Is Resistance good? As an outsider it felt like it was trying to be Gears of War for Sony
I liked them quite a bit and I am not usually a big fan of console fps games since I started with wolfenstein 3d on PC. 30 years ago.
Resistance 1's online gameplay was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the series a lot. Resistance 3's campaign had a lot of heart put in it, and you could tell that it was deeply inspired by Half-Life 2's campaign without being an out and out ripoff.
I don't know if the games aged well because I haven't touched them in a long time. But I did enjoy them.
They're mediocre but not very close to Gears aside from maybe the visual style. I didn't care much for them and put them in the pile of "PS3 games the internet said were AMAZING but were disappointing".

I was going to put stuff like Uncharted, TLOU, and The Atelier Arland and Dusk trilogies for example, but seeing as how these underage (at least i hope they are underaged cause the alternative is....oh god) love to move the goal posts, they asked for 26 games aka exclusive "stuck" on the platform and i give a few examples, the fact of the matter is there are a LOT of games still exclusive and unported either cause they flopped, their companies shut down or forgotten, stuff like Time and Eternity, Trinity Universe

I bought a PS3 to play Demon's Souls, Little Big Planet, and Disgaea during that gen. Fat Princess was also fun. Additionally it had a lot of current gen Japanese shit whereas Xbox just had easy to emulate arcade ports. I think the PS edges out the xbox due to its back library of ps1 and PS2 games being far superior, like if I was a poor dumb kid I would get a PS for sure, but I have a good PC now so there's no reason to ever have a console again, but you are definitely a legit moron if you get an Xbox instead of a PS.

The only big release that actually justified the hype was Infamous 2.
