Gen 2 had potential but Game Freak was stupid and did alot of research shit like treated it like an expansion pack and adding a bunch of shitty babies, so the entire dex ended up failing. Gen 5 went out of its way to avoid Gen 2’s mistake by being stand alone but morons complained because muh ice cream ans WHERE’s CHARIZARDERINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, so Masuda had a mental breakdown man stopped trying after seeing his magnum opus get shit on for stupid reasons
