This might actually be the case, they probably hate that it's their only success in over two decades of existence and the only thing keeping them afloat. If there was any way for Nintendo to steal their ownership of the IP they'd be gone instantly. At this point we're just waiting for the old homosexuals to die and hopefully the new blood will change things with their influence gone.
Considering everything else they've done as been an absolute failure, it's very plausible. They're trapped working on their one successful IP. And they resent that.
So Suicune got a raptor like form and now Raikou seems to be some kind of long-necked dinosaur.
What is it going to be for Entei? Triceratops? Ankylosaurus? Maybe we'll get some flying dinosaur with him. Would make as much sense as the Raikou design
Kek it’s not gonna be shafted like that. They’re turning them into the titular big dinosaur trio. Big theropod, big sauropod, big armored dinosaur (triceratops/stegosaur/etc)
Paradox Raikou seem to be based on a Kirin, a chinese mythological creature thats's like a half dragon half horse.
The origin of the Kirin apparently comes from when a chinese adventurer traveled to Africa and brought a couple of giraffes with him, and people treated them as mythological beings.
That’s what regular suicune is based on you fricking idiot. This is just a fricking dinosaur, stop overthinking it. There wasn’t anything to overthink about Walking Wake, this is no different. Goddamn
I want to strangle Bulbapedo and the other people who think Flutter Mane is based on some obscure Iberian vampire just because the game is in muh Spain. It’s Misdreavus + a microraptor because Hitoshi Ariga is just a huge dino autist who loves tiny raptors and has Misdreavus as his admitted favorite mon. The guy draws dinos and blogs about Misdreavus nonstop.
It's the other way around. Kirins didn't come from giraffe; giraffe came from kirin.
Chinese people already had the idea of a mythical kirin. When they went to Africa and saw giraffes, they were like "holy shit kirins are real" and brought some back. The word for giraffe in a lot of East Asian languages is kirin for this reason.
Look at fricking raiku, it's a smilodon. It's a tiger striped cat with saber tooths, a sabertooth tiger if you will. Knowing the origin of a design doesn't mean it's taken from bulbapedia, it just means analyzing the designs and the possible origins of them
Not saying I like raiku in the frist place cause I don't, I never liked the mammal trio, but these paradox designs are just so mind bogglingly stupid. WHY DO THEY NOT LIFT FROM ACTUAL PREHISTORY? WHY DID THEY JUST COMBINE RANDOMLY SELECTED DESIGNS WITH DINOSAUR FEATURES? THERE' SO MUCH COOL SHIT THEY COULD'VE DONE WITH THE IDEA OF PREHISTORIC POKEMON BUT THEY JUST DID THE STUPIDEST SHIT IMAGINABLE
I swear they're doing this deliberately. They're extremely overworked and just want the franchise to end already, so they're making bets with each other to see how shit they can make it before the higher ups catch on
>WHY DO THEY NOT LIFT FROM ACTUAL PREHISTORY
Because they're not actually prehistoric?
Come on anon, it's not hard. A smilodon created by a giant chicken supposedly having a reptilian ancestor? Sounds paradoxical, almost imaginary.
>the point is Terapagos created them from a drawing of the 3 fused
moron. The artist clearly saw the three and then drew it as a common ancestor.
The imagination theory has been completely shattered.
Ho-oh created them by resurrecting 3 pokemon that died in the burned tower fire (presumably a Vaporeon, a Flareon, and a Jolteon). They can't have any fricking ancestors.
The only thing you said that was true was that Ho-oh resurrected them.
That's it.
There's nothing saying they were created there.
There's nothing saying they were the eevees.
The existence of the paradox pokemon confirm ancestors.
in that case why does nobody know of the existence of the paradox dogs when the tower was supposedly built by humans and there are people in Johto old enough to have seen the tower burn. They would have seen the paradoxes and documented them just like they documented Ho-Oh and the revived beasts
9 months ago
Anonymous
One >dogs
Two, the age of the paradoxes is several million years before. They would be extinct.
Three, the scarlet book, the only book with them documented that only has one sketch of a paradox Donphan and a blurry photo, clearly doesn't document them all if the artist can be inspired by paradox mon that aren't mentioned in it.
Four, it was 200 years ago, an age where people could die on a boat trip let alone transporting media without them being destroyed.
>they were a kid when they imagined them.
Can you frick off with your stupid imagination theory? There's absolutely no way to reconcile it with the game anymore.
And this doesn't even make sense anyway since the descriptions and Donphan pictures were in the scarlet and violet book long before the professors were born.
>There's absolutely no way to reconcile it with the game anymore.
Wow sounds almost like a paradox

