For me the XSeX is much worse. It's at least kind of funny seeing Sony fail so hard at trying to make a cool design, while the Xbox is just a flat, bland, utilitarian box that sparks no joy in anyone whatsoever - a visual metaphor for the brand's decline and imminent demise.
PS5 Slim only comes with USB C to USB C cable and just a USB C port on the front also. I'd think they did amazing fricking thinking if the slim was launched with the normal console disc edition as the digital edition that's smaller and if you want to get a disc drive eventually you can, but they released it later and it's a worse version of the original PS5, in every way, except how it's the same console, just barely smaller and can't be stood up without an expensive stand, and if you want the disc drive it's obviously slower to read games since it's modular and one good thing is it actually connects to WiFi better, but if you have an Ethernet cable then it doesn't matter.

It's intentional to prevent new or smaller companies from ever being able to compete with the established publishers. Rather than making the best game, they just make games that can't be competed with in production values.
Just look at all the big indie or AA successes, none of them have actually ever grown into studio that could shift a AAA game without one of the big publishers hands all over the product.
