Nah they're scrapping GeForce Experience as well. The new thing is going to do what panel and experience did but be less gamer-y and not require logging in.

What the frick is this login? I've never had to make any account for nvidia cards and I've been using them for decades.
Around 2015 or so, Nvidia updated GeForce experience so you had to make an account to access all the features (including automatic updates). The workaround to this was to install the "basic" Nvidia drivers which only comes with Control Panel.

A 4TB NVME drive is like $250. And if you're doing video, you should be uploading your raw footage to a NAS anyway.
How does OBS bloat your drive with recordings? geforce experience is trash. Use RivaTuner if you want to see performance details and for drivers download NVCleanstall.
Why the frick would you need shadowplay over obs when obs does everything it does but better?
GPU renders a frame of gameplay, OBS captures the screen and then renders its' video. Since each frame is essentially being rendered twice, it can be very taxing on performance and lead to poor framerates. Shadowplay (and AMD's Relive) only render each frame once and use that render for both the gameplay and the video capture, which means very little extra performance required.
For example, in Cyberpunk 2077, when not recording I get around 115 FPS, when using Shadowplay I get around 105, and with OBS I only get 70.
Even if the new tool doesn't require login. I don't trust Nvidia to not frick this up. Geforce Experience was trash spyware but the spyware part was the smallest issue. I doubt they can make a more stable tool especially with the AI hype going on - Gaming simply is no priority.

What's the big deal with Geforce Experience? I never used this shit once it my life, you can just straight tell to installer to NOT install it at all and it won't affect you at all.
I would guess they want to use the Shadowplay screen recorder, since the performance impact of it is practically nonexistent. Also, gaymer basedboys want five extra frames so they can play their unoptimized slop titles better.