That's not what a paradox is, you moron.
The idea of a paradox is rooted in contradiction, if you make it imaginary then the contradiction isn't there and they just exist like a document being printed out on to paper.
Anonymous
The contradiction is how they can be an ancestor of a pokemon created 150 years ago. The answer is they aren't but the protagonist doesn't know that so they are called paradoxes. Every single past paradox has a reason of why they couldn't be actual real ancestors.
Anonymous
Amazing how you can get the definition right and then immediately go full moron on the origin. Positing an ancestor for a Pokemon that has no past IS the contradiction, you nitwit.
The pictures look different to the actual paradoxes and even if they were real, terapagos could have easily created them from Heath drawings back then. These beasts were also created from the fusion drawings, there is a reason the "time machine" doesn't bring them and only appear in raids created by the turtle.
Anonymous
>terapagos could have easily created them from Heath drawings back then.
There were no drawings.
Only Donphan had a sketch back then by the artist, according to the Occulture books they only had descriptions for the rest in the unseen pages.

Yes, I'm only talking about Donphan, follow the conversation. That's the reason Heath has pictures of only them.

If you were only talking about the Donphan then your argument doesn't work because the drawing was made AFTER their encounter with it.

The expedition was funded by the academy, they were expecting to find something, bring an actual treasure, so he needed to do it.
But even then if that was true, the professor also never made sketches of the paradoxes and terapagos still created them, could be Terapagos saw what Heath was imagining so made the donphan paradox for him, then Heath drew it. We know Heath had some kind of encounter with Terapagos because of that page with the formulas.

What? Anon, that's, again, on you. The idea is that the beasts were pokemon that died in the fire and then came back as the beasts. >as far as we see, they come to life from statues in the burned tower's basement
They were never statues in the first place. You should have realised that with crystal because Eusine had been looking for it for years, if there was a "statue" down there it would have been a local legend and that would have been the first place he looked.
Not to mention in HGSS they got rid of the stupid color change thing that made people think they were statues in the first place.

It is very much established in the lore that there were eyewitnesses of the event, these Pokémon were revived just one or a few hundreds of years prior to the events of GSC. We know for a fact these Pokémon have no ancestors.

>these Pokémon were revived just one or a few hundreds of years prior to the events of GSC. We know for a fact these Pokémon have no ancestors.
NTA but revived =/= created. There's nothing saying that they couldn't have just been the beasts and died in the tower only to be revived by Ho-oh.

They were very likely not the same trio we know about, Ho-oh at the very least made them stronger when they were revived (source: Pokémon Generations).

Pokemon generations isn't canon nor does it say they were different pokemon. You're interpreting their "transformation" as a change and not a repair.

NTA but I never thought of it like that before. They would have been burned and crushed beyond recognition you can't just revive something in that state or it would be a living hell, you would have to fix them up too.

Why couldn't Ho-oh revive other Pokémon? Maybe the new trio are some dinopokemon that got killed defending Ho-oh so Oh-oh revived them I to forms resembling the legendary dogs. Maybe Ho-oh doesn't have alot of variety. The 3 beast probably died out with the other dino Pokémon for whatever reason and Ho-oh didn't revive them.
Anonymous
If you want to keep the revival transformation you could always say something like there were Dino beast fossils under the ground and Ho-oh used them as a base for their new bodies.

>Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal 2, Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy,
You're not being serious right now, are you?
Star trek has more time paradoxes than logic paradoxes. The Voyage Home has a bootstrap paradox with the creator of some kind of aluminium if I remember right with Scotty telling it to the creator who would spread the means to create it which Scott would learn to tell him.
Doctor Who deals with paradoxes practically every week and if I remember right had a two part series finale a few years ago where the Master turned the Tardis into a paradox machine that kept it alive. Them there's Terminus and the paradox that created the universe.
And its been a while since I read hitchhikers but I'm pretty sure The Restaurant at the End of the Universe has time travel in it.
Why in the ever loving frick would you pick 3 series that cover time travel and 2 that have time paradoxes more than logic paradoxes to say that logic paradoxes are more common?

