Wily's final form is literally RNG bullshit, and he stays out of your range for 75% of the fight. It's just a tedious endurance test to make sure you burst all of your blood vessels and get carpal tunnel.
I've already beaten the game multiple times, it's still tedious bullshit. I didn't say the orbs were RNG, the real problem is how infrequent Wily gets in shooting range. Using the spring subweapon to get him while he's high up isn't a good option because it locks you in place, and you can't stand under him to avoid the orb pattern. You really can't defend a boss that can last 5-7+ minutes.
>Stays out of your range
By holding down on the D-Pad, you can change the height and trajectory of the Wild Coil so it reaches the top of the screen, thus can reach Wily.
Not the anon who said it’s a mess, but the Doc robots, pathetically easy Wily stages that shower you with E Tanks and have laughable bosses and levels that are pretty flat and basic are issues. 3 is better than 2 though
Besides this, 5 and 6 are the best all around games. They have all the updates that were put in the games as they went on and take full advantage of the NES. 5 is very easy and 6 doesnt put up much of a challenge though, and the weapons and music are nowhere near as iconic
good points but the levels are anything but flat and basic (at least the robot masters levels), the wily stages are easy but in a inoffensive way, at least they're short
I have more time in MM2 than I have put all the other games in the entire series and I haven't used the metal blade even once, including (usually failed) no death runs on hard. Literally git gud

I don't need to git gud though, with such a OP weapon that trivializes a big majority of the game, there's no need of skill, as non-challenge as other megaman games can be, at least most of them don't give that option that made the level design obsolete, even the own designers realized how OP the weapon was and nerfed it in 3 with the shadow blade

Might as well just skip to Wily's Fortress with passwords and use the pause invincibility frames for the rest of the game or just use cheats outright if your lack of self control really is on par with that of a child.

you're using the same infamous arguments of the Soulsgays at this point >Nooooo this game is perfect and hard, you just need to stop using the things that the game gives you
Why is it so hard for you to accept the balancing problems of the game?
One more case in which people can't differentiate "objectively" from "subjectively". You want to use the latter. For further clarification, look up your nearest dictionary.
Literally the only good stage is Shade Man's, though Turbo Man's has a kino aesthetic. Everything else is a poor man's copy of previous games but more zoomed in.
>final boss requires a full inventory of E-tanks to beat
nah
Get good
Wily's final form is literally RNG bullshit, and he stays out of your range for 75% of the fight. It's just a tedious endurance test to make sure you burst all of your blood vessels and get carpal tunnel.
There is a pattern, it's tough but you can do it. I believe in you

If you use the wind coil method then the ball attack pattern isn't consistent and dodgeable. You have to be under Wily to keep it consistent.
not really but I love it and the OST is based as frick. i got the super famicom version
What are the best Megaman games out of the original series? People seems to say 4 and 5 aren't that great.
i like 3 best
6 is also pretty great, though too easy imo
3 is a clusterfrick
Since when? Best subweapons, memorable locations and bosses, significant boost in presentation, sliding... I'd argue that it's way better than 2.
Not the anon who said it’s a mess, but the Doc robots, pathetically easy Wily stages that shower you with E Tanks and have laughable bosses and levels that are pretty flat and basic are issues. 3 is better than 2 though
doc robot stages are very rushed, I'd rather they had cut 4 of the bosses or something. Not to mention all that lag
Besides this, 5 and 6 are the best all around games. They have all the updates that were put in the games as they went on and take full advantage of the NES. 5 is very easy and 6 doesnt put up much of a challenge though, and the weapons and music are nowhere near as iconic
4 is one of the best though
good points but the levels are anything but flat and basic (at least the robot masters levels), the wily stages are easy but in a inoffensive way, at least they're short
Well, yeah maybe saying they’re flat is stretching it but stages like say Hard Man for exmaple feel super empty and barren at times
1
>t. Patrician
You're too good for us, milord.
4 is the best. The final levels stay consistently difficult to the end
9>2>3>8>4>6>5>1>10>dogshit>7
Haven't played 11. Looks meh.
Dangerously based MM9/MM2 enjoyer.
>8 that high
It's aged really well, cool music, tight visuals and controls, nice weapons and the jump jump slide slide stuff is unironically fun and not that hard.
They're so goddamn good it hurts.
If you like MM8 I think you'll enjoy MM11 too. It feels the most similar to that game.
That's actually really cool to know. Thanks for the info, anon.
>2 that high
not only normalgay but wrong
Let me guess: filtered by Boobeam Trap.
how can I be filtered by a game I can cheese with a single weapon?
I mean yeah that boss sucks but that's the least of my complains

Must be tough being a megaman classic series contrarian, anon.
Objectively the worst but okay

MM8 is the best one and I'm tired of pretending that it isn't.

that one stage where MM gets stuck in shit. thats what this game is. MM is just rip off of Astro Boy
Astro Sóy is just a rip off of Pinocchio. Cope.
