>The Changing god's Grand plan was to merge all the castoffs into himself
>somehow this will help stop the sorrow and he won't just start the cycle again
>the first's plan will result in castoff genocide to stop the sorrow
god damn both where so moronic. I ended up fusing all the castoffs into matkina, Frick the changing god and his dead daughter and the first, mattie has been with me through thick and thin and she WILL get her happy ending.

I actually really enjoyed playing this when it came out. God it's been a while I should give it another go and see if the charm's still there.
Have they ever talked about making a sexual, or something in a similar vein?
kek
That's the ending I went with. Everyone was dealt a hand to play and would all just have to let the chips fall where they may. It gives everyone a chance to live a life and if the Sorrow tracks them down? Well, we all have to die some day.
>a possible sequel
I would love if we could get another numenera video game, the setting was very interesting and there have been mechanical improvements w/ new books in the tabletop since tides of numenera came out. i think its unlikely though since numenera is such a niche system, the latest project inexile is working on is that timetravel first person rpg for xbox that reminds me of bioshock infinite, for good or ill
I felt that leaving things as they where was just delaying the inevitable, andthat the sorrow would cause more collateral damage chasing after the castoffs like we see throughout the game, atleast this way no places will get wrecked like that castoff sanctuary was, and no innocents could be caught in the crossfire. Then it was just a matter of deciding who should be the castoff that lives, changing god and the first are both terrible, the changing gods daughter should just be put to fricking rest like she should have long ago, and It was just in my nature to be self sacrificial with gold as one of my dominant tides, leaving matkina who's helped me and traveled with me since sagus cliffs to have a second chance, and she's smart enough to not frick with the tides.
The game was clearly an application to Microsoft
>pls buy us, we are broke
Not the best ending. The best one is just leaving things as they are with cast-offs slowly getting killed off. Matkina even gets a happy ending where she accepts death many years later with no fear. Its better than mass genocide and as you point out, the other options are shit.
So much wasted potential.
>Barret7
What did he mean by this
I typed the 7 by accident. Couldn't change.
Graphomania the game
My only complaint is how the game spoils the plot within the first half hour. You find those cultists in the town next to the weird clock device thing and one of the dialogue options was
>[Truth] I am the Changing God.
So I went through the game knowing I was him, but this time around being a bit more clever having learned from his past frickups. I merged them all into me, and the Sorrow was satisfied so long as I don't go fricking with the tides again.
In my headcanon, the Changing God definitely continued fricking around, but he figured out how to either not alert the Sorrow or how to defend against it.
The game definitely seemed intent on teaching you how not to be as moronic as his past incarnations were.
>posts in /crpgg/
>no (You)s
>posts on /vrpg/ instead
well, can't blame you.
>/crpgg/
You mean the owlcat general that 3 mentally ill morons post in and no one else
It's actually crazy how badly they ruined that place.
context?
trying to post about any crpg other than owlcat games usually ends up with you being ignored by the other posters who are too busy waifu rage baiting for the 500th time. i respect the guys that keep at though and post DOS/obscure games
This game definitely has some good ideas like progressing main quests when you sleep (making you think about resource management), I didn't stick with it long enough to see whether they truly committed though.
More RPGs with Bloom-like dungeons?
This is the game that made me reluctantly admit InXile is and always will be a complete fricking joke.
what happened was they siphoned numenera's funding into wasteland 2. hell, game released with missing content.
But Wasteland 2 was also garbage.