Anonymous
>they're much more commonly associated with sci-fi as they're usually the only weakness robots have as their artificial intelligence can't process them >see: Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal 2, Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy,
Like three of those use time travel paradoxes more than robot ones.
Then you have shows like futurama where they make a joke about Santa not having paradox absorbing crumple zones but also having fry being his own grandpa being the solution being brought up multiple times over with the brains, Big Score having a ton of paradoxes as a result of bender stealing things through time and Beast with a Billion Backs being the result of the final paradox in Big Score.
There's a ton of other sci-fi series that do time travel paradoxes
Ben 10 multiple times with the classic series ending with the final bad guy being put into a time loop he doesn't realise he's in.
The Dexter's Lab movie when it turned out the Dexter's sent the robots back to the present to get Dee Dee for stealing their win against Mandark setting the whole adventure off in the first place.
Rick and Morty with the snakes.
The star trek cartoon with spock saving himself as a kid
Marvel on multiple occasions but I like that Cable is the source of the techno-organic virus that infected him in the first place.
Planet of the Apes, the original and the first reboot if I remember right.
Terminator, the entire thing.
I think they have a time loop paradox in godzilla vs king ghidora
Bill and Ted uses them too, a lot.
You get the picture.

Sometimes I wonder how many fakemon designs GF's designers go through just to make sure they didn't make something that looks too similar to a fan made design.
it looks a bit better here because the legs arent as stubby looking
this one looks more like a real natural animal while the one we got looks like a fricking table
I left this place when imaginationgays were getting more and more deluded turning lore threads intk a completely cesspit, how are they still fricking at it and how have they not learned a thing?
>Timetravel makes zero sense
Dude, imagination makes zero sense.
Think about it, if you think the beasts were made 150 years ago in Johto how did the artist even know that they existed to make the combined sketch?
And if Terapagos can bring thoughts to life why didn't the sketches come to life? Why would they be brought into reality with features that were never in the sketch to begin with?
Hey anon, how can new Paradox Pokemon exist after the time machine was shut down? There's no way new ones can exist in reality unless some other non-time travel factor was spawning them in.
It was 150 years ago back during the johto games, it's 200 now by the time of SV, same exact time the expedition happened and the beasts were fresh in the researchers minds.
And Terapagos can bring the thought to life first and the sketch be innacurate because they only saw a glimpse of the paradox while it was running.
Why would something have such a long neck and sharp teeth? Dude can just be eating tree stars with those teeth. But I doubt it couldn't even touch its head to the ground. Probably grabs birds or other pokemon from tree tops. Can be the only way this thing survives.
>So what exactly are Paradox Pokemon
Past and future pokemon brought to the present. >and there's no real explanation on why they look like other pokemon?
They're defendants/ancestors to modern pokemon, that's said in game.
>You need the keycard to activate it
You need a keycard to turn it off, no one said anything about turning it on.
Plus the time machine was made by a team of people it's not unreasonable to say that there are multiple keycards out there somewhere.
Also if you were dedicated to that idea then I wouldn't make sense for imagination anyway, since the machine is supposed to be the thing that brings them to life.
Anonymous
The time machine is just a vessel to bring those ideas into reality, not the only one. A medium to satisfy humanity's wishes by Terapagos. Hence why Walking Wake and Iron Leaves appeared and could ONLY appear after the time machine was shut down, and why more Paradox Pokemon continued to appear afterwards. You can't do 5-star raids until you beat the game. If it were really time travel, then there'd have to be an active time machine. But it's off, that was the whole point of the final battle. You can revisit the lab and see that it's still off.
Anonymous
Anon, if the time machine wasn't necessary then it has no place in the story at all. It just exists for the sake of existing which makes no sense. Not even GF is stupid enough to write a story element and act like it was never important.
You can't even make the argument that it speeds things up or maintains them because if that were the case then heath wouldn't have seen the paradox pokemon since the time in area zero would have been too short and they wouldn't exist after the machine was shut off.
Imagination doesn't work under scrutiny anon. There are no plausible explanations for any of it.
Anonymous
It exists to put the paradox mons into masterballs, that's about it. Which also explains why Terapagos could easily make the donphan paradox for Heath, but because he had no machine, the paradox attacked his team.

"The original professor had a dream...of a world in which past/future Pokémon might live alongside present-day Pokémon in harmony."
And that is why the time machine works. Just like why the AI Professors exist at all. The Professors wished to have a capable lab assistant, and Terapagos made that reality.
Anonymous
>The original professor had a dream...of a world in which past/future Pokémon might live alongside present-day Pokémon in harmony."
Anon, they didn't confirm that they were truly past and future pokemon until AFTER and that dream came much later so much so in fact that the AI, a copy of the professor's thoughts, didn't understand it. >The Professors wished to have a capable lab assistant, and Terapagos made that reality.
Which also doesn't make sense, if Terapagos grants wishes exactly which created the paradoxes exactly as they imagined why would it not just create a flesh and blood assistant? Why was it a purely mechanical AI?
Anonymous
>Why was it a purely mechanical AI?
It's not mechanical, you blind idiot. The AI Professors are made of terastal crystal. Their true nature reveals itself during the Paradise Protection Protocol fight. Just like how the time machine was created using terastal energy. Which also alters the type of Pokemon, as people wish.

