Why didn't they just make one story DLC, then one stand-alone "DLC" that serves as a Stadium-like collection of the battle facilities and legendary hunts and other vaguely challenging content? If they're not going to improve the base game and instead staple random shit on the sides and end, why make me pay for the shit I don't want in the first place?

when i last played pokemon it constantly urked me that something was missing
being able to fill out your pokedex equivalent knowing that you got every single one is much more accomplishing in other games. doing it in pokemon feels like an empty accomplishment when there are ones that i basically have to skip over
