Online you will find a large portion of players who do not feel like learning Perfect Parry timing in an online setting even when they're at the top. If Honda got patched to make Headbutt minus, even if he got multiple other buffs, he'd instantly fall off in Ranked.

between that and buttslam you can get very far against anyone who hasn't actually practiced against honda
a shit player abusing headbutt and buttslam can make it to diamond and a moderate player slightly optimising his tools can make it to master
if you learn how to deal with those moves he becomes far less troublesome to deal with, hondas don't know what to do when you show them they can't just abuse headbutt and buttslam repeatedly

That's the other way around for me, I had to reach D4 to sometimesplay against people that have common sense. The ladder system is pure trash in this game and WAY too forgiving.

Good but Capcom really needs to stop and think about universal mechanics. Drive Rush is another Red Focus situation where certain characters with fast dashes and already good pokes have S++ Drive Rush attacks while characters with innately slower dashes have worse Drive Rush Attacks. Much like Red Focus Cancel made certain characters like Evil Ryu and Yun stronger because they already have some of the best Focus Attacks in the game while characters like Honda or Sagat didn't get shit from Red Focus Cancel because their Focus Attacks had zero range.
Awesome game, but admittedly the drive system could use some cost changes to balance it better and encourage more neutral play than now. Overall, it's one of the best launches they've had in a while.
First 2 months were fun, now every single character is annoying to fight, has stupid gimmicks, DI and DR are both frustrating mechanics that don't feel satisfying to use

World Tour was a fun distraction to drive interest during the game's release, but I don't think it's helping at all for the game's longevity. I think the game's worse off for having avatar dress-up as the main rewards focus. I don't care about these battle pass events. I want characters and costumes I can use in the actual fighting game.

AKI is a blatant admission that the team likes FANG but knows he was hated so they just did a redo with breasts. Akuma being DLC bait is predictable and only pushes back Sagat further.

I liked how in V Honda was more about Hands than Headbutt, in 6 they gave him even more stuff for Hands but they're just not as good as +0 headbutt. But like any fun character in V, they're stuck in SFV. I swear if Gill is stuck in SFV forever I'm gonna be so butthurt.
I really enjoy the game but I wouldn't say all of that is incredible. The lighting engine is poor and the every music track is a coin flip in terms of if it will be good or not. Balancing like any new game is not perfect, there's no blatant outliers but there's a clear divide in the roster.

Don't get me wrong the game isn't as braindead as this all the time, but these moments seriously make the game an unfun slog, even if you win in these scenarios the game just isn't satisfying to play. They need to make drive impact 1.5 bars at least, getting 40-60% combos off of a 1/6 bar resource is insane. Same goes for drive rush, that shit should not cost 1 bar in neutral
It's aight. Getting a bit tired of characters who get to have throw loops without any resource spendage. I think I'll keep playing until Tekken8 releases.

You need drinks to actually use him but any player worth a damn will do anything to stop one from using them, and without drinks Jamie is essentially helpless

I think Jamie's game is fun. I do wish he could keep atleast 1 drink between rounds though. And his jumping heavy kick is inconsistent as frick.
Fun, smooth learning curve and well balanced as of now. I'm happy with the outcome. Wish I had a stickless pad though (maining guile)