It's mechanical, the AI professor says it both in the English and Japanese version.
But I know why you made that mistake, at the end of the game they begin absorbing terastal energy, which was also said, and start undergoing terastalization but instead of the crystal covering the body you think it's like those fake dark tower digimon in digimon 02 don't you? As in the human shell is cracking revealing the crystal underneath like pic related.
Anonymous
>It's not mechanical, you blind idiot >unironically calling people blind when you're illiterate
They turn it off but it's never disabled outright and remember, the paradise protection protocol AI is still a thing in the system of the time machine itself which the AI professor was tied into.
Remember, the professor DID NOT want the thing turned off under any circumstances, having multiple failsafes in that event is something they would do.
What.
You didn't argue anything anon. You just said >but you need a keycard!
But we don't know shit about the process to actually turn it on, just that it had a metric frickton of defences to keep it on.
They're the ancestors/descendants of modern pokemon brought to our time by a time machine. However there are some things that may hint they aren't that at all, and instead fakemons brought to life. If this is ever addressed by the game, it'll be in the second dlc when we return to area zero. Although I think it'll be funnier if it's never addressed and people just endlessly argue about it
>Long sharp teeth >Long neck that can't touch the ground
How and what would this fricker eat? Kind of funny they made the speedy mon the most awkward looking.
Are you moronic? The book says the design there is based off what they "might look like", you're saying they actually encountered them then just made up designs anyways, both these things can't be true, otherwise they would just write about the paradox beasts/swords like any other Pokemon.

Anonymous
Anon, that's what being inspired means.
Do you think that they literally have to literally use the word inspired to say that?
Read this again
It says he was inspired by the paradox pokemon.
>the size and ferocity of the strange pokemon that dwell in area zero's lower reaches tickled the artist's imagination
The definition of inspiration is >the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
Unless English isn't your first language I can't see how you could make this mistake.

Holy shit you're fricking moronic, I'm asking why they would go out of their way to make up a fakemon when they apparently saw the 3 beasts. The passage blatantly says they make the design up, and we know for a fact they didn't write about the actual paradox beasts.
I'm asking why they would make a fakemon based off the Pokemon you're saying they saw, and yet not write anything about these same Pokemon. There are extensive reports of all other paradox mons, including the allegedly super rare Mirai/Koraidon, and yet they just happened to exclude the 3 beasts/swords, but still felt compelled to make up an imaginary fusion?

Paradox Raikou seem to be based on a Kirin, a chinese mythological creature thats's like a half dragon half horse.
The origin of the Kirin apparently comes from when a chinese adventurer traveled to Africa and brought a couple of giraffes with him, and people treated them as mythological beings.
Paradox Raikou is a brachiosaur because Paradox Suicune was a theropod dinosaur

