      >Diamond spear with desperate strength
      >62 base atk
Idk what all the buffs do. I assume desperate strength doubles attack at 1 heart so it should do at least 124 atk. That still shouldn't be enough to kill him that fast.

This clip is using a glitch which allows Link to equip multiple weapons at once and have stacked damage from all of them

this is a speed run to glitch multiple weapons into links hand, making it so hes attacking with like 10+ weapons,

kinda stupid to incite that this is the normal when literally 0 people playing the game causual would ever experience something like this, even min maxing

        >Tendies damage controlling kek.

he's using a glitch to get multiple weapons stacked

        [...]
Are we sure about that? He's using a legit 124 damage spear thanks to desperate strength, the amount of damage he's doing might be right. If you fight Ganondorf with the mastersword with no fusion he seems to go down after about 8 flurry rushes. I assume that's 60 damage. So at worst the spear is doing around 200 damage. Regardless, he dies too fast with the kind of tools you have, which makes the silly life bar thing not that cool.

he's not even using attack up anon. ganon won't go down to one flurry rush with just 120 damage

Not even Majora goes down that fast with Fierce Deity on, does it?

I would probably put it above Wind Waker but below Twilight Princess. Ocarina of Time fight still being the peak because of theming and legacy.

Yes. You said yourself that it should take around 8 rushes with a 60 weapon. I can attest to that as well. Double the attack and it should be 4. But in the webm he literally kills him in one rush.

Wait you could do that? I just took the damage everytime since it was literally impossible to avoid.

When did the game ever teach you to do that move?

          Anonymous

The game never tells you that you can do it, but they probably just expected people to try since:
          1) dead man's volley is in tons of other Zelda games
          2) the intro shows the Master Sword shattering when Link tries to deflect the gloom, and the whole point of Zelda keeping it nestled in her giant forehead for hundreds of years was to power it up so that wouldn't happen again

          Anonymous

You can run between the explosions and then hop to dodge the shots. Didn't realize you could reflect them that's awesome.

I got hit by it a couple times, realized that Nintendo would not program in a move that was impossible to avoid, and tried to slash at it. Are you moronic?

          Anonymous

you can only do it with the master sword however, if you try to reflect the projectiles back with any other weapon it breaks instantly

I thought in concept it was cool (one-on-one fight against a character with the same skills you have) but it was disappointing in execution. He doesn't really have anything drastically different from Phantom Ganon who the player has fought probably 2 or 3 time before at this point.

      >I thought in concept it was cool (one-on-one fight against a character with the same skills you have)
They already did that in TP. And they did it again with Demise in SS.

        Anonymous

TP Ganondorf and Demise have incredibly limited move pools. TP Ganondorf is barely even a boss battle, all he does is walk towards you slowly and deliver a slow combo. Demise being able to do a skyward strike isn't the same thing as what TotK does

      >who the player has fought probably 2 or 3 time before at this point.
More like 11 or 12 times.

The Zelda team is simply not good at combat.
They desperately need to consult other devs rather than pretending that this trash is acceptable.

And then we have the shitstorm that is FF16 turning into DMC. Combat might be part of it but I think the majority of the intent was adventure while the combat just had to be serviceable

How did you manage to miss him dodging and flurry rushing you and his attacks that permanently break your hearts rather than just glooming them?

        Anonymous

He didn't play the game anon so it was very easy to miss

        Anonymous

He sometimes dodged in the first phase, he just does it more now. Is this supposed to be impressive?

        >permanently break your hearts
doesn't matter. If anything it's easier. I fought him with 1 heart and he'd outright kill me in the first phase. In the second phase it just removes a heart without killing me so my already gloomed hearts act as extra health.

          Anonymous

He never dodges in the first phase, first phase is literally just Phantom Ganon.
          >is this supposed to be impressive?
Yes, it is. Its actually jaw dropping for the final boss to suddenly start using your moves against you like that.
          >its actually easier
The whole fight is piss easy, but difficulty isn't what makes it impactful. Its how Ganondorf is breaking the rules of the game that makes it stand out.

I don't get why you would even play the game to the end in the first place if your goal was to be jaded and not enjoy any of it for what it is.

Top 3 for me. The battle against a horde of mobs with the Sages before fighting him was pure kino. Would've been fun to add more mobs in that section, but they probably would've tanked the FPS even more on the Switch.
Then fighting ganon where he actually uses Link's moves and taking out your hearts is just awesome.

  6. 12 months ago

One of the best. 2nd phase is absolute kino.

Fighting a reskinned version of an enemy you’ve fought ten times, with one of the most generic voice actors, with one of his most uninspired boss themes, is not kino. It’s actually gay.

        >health bar refills and overflows all the way to the very right edge of your screen
        >dodges your attacks and flurry rushes you
        >permanently shatters your hearts with certain attacks
It is the definition of kino.
        Cope and seethe, gay

It was alright. Him permanently destroying your hearts when he hits you gave it a kind of (false) urgency, if I didnt know it was a nintendo game aimed at children then I would've felt a little stressed about it but the game is obviously balanced to where its very unlikely he will actually manage to kill you despite you not being allowed to heal.

Getting bullet timed by Ganondorf and also his health bar replenishing and stretching across the whole screen was cool as frick. It was a pretty cool spectacle, even if the fight wasn't difficult.

TP Ganondorf is carried ENTIRELY by presentation. It's mechanically really basic. ToTK has the same problem, except its presentation is overall way worse because Ganondorf somehow has no real presence in ToTK.

TP should be in C tier, WW should be in A tier. I like TP Dorf a lot, but it's not exactly a riveting set of battles.

WW Dorf is literally parry to win.

    >OoT Dorf
Tennis match. Doesn't even move just floats on his little square
    >WW Dorf
Cinematic movie fight, hit the cool button to awesome and just follow directions. At least the setting is cool
    >TP Dorf
Slower and weaker than WW dorf. A perfect amalgation of all of TP's problems
    >TotK Dorf
Uses all the same weapons as you, will counted your doppelganger, breaks the HP limit for bosses requires your full party to hold off his phantom doppelgangers, permanently destroys your max heart count with his attacks

He's genuinely miles better than the other Dorf battles and the only years of souls super bosses are the reason you can't see it.

Yes but OoT follows up the fight with Ganon which is better than all the other Dorf fights combined (unless you cheese it with Biggoron)

I really think both BotW and TotK should have had a bonus hard mode version of Ganon if you have all the shrines done or something. Similar to how the Megaman Battle Network games let you fight a harder version of the final boss after you get 100% completion in the postgame

Totk dorf has less moves than a lynel from 5 years ago. The dragon was jank as frick and could not hurt a fly as it moves 1 mph. I think I preferred wind wakers final sequence.

It was the best 1v1 ganondorf sword fight.
ALBW still is my favorite overall since it's very thematically smooth, has an actually challenging, fast-paced fight, and has literally the perfect ending of any Zelda game.
