaced him with was boring and generic. Which just made all the endless fricking endings dull and uninspired. We've all seen the same shit in countless games. Pops was unique. But whatever, enjoy your generic jRPG demake with extra bloom.