They're extremely overworked and just want the franchise to end already, so they're making bets with each other to see how shit they can make it before the higher ups catch on
It's just that terapagos sucks at designing, it's a fricking turtle.
Hope you cried about Suicune being a T-Rex, yoo.
>Timetravelgays are still at it
All me btw. Im also trans, not sure if it matters.
Timetravelgays are so pathetic.
Begone back to hell, schizophrenic timetravel homosexual
Imaginationchads won. Pokemon knows how to steal from the best
>He still thinks the paradoxes are ancestors/descendants
lmaoing @ ur life rn
when are you going to realize that imaginationbros were the winners all along?
Half the shit in bulbapedia is wrong, they directly go against actual statements by developers in some cases too.
>Half the shit in bulbapedia is wrong
show 3 examples
No
Artwork looks base, but who made that trailer choose the worse way to introduce it
This franchise is never coming back
What’s wrong?
this was also the dealbreaker for me
zoom zoom
isn't that just a simplified raikou paw?
Yeah.
Also it's weird that people are mad about the neck since fan artists used that same concept for it a fair amount.
fricking ewwww. you cant just take a random ass design and make it a giraffe.
I love it like this, they suck so much at 3D they are taking life away from every new pokemon.
How do they suck at 3D?
Why it looks good on 2d and so shit on 3d?
it looks like moronic shit in 1d, 2d, 3d, and 4d
Ai generated design
I feel like this could almost be good if changed a few things, I don't know. Currently it's like a downie Cradily
Art looks great, it's just the model that is awful
It'd look better if they changed the head shape more. It looks too much like default Raikou.
looks like the one thing from that game with the robot dinosaurs
Horizon Zero Dawn
Even I could've designed something better than that abomination wearing Raikou's face.
Yeah, the point is Terapagos created them from a drawing of the 3 fused, it's supposed to be an abomination.
>the point is Terapagos created them from a drawing of the 3 fused
moron. The artist clearly saw the three and then drew it as a common ancestor.
The imagination theory has been completely shattered.
the book is, in universe, mocked for being bullshit. of course what people find decades later isnt gonna line up with whats in the book.
You know Ho-Oh created the beasts, right? They don't have ancestors.
And the page of the fusion says drawing of an imagined pokemon.
One
>dogs
Two, the age of the paradoxes is several million years before. They would be extinct.
Three, the scarlet book, the only book with them documented that only has one sketch of a paradox Donphan and a blurry photo, clearly doesn't document them all if the artist can be inspired by paradox mon that aren't mentioned in it.
Four, it was 200 years ago, an age where people could die on a boat trip let alone transporting media without them being destroyed.
How are you people this fricking stupid
Ah yes! Pokemon
>It's actually badly designed on purpose
Frick off.
All the other paradoxes designed by the professors also look like shit and it makes sense, they were a kid when they imagined them.
>they were a kid when they imagined them.
Can you frick off with your stupid imagination theory? There's absolutely no way to reconcile it with the game anymore.
And this doesn't even make sense anyway since the descriptions and Donphan pictures were in the scarlet and violet book long before the professors were born.
They are big foot tier pictures.
No, no they aren't.
The contradiction is how they can be an ancestor of a pokemon created 150 years ago. The answer is they aren't but the protagonist doesn't know that so they are called paradoxes. Every single past paradox has a reason of why they couldn't be actual real ancestors.
These beasts were also created from the fusion drawings, there is a reason the "time machine" doesn't bring them and only appear in raids created by the turtle.
>terapagos could have easily created them from Heath drawings back then.
There were no drawings.
Only Donphan had a sketch back then by the artist, according to the Occulture books they only had descriptions for the rest in the unseen pages.
Yes, I'm only talking about Donphan, follow the conversation. That's the reason Heath has pictures of only them.
>I'm only talking about Donphan, follow the conversation
If you were only talking about the Donphan then your argument doesn't work because the drawing was made AFTER their encounter with it.
>Positing an ancestor for a Pokemon that has no past
Oh god, you think that Suicune, Raikou and Entei were made in the burned tower don't you...
>AFTER their encounter with it.
Heath lied to try to sell his book, simple. Before that they only found crystals and herba mystica, he needed a hook.
>Heath lied to try to sell his book
Prove it. Nothing in the game says it was a lie and all the pages we see are an accurate depiction of things in area zero that we can visit.
Yeah I sure do remember seeing lush jungles, gorilla like pokémon, and paradox pokémon running around before they were released from the lab where they were created.
>Oh god, you think that Suicune, Raikou and Entei were made in the burned tower don't you...
prove that they werent
actually prove that they originated from three dead pokemon at all
as far as we see, they come to life from statues in the burned tower's basement
they were never originally alive to begin with
>prove that they werent
Burden of proof is on you, dipshit. You're the one making the claim that they did despite the lack of evidence.
>actually prove that they originated from three dead pokemon at all
