Ironically this is why I've never checked the game out, never even looked at the Steam page to see the gameplay. They bought a banner ad on the Steam store page, I saw the black guy, and that was it. Nope. Not for me! No thank you! Good luck!

There's literally nothing to do after you complete the main story. The best fish always spawns in the same location and can be farmed with tranq rifles. The best dish can be spammed just by growing cucumbers. All the depth the game pretends to have is totally artificial.
Adding onto this: The game needed more random generation and the restaurant menu should require variety. If you use the same stuff over and over it should be less effective.
I put 40 hours into this game yet still feel robbed, I didn't realize how shallow it was until the very end.

the core stuff (diving, spear fishing, Sushi Restraint) is fine but they tack on so much extra shit it's not even funny.
Of all the side shit that is added, the only one I like is the Fish Farm because it requires very little player input and it benefits the Sushi Restraint
Been playing it since EA. It's a neat little game but I wish the whole 'fishing and making sushi' thing were more fleshed out
the dev team decided to add every stupid idea they thought of to this game and it bogs everything down.

We don't need that vehicle section
We don't need Tamagachi
Its strange, it feels like the game keeps adding more things but none of them really add to the main experience
Even stuff like farming and 'breeding' barely adds anything to the actual dive then restaurant gameplay
the only good thing about the breeding is free fish which is good for some annoying frickers or if you have a really good dish, like the Pufferfish + Onions Sauce + Agar dish

It's sorta like cult of the lamb where the sim/builder stuff is nowhere near as fleshed out as it ought to be and the main action gameplay gets monotonous after a while. Gets worse the longer it goes on
