The Xbox exclusive, which was previously known as Overdose, was officially introduced during The Game Awards last week, along with a teaser trailer showing close-ups of actors' faces.
However, as spotted by Central Xbox, and verified by VGC using the trailer on the official Kojima Productions YouTube channel, the section involving German actor Udo Kier appears to have a hidden message in it.
While Kier is talking to the camera, faint letters appear in his mouth during five separate frames, which can be seen easier if the video's brightness levels are adjusted (as we've done in the header image of this article, where you can see the letter A).
In order, the letters spell out 'Atami', which is a Japanese city located in Shizuoka Prefecture. The kanji spelling of Shizuoka is 静岡, and when separated into individual kanji, 静 means 'calm', 'quiet' or 'silent' and 岡 means 'hill'.

Death Stranding is amazing. Sure it has a long ass movie attached to it but 95% of the game time is pure gameplay with solid mechanics.
Delivering packages could have been pure kino if most of the time it was through those weird warzones or really dangerous horror type situations. I had trouble enjoying all the difficult terrain that was pretty barren.
Biggest mistake of DS were vehicles and zip lines and not having enemies roam the map to jack you.
I would have liked that better. I did the entire snowy mountain area on the motorcycle thing.

I found the terrain navigation challenge to be the best tbh, It really emphasized the moment to moment decision making. If anything I found the Mules detrimental and too easy to cheese/fight. Maybe if there were way less ways to fight non-lethally and the punishment for combat existed it could have been actually tense.
As it stands I find it to be a meditative experience outside of getting stuck in BT areas with no repair sprays and the baby not working anymore.
Replaying it for the second time now and just finished the Junk Dealer quests the other day.
I didn't mind it so much and would have loved it if you were navigating the terrain carefully in more horror type situations, and if the terrain you were navigating was more interesting than most of what we got. I can see your points though. It offered a different experience than what I was expecting or wanted. The warzones stuff was amazing and I wanted more of that.

Easy to say it’s overrated when a million clones have been released and the whole point of the demo was to experience the mystery in real time. I still have it on my ps4 and it was one of the most memorable gaming experiences ive had. It was fun as hell discussing it with Ganker trying to figure out the puzzles.
I played it the night it was announced on the E3 and I still think Kojima and Ito would make an amazing horror game, SH or not I don't care. Although the trailer with the actors was disappointing, I hope it's just part of some shitty viral campaign.

PT was definitely the scariest game I’ve played alongside Siren. I don’t know why a lot of people act like they are too cool for school like it wasn’t.
I don’t get scared at all by shit like that but the mood was just right with PT and I had that feeling of “frick, I don’t want to move forward, or backwards, wtf is happening here” god, I wish another horror game could capture that. I don’t know if it’s even possible in a full length game though.
It was fun at the time. And it was special. And it did some slightly innovative stuff. It was free. The big shock is, that nothing else on the PS4 or PS5 came close to the level of fun I had playing PT. PlayStation is simply dead.

It could just as easily have been a door of a different style or color. You could have created the "Horror Lighting" a multitude of other ways than a blue-green light bar directly above the door.