>Oh god, you think that Suicune, Raikou and Entei were made in the burned tower don't you...
>Pokémon Generations
If you want to keep the revival transformation you could always say something like there were Dino beast fossils under the ground and Ho-oh used them as a base for their new bodies.
They are slapping you in the face with evidence that it is not a time machine do they literally need to say it before it penetrates your dense skull?
>They are slapping you in the face with evidence
Anon there's literally nothing suggesting imagination that isn't your imagination.
>"an imagined pokemon" not imagination
I still don't understand how people from vp can be this dense in a kids game
You morons said this about the drawings in the book and then they turned out to be fake. Imagination theory is literally schizoid shit ignoring the fact that at every point the game tells you it's time travel
The drawings are the biggest evidence it's imagination.
Before paradoxes released
>BRO THE FACT THAT THEYRE GOING TO LOOK LIKE THE IMAGINED DRAWINGS PROVES IMAGINATION THEORY
After paradoxes released
>BRO THE FACT THAT THEY DONT LOOK LIKE THE IMAGINED DRAWINGS PROVES IMAGINATION THEORY
LITERALLY UNIRONICALLY MENTAL ILLNESS
They still look like them if they were fused. That's even more proof it's imagination, the turtle separated 3 concepts of an imagined drawing.
This homie thinks this Raikou actually existed lmao
Evidence for time travel
>AI says it was time travel, explaining the mechanics
>the Raidon are genetically similar to the modern day Cyclizar rather than having the exact same or no genetics
>Arven alludes to a time paradox
>the paradox pokemon are past and future themed
>the paradox pokemon are called PARADOX pokemon, a type of contradiction commonly associated with time travel
Evidence for time travel
>muh YouTuber said so!
>the paradox pokemon are called PARADOX pokemon, a type of contradiction commonly associated with time travel
oh so you're that moron, good to see you again
>oh so you're that moron
Wut.
Actually you know what, I'm not surprised you would have imagined a boogeyman to deal with common sense.
Common sense of deez nuts on yo mamas fat breasts! Loool
you're the only moron to keep pulling that "paradoxes are commonly associated with time travel" bullshit
newsflash: they're much more commonly associated with sci-fi as they're usually the only weakness robots have as their artificial intelligence can't process them
see: Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal 2, Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy,
>Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal 2, Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy,
You're not being serious right now, are you?
Why in the ever loving frick would you pick 3 series that cover time travel and 2 that have time paradoxes more than logic paradoxes to say that logic paradoxes are more common?
>they're much more commonly associated with sci-fi as they're usually the only weakness robots have as their artificial intelligence can't process them
>see: Star Trek, Doctor Who, Portal 2, Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy,
Like three of those use time travel paradoxes more than robot ones.
>Santa not having paradox absorbing crumple zones
Frick, meant to put not being affected by paradoxes due to having paradox absorbing crumple zones
Yes i remember the dude that thought paradox was just related to time travel when it can be used for any contradiction. Good times in thoses time travel vs imagination threads...
I knew it was imagination before I even returned to the internet after playing the game.
Most youtubers are dumb enough to think it's time travel in the first place.
>Most youtubers are dumb enough to think it's time travel in the first place.
Most of the big lore poketubers try to push imagination you moron.
Name one
Literally all of the imagination bullshit mentioned in this thread is in this video.
https://youtu.be/G-avKf-uQZY
That's not a big youtuber.
>big lore poketubers
Key words anon.
>Most youtubers are dumb enough to think it's time travel in the first place.
This, most poketubers i saw just think the designs are dumb but believe in the time travel bullshit. Becase a saber tooth like raikou evolving from a brachiosaurus makes complete fricking sense.
You imaginationgays and your wild imaginations
>do they literally need to say it before it penetrates your dense skull?
The fricking irony
You can't give something a neck that long but keep its body with the same proportions, it just looks goofy.
Paradox pokémon is one the worst gimmicks ever.
It's not like they have their own dex entries to forever solidify them as here to stay.
Oh wait.
>It's fine when the fans do it
It was pretty stupid then too. They should have just all been therapods
This also looks moronic, just slightly less so. I hope its actual typing isn't electric/dragon
Sometimes I wonder how many fakemon designs GF's designers go through just to make sure they didn't make something that looks too similar to a fan made design.
sure looks better than the official one but still dumb as frick
it looks a bit better here because the legs arent as stubby looking
this one looks more like a real natural animal while the one we got looks like a fricking table
>lmao smilodon face and a sauropod body.
Atleast theropod suicune made sense, since they are both carnivore.
Actually better than the official one
What the shit
It's shit but it's still miles better than the official version.
KWABOTY contender
Raikoubros, why do they hate us so much?
They hate johto.
You can paste that text on every single paradox.

