None of them were good, the best cinematic movie game is XIII by a country mile
Blessed XIII enjoyer.
never played them but no
2 is still be best one. 1 aged like shit, 3 was disappointing, the vita game is utter garbage, and 4 was decent at best. Never played Lost legacy so I have no opinion on that
Lost Legacy is really good as far as game design, I didn't really listen to the story. It's a shame this board writes it off as muh female empowerment
I am still angry about the 10 minute long That's What She Said joke they did in Golden Abyss over a decade later
what
LL had the best villain
>best villain
>not lazarevic
My thoughts exactly.
Uncharted 2 is peak moviegame.
No, they were baaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
1 and 2 are decent shooters.
Sure they were good, but every Western AAA company tried to be like them because they're visionless hacks. How many fricking games have that brainless climbing?
2 and 3 are good. They're perfect games to rent, spend one good weekend playing them and go "well that was a good game" when you beat them. Then you move on with your life. Spiderman is another good example. It's not something I will ever replay or give them further praise, but they're not objectively bad games.
Oh so like every Kumazaki era Kirby game?
No, I actually got shocked by how bad these games were, I literally bought a PS4 to play them and it was horrible, never trusting snoygays ever again
>games
We almost need a new word for these "movie games". They are fine enough "experiences", but I wouldn't call them good "games" because there's so little "game" to them
>there's little game
Why do you talk out of your ass? You still have to shoot and kill enemies, its not walking simulator.
the gameplay is shallow, extremely limited and mostly automated, shooting is trash, movement is trash, melee is trash, they're nothing games entirely carried by the fact they ape indiana jones movies so hard
>the gameplay is shallow, extremely limited and mostly automated
Not that guy but you're a buzzword spouting b***h
2 had one of the greatest multiplayers of all time but I bet your homosexual ass never played it
They're fun to play and very challenging on Brutal mode where every enemy one shots you. The games looked good for their time on shitty consoles and the characters were fun and endearing. UC was the first franchise to start the movie bullshit in earnest in vidya so I give them slack for the linearity and action set pieces.
Still waiting on the young Sully UC
Half-Life was.
Half-Life never took you out of the action. Even when characters talk you can still move, jump around, or even shoot them. No stopping to watch a cutscene. The interactions were always brief as well.
DO NOT REDEEM THE TREASURE, b***h!
Partially saved the PS3, sparked Nolan North's VA career, and made Drake one of the faces of the PS3.
Too bad Druckmann had to ruin 4 with his no-fun-allowed attitude.
I love 4, the whole pirate treasure hunt is the most fun in the series
the gameplay was fricking ass in all of them
the only good thing was the variety of settings and set pieces
Personally I really like them they scratch the Indiana Jones/James Bond itch, they're a lot better than the Tomb Raider reboot
The second one is okay. Don't know about the fourth, but the first and second games are pretty shit from what I remember.
First and third, rather.
Yeah, they are good if you are into exactly that. But 4 games of this shit is too much. My favorite was 2 but I will never ever replay that.
Honestly I hate these fricking games and it surprises me because I have played through a metric ton of 7th gen console shooters and generally found most of them to be bearable if not enjoyable. Uncharted is just the absolute epitome of moronic games for casual shitheads and I hate it in an almost visceral way. Let's use Uncharted 2 as an example because it's widely considered the BEST
>Starts with a section of OMG SO CLIMATIC climbing where you only have one way to go, there is no real consequence for going slow and scripted stuff keeps happening because OMG U COULD DIE at any second even though there is 0 real danger
>Drake triumphantly emerges from the interactive cutscene and then begins shooting generic npc badguys with a gun he conveniently finds lying around even though he's in a nogunz country
>During this PULSE POUNDING shoot-out it becomes apparent that we're dealing with a 2 weapons at a time 3rd person cover shooter with regenerating health (OH how BOLD of you Naughty Dog)
>The entirety of the game is just repeating this shit for around 13 levels. Drake has to skilfully climb various obstacles (while the fat player keeps the analogue stick pressed in one direction) and engage in gun battles that use the most generic weapons against an embarrassingly small variety of enemies
>Oh but there are also occasionally quick time events where you mass a button (sometimes multiple!) to not die
>And there's that one arbitrary mandatory stealth mission about halfway through that is implemented with the skill and grace that these mandatory stealth sections always are
>But that's OK because we're carried through the whole experience by a boring cast of cardboard cutouts and an obligatory love interest that sounds like she chain smoked a cartoon of cigarettes per day
>Finally after many thrilling encounters against like... 5 enemy types with a handful of generic guns we reach a climatic boss fight that was so shit 99% of players forget it even existed
Frick these games
>Starts with a section of OMG SO CLIMATIC climbing where you only have one way to go, there is no real consequence for going slow and scripted stuff keeps happening because OMG U COULD DIE at any second even though there is 0 real danger
Plenty of games do this shit
>not good ones
Half-Life series has tons of fake danger moments.
>um Half-Life is not good, only Doom is good because there is no dialogue only gameplay sweaty, actually half-life is also a movie game!
have a nice day
>Drake triumphantly emerges from the interactive cutscene and then begins shooting generic NPC badguys with a gun he conveniently finds lying around even though he's in a nogunz country
moronic >le plot hole cinema sins tier comment, not reading the rest, embarrassing, do better
You literally have to turn your brain off to enjoy these games. Like Marvel movies.
If you take them apart like that, they are garbage, I agree.
you can nitpick any game to death if you're autistic enough, it's why Ganker hates everything
They where good on PS4 but not on PS3. Like a 7/10 Good
I cannot understand how people think these games have good stories with good characters. Shit gets repetitive.
3 was the only good one because it had blue shading and good shooting.
Good games, better multiplayers
RIP in Peace my beloveds, those fun years will never come back
I miss fat drake
He was a big guy
they are fricking kino
4 was good but that black b***h was annoying
:'( multiplayer brehs...
zomg they predicted putler
4's apparently on its last legs
Haven't played in a couple years but I hear it's pretty barren now
I'll miss the rope
I liked them. I liked Nathan
Why didn't they port them to PC, bros? PS4 version is great, but it would be nice to have them at even higher framerates and 4K res.
sony doesn't want to port anything older than late PS4 era because they want to be known for visually impressive high tech games, more than games that are fun or memorable or whatever
they were also dense in prerendered cutscenes that would probably be tricky to switch to realtime, and which would look bad on most configurations if they were left as is
Why is Sony like this? What's wrong with good games?
GTAV became one of the best selling games of all time and everyone is chasing its success. no more small budget, short development cycle, niche target audience games. everything takes millions of dollars, several years, and has to appeal to the widest audience possible.
because it works for them
