not likely. even the SteamDeck isn't designed for 4k native at 60 fps. handhelds will likely stay at 1080p.
You do not need 4k for nintendo games but i definitely think 60 fps should be a norm. if you want to run 4k resolution games then you shouldn't have gotten a switch to beign with.
Newest DLSS and frame generation upscaled from native 720p. Base Xbone raw processing capabilities, maybe a bit more on the CPU side of things because the Xbone and PS4 really had awful CPUs even for their time.
Nintendo is pretty good about backwards compatibility for their handhelds. They've stopped pretending that it's not their new handheld too since they already killed the 3DS, so I'd be surprised if it didn't have backwards compatibility with the Switch.
Given that it's nvidia again, there's a chance switch games will be able to run natively on the switch 2 hardware, not emulation or switch 1 hardware stuffed inside.
I think it would be an amazing selling point personally
At this point I noticed I've never taken my switch outside, so I'd rather have a more powerful home console but it would sell like shit so not happening.
We'll get a weaker ps4 in late 2024 and the games will be 720p 25fps again because even nintendo devs forgot how to optimize.
native DLSS and Frame Generation that makes switch one of the best handheld consoles out there. You can be sure NVIDIA wants to make Sony and Xbox regret not hiring them instead.
Ps4 + some modern additions
They're going to pack it full of antipiracy features that handycap the experience and then pirates will find a way regardless.
none. that shit will always be underpowered. low power/high performance is a cope. if you want to perform serious work, you need energy
>What are the realistic expectations?
4k 60fps docked

at gamescom they've shown vids of some games that were supposed to demonstrate target specs, one of them was botw running at 4K 60 fps
to be fair, even mid range pcs can do that because it's still a wii u game.
well yeah obviously it's not going to run modern games at 4K 60fps but nintendo games aren't photorealistic and will likely be vastly enhanced
i cant wait to see mario's hairy butthole in 4k raytraced glory
It probably won't have frame gen and if it even does have DLSS upscaling it will be cucked by CPU limitations anyway.
Ignore "leaks". Because frame generation is guaranteed because 3rd party developers wouldn't be able to get any ports to run on it.
>bing bing wahoos
>troony games
>sub 720p 30fps
>manchildren clapping their chubby hands
Its another handheld people will pretend is a good platform for video games because its got a Nintedno logo on it.

It will have games.
I'm more concern about the pricetag. This thing is going be overpriced as shit like any other Nintendo console when it was new
Games that run above 1440p 60fps on PS5 will run under 1080p 30fps
>Games that run above 1440p 60fps on PS5
All none of them?
bump
I just want backward compatibility, "insiders" keep talking about the fricking DLSS when i couldn't care less about it

I don't want backward compatibility. I already have Switch, I don't need another one built-in just make the new console cost more
Sony removed PS2 backward compatibility from the PS3 for a reason

around 3 teraflops docked with more modern features than ps4 pro, should be able to get some downports of ps5/series s games