Left is literally me
What animal will paradox entei be?
It’s official name is Raging Bolt
>not Towering Storm
>not Thunderous Throat
This is beyond embarrassing, Pokemon is dead. No good mon shall remain untainted at this point.
CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES
I left this place when imaginationgays were getting more and more deluded turning lore threads intk a completely cesspit, how are they still fricking at it and how have they not learned a thing?
Timetravel makes zero sense.
This mon isn't related to Raikou.
And Terapagos can bring the thought to life first and the sketch be innacurate because they only saw a glimpse of the paradox while it was running.
>it's 200 now by the time of SV,
Anon, that would mean that 50 years passed between SV and the Johto games, that's astronomically moronic.
In real life it's been 25, doubling that number isn't that crazy.
>doubling that number isn't that crazy.
Except it is since the time between alola and Kanto was around 10 while in real life it was 20.
Why would something have such a long neck and sharp teeth? Dude can just be eating tree stars with those teeth. But I doubt it couldn't even touch its head to the ground. Probably grabs birds or other pokemon from tree tops. Can be the only way this thing survives.
>brontosaurus meaning pun
>lightning rod
>not thinking a lightning flinging sauropod's neat
I want whats happening in that picture to be in the next monster hunter
So what exactly are Paradox Pokemon? Is the gimmic that they're like Cryptids and there's no real explanation on why they look like other pokemon?
Giant turtle makes them real, same reason pokemon can change type this gen.
>So what exactly are Paradox Pokemon
Past and future pokemon brought to the present.
>and there's no real explanation on why they look like other pokemon?
They're defendants/ancestors to modern pokemon, that's said in game.
>Shut down time machine
>Pokemon from other time periods keep appearing anyway
Uh anon
>shut down time machine
>never destroy it
>turn it on again
Uh, anon
>turn it on again
You lost me here
You need the keycard to activate it and the AI Professor took it with them into the void
It exists to put the paradox mons into masterballs, that's about it. Which also explains why Terapagos could easily make the donphan paradox for Heath, but because he had no machine, the paradox attacked his team.
Do I really need to explain why that doesn't make sense.
>Anon, if the time machine wasn't necessary then it has no place in the story at all.
"The original professor had a dream...of a world in which past/future Pokémon might live alongside present-day Pokémon in harmony."
And that is why the time machine works. Just like why the AI Professors exist at all. The Professors wished to have a capable lab assistant, and Terapagos made that reality.
>Why was it a purely mechanical AI?
It's not mechanical, you blind idiot. The AI Professors are made of terastal crystal. Their true nature reveals itself during the Paradise Protection Protocol fight. Just like how the time machine was created using terastal energy. Which also alters the type of Pokemon, as people wish.
>as people wish
It's not wishes
>It's not mechanical, you blind idiot. The AI Professors are made of terastal crystal.
>It's not mechanical, you blind idiot
>unironically calling people blind when you're illiterate
They turn it off but it's never disabled outright and remember, the paradise protection protocol AI is still a thing in the system of the time machine itself which the AI professor was tied into.
Remember, the professor DID NOT want the thing turned off under any circumstances, having multiple failsafes in that event is something they would do.
What.
You didn't argue anything anon. You just said
>but you need a keycard!
Although I think it'll be funnier if it's never addressed and people just endlessly argue about it
It’s growing on me. This is actually really cool!
Back to hell with you, wojakhomosexual
Frick you i actually like it. Maybe its cause of Dinosaur bias.
Holy frick my sides
Hahahahahhahahaha holy shit
Raikoubros????????
What the frick have the designers been smoking lately? Why can't they make something that just looks normal? I'd take a million pa's dogs over this
The frick is "normal" to you?
Not whatever
is.
>Here's that DLC you asked for anon
my neck hurts
>TPC introduced a pokemon with a long neck for vore day
based
Vore day?
8/8, the shitty fetish day.
Yes! It's the best day of the year.
Long necks
>Long sharp teeth
>Long neck that can't touch the ground
How and what would this fricker eat? Kind of funny they made the speedy mon the most awkward looking.
he catches birds straight out of the air
THERE'S A WEIRD FRICKIN' CAT OUT HERE
Are we still holding out for a fusion mechanic
At this point it's clearly that they saw all three beasts/swords and the artist literally just went
>what if we combined them!
The game very explicitly says they made the designs up.
It says he was inspired by the paradox pokemon.
why would they make the design up if all 3 beasts actually "exist"
It's almost as if he's inspired.
Are you moronic? The book says the design there is based off what they "might look like", you're saying they actually encountered them then just made up designs anyways, both these things can't be true, otherwise they would just write about the paradox beasts/swords like any other Pokemon.
