i saw the reviews.
it's a shame that its marred by the same technical issues that all modern AAA releases have with needing multiple day 1 emergency bug fixes.
its also a shame that it looks, feels and play like every other bethesda game when they really needed a win. they really needed the fresh and innovative title they promised.
speaking of look, its a shame that its another AAA RPG that goes for 2000 hours long campaign that looks like shit with too much down time and cringe story telling rather than 20 hours of solid story telling and fun, repeatable gameplay (like a FPS, infinite replayability). Lord of the Rings movies were 9 hours long, you think you're Peter Jackson? They really needed quality over quantity, instead the facial animations look horrid and straight into uncanny valley. It looks like morrowind.
With that said, they TRIED, which is always whats redeeming about BGS games. Theyre really trying and its just sad to see them fail. As long as they do better than BG3, who did the exact same shit, except its a parody of a video game and the game design is hostile, actively trying to frick you and rug pull you at every turn, designed around save scumming and meta gaming rather than problem solving.

After seeing serveral people play the early access, I concluded that game suffers from your average Bethesda game riddled with bugs, embarassing dialogue, gameplay, and the missions and exploration seem to only define this game (which is majority of it is empty land you explore, and mainquests are only the thing you rather should be focusing on since anything else is considered a generic fetch quest). No patches will fix this, since the game is a glorified Creation Engine tech demo.
it just seems that they just jump on the bandwagon of the next big thing that is popularized. Then, no one gives a shit about it in the next month or two. Rinse and repeat.
