well global warming isn't real, considering they shot their load on "global cooling" first, and when both failed they went with "climate change" which seems to work on normies, considering taxes going up to "save the planet" while the people preaching it are flying private jets all over the place, and owning multiple mansions with bigger carbon footprints than entire towns.

Honestly, we're now at the point where global warming can be experienced firsthand without needing to predict anything. Temperature records are being broken every few days, extreme weather patters (e.g. extreme rainfall, unseasonal drought) can be observed all over the world, forest fires are more common than they've ever been, entire schools of dead fish are washing up on multiple shores, etc. At this point climate change deniers aren't just stupid, they're either outright evil or just willing slaves of big oil.

American cuckservatives turning science denial and anti-intellectualism into their official political platform has done so much damage to the world as a whole it's insane.

this is why i preach that trying to stop/slow climate change or trying to convince people you SHOULD try is pointless. i know its impossible to predict exact outcomes and where but that should be priority #1 in every region. then trying to plan for the worst in the areas hit the hardest. the gulf coast is going to be hit with cat 3+ hurricanes regularly and who knows what new areas will soon have to worry about them.

USA citizens also have to accept a downgrade in the amount of energy the average person consumes, but since USA is the only nation with a military capable of getting the previous 4 countries in line, a concession must be made

What the frick is going on in this thread?
Are some posters here so dense that they fail to realize that all the nuclear energy disasters in the world doesn't even make a dent in the destruction that fossil fuel has done? You could fricking have a fukushima daiichi EVERY TEN YEARS and it STILL wouldn't be even close to fossil fuels.
Are people really this moronic here that they think
    >oh I don't SEE the damage wrought by coal and oil so it's all right
    >oh no! Nuclear disasters killed people in a short time span, surely it's worse than the amount of lung cancers caused by air pollution due to the overreliance on fossil fuels!
It's honestly mindblowing how some people just don't take things seriously when it's happening over a large time period instead of it being immediate.
All of the disasters combined is insignificant when compared to the process of MINING coal, and we are not even close to the power plants pumping literal poison which is staggeringly worse.
Like smoking cigarettes. "Oh it's going to happen in 20 years and not NOW so it's okay". "Oh those coal plants are fine because there are studies showing that it's safer than nuclear power, please don't spend more than 2 minutes checking the authors because it's evident that they are employed by a big oil or big coal mercantile corporation"

Nuclear energy is categorically safer than all the other fossil fuel energy "solutions" and it would still be safer if we have a nuclear catastrophe every 10 years for the rest of our lives.