Anon, that's what being inspired means.
Do you think that they literally have to literally use the word inspired to say that?
Read this again
>the size and ferocity of the strange pokemon that dwell in area zero's lower reaches tickled the artist's imagination
The definition of inspiration is
>the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
There are extensive reports of all other paradox mons, including the allegedly super rare Mirai/Koraidon, and yet they just happened to exclude the 3 beasts/swords, but still felt compelled to make up an imaginary fusion?
why on earth would gamefreak put the actual designs of mons they wanted to reveal later you idiot
the combinations were there just to give a teaser
>Plan to add paradox forms of two legendary trios post-release
>Want to tease this so players can start getting hype
>Decide it'd be fun to tease it in a little lore-friendly easter egg
>Design a fusion of the two trios in their respective paradox themes and put them in the journal
>Explicitly state that these drawings are entirely made up by the in-universe artist
>morons still build an entire thesis around it being literal
>even when the "imagined" pokemon doesn't look anything like the pokemon the artist imagined
>love dinosaurs
>feel nothing when I look at this
the thing reads more like a giraffe
The nips seem to like the weird dino Raikou.
Nips like literally anything Anon
Not just the nips, given it's Serebii tweet has the most likes by far out of all 4 mons shown
Long neck Raikou is getting moronicly popular
Because it’s a good thematic design
It was always popular, it's by far the most consistent aspect of fan paradox Raikou designs.
It's the fact they didn't even really change it's head from Raikou's enough, it's literally a smilodon head slapped on a sauropod.
There are homosexuals that think this evolved into an actual Raikou lol. The timetravel thing still is bullshit for me.
Did Raikou deserve this?
It's the most anyone has ever talked about the defect of the trio.
I like it but not more than the original
being a pokemongay in 2023 is just having a humiliation fetish at this point
I'm out. they've had me since 98 and I'm out. That's it. I'm done. I can't take it. I didn't want it to be like this but it is and I'm out.
see ya when gen 10 comes out 🙂
Its a Paraceratherium
I love it.
I like it.
Makes me wonder what they are gonna do with Entei. I'm thinking a stegosaurus
Slither Wing is the stego from what we’ve seen, though it does so by combining with paleopteran traits. Hoping for a triceratops or maybe a pteranodon for Entei. Flutter Mane is called a “pterosaur” ingame but it’s pretty clearly microraptor inspired with its four feathered “wings” for hair.
No, Bulbapedia confirms its based on a Spanish legend
😉
homies out here saying they love this bastardization not even a very good sauropod either
You're right. It needs a longer neck.
This is what you people sound like
yeah sure doesn't matter how many conflicting motifs you slam into a pokemon if it makes it look like shit
The pokemon looks good
>stretches neck
>still looks ok
raikou's design is just that good I guess
hahahahahahHAHAHAHA
its funny because I knwo someone made this in seriousness
So we can safely assume they are gonna do Entei/Terrakion at some point. I think the question is, are Ho-Oh and Keldeo gonna get something?
Don't even care about the mainline ESG cancer anymore. Came here just to laugh at this shit.
Kino design. Ya'll just mad you got no taste
>Ya'll
The art for this thing so quickly is insane, but I like the design so it's fine by me
It's horrid, but Origin Palkia and Dialga still take the cake for absolutely raping an old design.
Because they're fricking amputee centaurs.
How are they amputees if they still have the same number of limbs they always had?
Fricking look at them and tell me they don't look like they're missing limbs.
>Palkia: Four limbs
>Dialga: Four limbs
>Origin Palkia: Four limbs
>Origin Dialga: Four limbs
>Arceus, whom Origin Palkia and Dialga approach: Four limbs
Nothing is missing. You are filling in imaginary blanks with headcanon.
To be fair, palkia looks like it could be a centaur.
I see it too
Centaur Palkia is cool though. Dialga not so much.
I feel like they should have just reversed them.
Dialga was already kind of a horse, so give it a bipedal form.
how the frick do these legs bend
>anon discovers non humanoid anatomy
i don't think you understand how fricking stupid that leg structure is, especially for a feline. The knee is bending the wrong way lmao.
>especially for a feline
Good thing it isn't one.
it's based on a sabretooth tiger mongoloids
Even if it was a fricking horse, the legs still wouldn't make sense.
>sabretooth tiger mongoloids
Raikou is.
The paradox is a brachiosaurus.
you can't design a fricking cat, give it a long neck and fricked up feet and call it a dinosaur.
Sure you can. It happened.
It’s not a felyne moron
Its brachiosaur anatomy, though the toes frick it up a bit.
>though the toes frick it up a bit.
Only one nail for both front feet that go inward.
Multiple instances of frame drops in the trailers lmfao
The frick did they do to my boy Raioku
I actually like it. Especialy what they did with cloud.
wacky ahhhhhhh
God damn I hate pokemon
Funny giraffe cat haha
