truly inovators. only nintendo could do something this strange and dumb
this if for the guy who banks on breaking his switch 6 times a year
truly head scratching, like removing mario from the e shop
Not only a few posts and we already have the Nintendo Cope and Dilation squad here to defend m'company.
No it's the fricking fact that people can't repair their products and have to go to Nintendo, also fricking insurance is usually paid as a flat price not a israeli subscription model you moron.
homie wtf I was never just saying that Nintendo didn't invent this >Insurance is usually not a subscription model
Not true at all there is plenty of "subscription based insurance". My car isnt worth a lot either but no one is offering insurance as a one time payment
I'll give you an actual defense, seeing as I bothered to look up the details. >2400 yen a year >covers the main unit, joycons, dock, and AC adapter >any Switch models >covers both random breakdowns and accidental damage >covers up to 6 repairs a year >2 repairs up to 100k yen(more than double what it'd cost to replace a Switch outright)
https://www.ign.com/articles/nintendo-switch-repair-subscription-japan
If you're concerned about accidents, like say if you're giving a Switch to some literal children who don't know how to take care of their shit, this isn't a bad deal at all. I wouldn't go for it since I take care of my shit, but it's not a bad deal.
It's almost worth it for Joycon insurance with original parts and service. But then I also replaced 2 joycons joysticks for like 10 dollars, so there's that.
Yeah, self repair for your joycons is cheaper. Assuming you only have to do it once or twice. This service seems more for problem prone people. It's nothing to get in arms over, this is a lot cheaper than out of warranty repairs are traditionally.

Mine is in pretty bad shape because it got dropped on concerete once but that was a slow decay from that single point of damage over several years.
Allowing 6 is basically saying it's unlimited and the limit is just there to stop scams where people get paid to repair switches and then have Nintendo do it instead. Well either that or joycon fixing is part of it, but even with how shoddily made the joycons are 6 in a year would still be pretty impressive
pulls Apple shit
they have always done that
Ganker defended nintendo when they made the wii u region locked, despite all other consoles being region free for almost 10 years already at that time
>can't be bothered to make controllers that work >can't be bothered to fix it in 5 years and 2 system revisions >charge people their own money to fix it >tendies still defend them
I own two dualsense controllers, two xbox controllers, and a switch with two joycons and two pro controllers. Guess which two have the drift, with the least amount of use? The joycons are trash. Stop being a dumb tendie
What CPU do you have and when did you play it? I do remember trying XB2 a couple of years ago on either emulator (i cant remember which one) and there was a good bit of problems. But I recently tried it again last month and it was prefect.
>console notorious for drifty joycons >sell millions of joycons as replacement >sell a light version with non-removable joycons >now sell a subscription to repair those joycons
>literally smashed five laptops, a mobile phone, three gamepads, two mice, and a keyboard to pieces in the last 6 months
I'd unironically pay for this shit if they covered the damage I inflict when the intermittent explosive disorder kicks in.
what the actual frick
I bet it's for some idiots that drop it all the time.
>nintenisraelite does nintenisraelite things
woah
Holy shit tendies
truly inovators. only nintendo could do something this strange and dumb
this if for the guy who banks on breaking his switch 6 times a year
truly head scratching, like removing mario from the e shop
AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY
Nintendo is taking you cucks for a ride holy shit.
>subscription service for repairs
You mean insurance?

I hate tendies so fricking much
You should work on that. They don't even think about you.
All they think about is when the next commercial block is going to air.
Not true, some of us have been thinking how disapointed they were by the last advertisment block
Not me though the partner direct was great.
they are literally a cult fr

