Ragnarok Online no longer exists in the form you remember, the closest thing we've got is Tree of Savior and that's dead as hell too thanks to Lost Ark.
Hate when I see MMO threads all the time and nobody ever brings up Toram Online. It's seriously good, has the best combat system I've seen in a long time and the music comes close to something you'd hear in a Falcom game.
Give it another two years or so and Lost Ark will be dead
Nah I don't think so. Lost Ark's core gameplay is actually pretty good. It's P2W as frick but it's the first competently made KMMO we've gotten in decades. I think it'll continue to have a strong core fanbase going forward and WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE
>Lost Ark's core gameplay is actually pretty good
I haven't played it myself but I heard a big criticism of people saying you can't enjoy raids after some time passed since they released because players with the best gear would just melt the bosses down in seconds.
>what the hell happened here
They banned over 2/3 of their active players for botting and duping LOL nice mmo you got there when everyone would rather cheat than actually p(L)ay it
installed this and am trying it out, what am i in for? the only MMOs i've dabbled in are SMT imagine and PSO2 so i still need something to sink hours into
Do you like PS2-era comfy graphics? Do you like an MMO with a good OST? Do you like dozens of different ways to build your class? You'll probably like Toram Online. I really wanted to get a general going and I've tried twice before but it never caught on. It's pretty underrated. >SMT Imagine
RIP ReImagine. Me and some other anons played on that private server and got pretty far into it. Played it a little over a year then they had to shut down the server over the fear of being sued by Atlus.
yeah, i was playing on reimagine as well, haha. i haven't really been motivated to check out new order either due to the lack of a full translation, i'd love to see the game be made available in english again some day but that's just wishful thinking

Man what? I kept waiting for it to actually come out, there was just months and months of no news on it, last I heard it had some closed testing round, now I find out it was already out for a year and then died again?
I'd sooner try out Ragnarok Online all over again, or even play MapleStory 2

unfortunately you just gotta play with friends if you want a good experience. which really does hurt its chances.

ToS was dead on arrival in the west. Lost Ark had nothing to do with it.
700 players (pre-LA numbers) on one server isn't dead by any stretch of the imagination.
200 players kinda is.
Tree of Saviour was never similar in anything other than the art style.

I tried playing this on android and it took 5+ minutes to boot every single time
The Steam version is better. All servers are connected anyways.
That IS the steam version. It scans your installed programs and reports it back to the server. That is spyware.
Well it never did that for me so idk
The first initial load is pretty long but after that it loads as a normal MMO would
You don't have AutoHotKey installed, then.
It boots just as slow on steam, literally slower than full-size pc mmos
Frick off with this spyware shit.
Didn't this game have a really bad translation?
