dunno, d1 to c2 I guess
yea then d7 to d8
He'll just fork your king and queen with the knight then
yea i guess king has to move g7 on his first turn
why not h8?
cause then he couldnt fork the queen when you promote the pawn
if black moves the King to g7, then you can do d7 to d8, knight tries to fork, you move the queen to f6 and it's basically mate from there
the knight already forked you before you can move the queen and your king is mated, you can't move the queen to f6.
if he does that I just move king to d7, if he moves the knight to f6 as response to check again I can take his knight with mine
You don't seem to understand. He would just capture the queen.
homie as soon as you move your pawn to get your queen, the right knight will move to f7 and check your king whilst also threatening your queen, you'll be forced to move your king out of check and then that same knight in f7 will take your queen.
Bishop to c2 makes the most sense. It prevents the pawn from advancing and completely boxes in the king.
white king to E6
d8
White knight to e6
d1 to d3, then queen the pawn
bazinga
knight f6, check
d8
hit em hard and quick
you do that after knight f6
how do you play these puzzles? who controls the opponent?
you, usually they're setup in a way where you have to find the minimal amount of moves to win, so the opponent has to always make optimal moves.
what
ded, for example, was him thinking what's the perfect move the black king has to do assuming white moved the bishop to c2.
The opponent plays perfectly from this point on, you have to play in a way that covers every possible play the opponent can make
nf6, if he moves king forward to g6 then bc2, if to g7 nh5 followed by bishop check. Basically you need to be able to promote the pawn with check.
>Nf6
King g7
>Nh5
King g6
If you try to bishop check you lose knight for nothing, no? Or am I missing some master plan
hes dumb. check with knight and then promote pawn to queen to protect the knight.
check with knight, black king moves to g7, promote pawn to queen, then the black knight moves to f7 and fork your king and queen.
ke7
so you're trading your queen for a knight?
treason then?
There was once a famous chess puzzle where promiting to a black knight resulted in mate. This led to the immediate chainging of the rules so you couldn't promote to the wrong color.
Something similar happened with promoting a pawn to a rook and then castling with it.
I kick the table, grab Bowser by the tail and frick him in the ass.
Promote to black knight
white knight to f6 check
black king to g7
white knight further moves to e8 to check the king again
then what does the black king do?
you can't just drop Then Came the Magician here, Ganker sucks at chess
I'm going to say
Bc3+, Kg7
Ne5
I don't know if you could get mate from there, but that seems like it would be in a good enough position to guarantee that the white pawn could be promoted as well as protect the king if it ever needed to move into file e in the event of the black pawn on e3 being promoted as well.
knight to f6 for the check, king moves to g7 or g6
bishop to h5. Even if king choose g6 the bishop is covered by the knight (and black is now in check) while also coving to block the black knight f7 fork. In the g6 case the king takes the knight on f6
I'm too lazy to see if black has better plays assuming the king took g7, or to check any moves further.
I see that someone mentioned the puzzle has a name so I'm just going to google it and then leave the thread
>check solver
>There's no solution you just hope black makes a mistake
Reeee
what solver did you check?