Sole intelligent posts in this thread
if your shit is breaking that much, then yes you should have to pay in that case cause thats a you problem
why not just a per service charge? do zoomers and women really respond so positively toward subscriptions?
truly the apple of video games
Yes, people actually like being able to go to an actual brick n mortar on same day and getting things replaced or fixed.
Does it come with condoms?
>our console breaks so often we feel the need to invent a subscription to fix it
Its a handheld dumbass. Little kids drop that shit all the time.
>Little kids
Adults play the switch too
The majority of the playerbase is 30+
>NOW I CAN BREAK MY SWTICH 6 TIMES A YEAR!!! THANK YOU NINTENDO
As a longtime Sony fan, I feel incredibly outraged after reading this.
Frick Nintendo.
>replaced the fan once
>only repair in 5 years
how do people break this shit?
My joycons have been in a drawer for the past 5 years. The few times I do take them out to use them, they drift.
What do you think the average Nintendo user base consist of?
Mine is in pretty bad shape because it got dropped on concerete once but that was a slow decay from that single point of damage over several years.

lmao
>releases purposely defective controllers
>instead of fixing them for free they set up a subscription service if you want repairs or replacements
>covers up to six repairs per year
oh great, now you need to purposely break your console a few times to get the most out of this deal
Okay Nintendo, sure thing. Guess you want people to do the ol' return old in new box trick.
>Nintendo is joked about as being the Disney&Apple of the gaming world
>Actually pulls Apple shit
That's kinda funny
pulls Apple shit
they have always done that
Ganker defended nintendo when they made the wii u region locked, despite all other consoles being region free for almost 10 years already at that time
Xbox 360 was region locked. Sony were the only company not region locking at that time.
LMAO all the snoys in this thread jealous that sony didn't think of it first
>look up the cost
>it's a monthly fee of 200 yen
>get your joy cons fixed
>cancel subscription
i dont see the problem
>having to pay at all for defective hardware
>pay 2 dollars
>or pay 40 to replace it entirely
Option 3
>don't buy nintenbro and just emulate their games
You forgot option 4
Just stick the drifting Joycon in the new box and return for full refund, forcing Nintendo to take the hit on the write off.
Or offer free repairs for your broken-in-box controllers.
>can't be bothered to make controllers that work
>can't be bothered to fix it in 5 years and 2 system revisions
>charge people their own money to fix it
>tendies still defend them
what kind of controller repair does sony and microsoft have?
None because it's not needed you moron.
>it's not needed
lol
lmao even

Wanna know why you never hear about PS5 or XSX controller drift? Sony and Microsoft don't live rent free in Nintendo fan's heads.
I don't know about Sony, but I know that Microsoft lets you tweak the deadzones of controllers to get rid of drift.
I own two dualsense controllers, two xbox controllers, and a switch with two joycons and two pro controllers. Guess which two have the drift, with the least amount of use? The joycons are trash. Stop being a dumb tendie
source?
Serious question: is there anything tendies won't defend?
>Serious question: is there anything tendies won't defend?
Non Nintendo products and practices?
Their non-handhelds since those didn't sell.
BASED. Snoys are fricked when the roaches eat their PS5 kek
I'm willing to bet a third of all switch hardware sales were replacements.
Switch (the tablet) are near indestructible. The joycons are trash tho
Serious question, how do you emulate on yuzu/ryujinx without getting random crash? Those frickers refused to play game more than an hour
How much ram do you have? I was able to play Xenoblade 2 recently in full 4k60 fps on yuzu. Idk about ryujinx though
12GB, I also finished xenoblade 2 but saving and closing yuzu every hour is too damn troublesome
What CPU do you have and when did you play it? I do remember trying XB2 a couple of years ago on either emulator (i cant remember which one) and there was a good bit of problems. But I recently tried it again last month and it was prefect.
>nintendo does anything
>snoys seethe
>nintendo does anything
>tendies take it like good little goyim
Isn't this just an insurance but probably even shittier deal?
>console notorious for drifty joycons
>sell millions of joycons as replacement
>sell a light version with non-removable joycons
>now sell a subscription to repair those joycons
what's the difference between this an a phone insurance?
>literally smashed five laptops, a mobile phone, three gamepads, two mice, and a keyboard to pieces in the last 6 months
I'd unironically pay for this shit if they covered the damage I inflict when the intermittent explosive disorder kicks in.
Isn't this just like apple care. Sasuga apple of gaming they did it again.
