The game is okay, but it has some obvious flaws. I still enjoyed it, but that might've been mostly from nostalgia. I think if you enjoyed the ps1 game you might get a kick out of this one. I hope it sells well so we get more of these games, they are incredibly niche though since they play more like tamagochis instead of the other digimon games.
It definetly has a cheap feeling to it overall, you can clearly tell how restricted the budget was. It was a surprise it got a ps4 port in the first place. The game started as a vita exclusive, they later upgraded the graphics slightly and put it out on ps4.
Low budget isn't why games look bad. That would be poor art direction. A lot of 3D modelers nowadays just make a model and slap it in the provided engine. Nothing is tweaked, it just looks the way it comes out.
I mean, cyber sleuth looked better than swsh and Digimon games have small budgets (compared to pokemon) so what’s gamefreaks excuse other than the fact that people will buy it anyway?
Here's the link it was a pre order bonus and at one point on the bandai site for download till it got taken down.

Tommy was definitely obnoxious but was kinda hoping Ranamon would be yellow just so yellow hybrid has more support instead of blue getting 3 waves of support.
Nope still pretty much the same except the Xros introduced a new mechanic called "save" which makes it if you delete one of their digimon they can chuck the digivolutions under a tamer which can then digivolve.
Xros is the best deck right now.

You Save when your digimon dies to tuck under a tamer and Material Save tucks the sources instead of the top of the stack. Xros eats these tamer sources and/or from hand to reduce play costs.
Screw them over with the rookies that deny cost reductions
So any good digimon games for steam? I remember playing some really good ones for ps1 back in the days. I'm mainly looking for one thats an adventure and proper rpg
>So any good digimon games for steam?
There's only 2 games, and out of those only 1 is mildly good; Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition.
You may remember it as the game everyone compared Pokémon Sword and Shield with in terms of move animations.
It's not the greatest game ever and it has a lot of boring padding, but it's enjoyable, specially if you're a Digimon fan.
>If I hated cyber sleuths, would I like this one in comparison?
Maybe.
It does play different, for whatever that's worth.
Digimon Story games are turn-based JRPGs.
Digimon World games are more focused on the tamagotchi raising aspect. There's still battles, but you only use vague commands like giving support to your Digimon or items and not much else.
Sure if you enjoy being a min max autist to raise your digimon and crunching numbers to get 30 mins of playtime with your fully raised digimon, 40 max if you did everything right, then your diginon dying and having to do it all again? If that sounds like fun then sure go right ahead, the world 1 gays will say this is peak digimon while denying everything else
People have been asking for this on PC for years. Most of them won't know if there's new content or not because it's the first time they'll be playing it.
Excellent fricking game, put 350h to get all the digivolutions and get 100%. Used no guide whatsoever.
The only warning I'd give to new players is don't abuse the digimon fusion mechanic because it's too broken.
>another episode of world 1 gays screeching their game is the salvation of the franchise >ignoring this and digitize are remakes of 1 >they say it doesn't count >also ignoring Cybersleuth was the best selling game in the whole franchise >but the world 1 autists knows what's better for the franchise and will scream to remake again their spreadsheet gaming
I just wish Digimon games had more room to use lower-stage evolutions. In a sense Next Order kinda helps that by having 2 partners so one can be lower level and participate in battles while getting more out of it, Survive also kinda had the right idea by making higher evolution levels drain SP but I don't think it really matters because the drain is too small.
The Story games are the main culprits of this, there's really no reason to use lower levels except to gimp yourself. Maybe a simple equippable item or attack skill that is more effective against higher stage opponents would fix that.
these games are so mind numbingly easy and shallow. it's like they're made for kids, but no kid has bought anything Digimon related in the last 15 years.
game sucks remaster world 1
Go play ReDigitize:Decode. You won't need a 1 remake after that.
redigitize sucks and isn’t the same
people asking for remakes suck
Why
>BECAUSE NO SOUL
>BECAUSE DIALGOG
>BECASE ADVENTURE
Go replay World 1.
I'd kill for world 3 reboot
So it is finally here.
this unironically looks worse than SwSh and Arceus. Do Digigays really?
Or does it look ironically better
>6 year old game with no budget on a dead console
>current year game from le biggesterest franchiserino

I can't deny that. I'm excited for it not for the graphics but for the monster raising aspect.
>Looks unironically worse
>Turns out it is much better
oh shit pokebros help
I mean, cyber sleuth looked better than swsh and Digimon games have small budgets (compared to pokemon) so what’s gamefreaks excuse other than the fact that people will buy it anyway?
>Muh graphics
Frick off Black person, you don't appreciate Digimon
I'll be doing the same as I did with the Persona Digimon. Buying it on Steam to support PC releases, and never playing it.
cyber sleuth is unironically a serviceable turn based 3vs3 jrpg. i grew up with world 2 so i felt pretty much at home with the combat system
It's alright. I played it on PS4 when it came out.
>mfw Accentier starts playing for the first time
They better re-release the digimon world remaster ost.
Also for Ranamon fans she finally getting printed.
>digimon world remaster ost
Bullshit that's an actual thing. I can only find this.
Here's the link it was a pre order bonus and at one point on the bandai site for download till it got taken down.
https://www.dualshockers.com/digimon-world-next-order-set-launch-january-31st-north-america-pre-order-bonuses-revealed/
Holy shit it's real.
It's cool right? Just a shame I can't get it the ost on the console. So here's hoping they re release it for the switch.
Also here's a gamefaq page with a link for download.

Do you mean this one?
https://mega.nz/folder/kBMjjAjL#SJvaL4hL_Rhd5orHNxxEkw
Yep that's the one.
Thank god Tommy is dead in the game. Last thing the game needed a few months ago was more Blue Hybrid support.
Tommy was definitely obnoxious but was kinda hoping Ranamon would be yellow just so yellow hybrid has more support instead of blue getting 3 waves of support.
Is the game still lol check 6 defense 1hit KOs and lol tamers? Did the xros wars expansion change anything
Nope still pretty much the same except the Xros introduced a new mechanic called "save" which makes it if you delete one of their digimon they can chuck the digivolutions under a tamer which can then digivolve.
Xros is the best deck right now.
That sounds like another bad thing
This game got so silly so fast
Oh well I just collect the cards now and thats fine
Thankfully my locals is mostly casual so you can play the game strongest deck there is probably Blue flair or Reaper but they are beatable.
Xros is yugioh special summon spam tier
You Save when your digimon dies to tuck under a tamer and Material Save tucks the sources instead of the top of the stack. Xros eats these tamer sources and/or from hand to reduce play costs.
Screw them over with the rookies that deny cost reductions
Thanks for the heads up
I need that card
Speaking of OSTs.
What the frick are these songs son? This is going off. I'm off to play Next Order right now.
Shiki ass
> Only PEGI 7
Sorry I'm not a child

If I hated cyber sleuths, would I like this one in comparison? Or is there no hope for me to get into digimon
it isn't modern world so it is already a sell to me. Or at least looks like. The whole digital city in cyber sleuth was a big turn off
>If I hated cyber sleuths, would I like this one in comparison?
Maybe.
It does play different, for whatever that's worth.

Different playstyle where its less the Pokemon/Person JRPG of Cyber Sleuth and with more focus on actually raising your mons.
If you hated cyber bawds that means you have at least some taste in video games.
The two games are completely different, give it a try.
The only thing this game has in common with Cyber bawd is having Digimon.
Hating Cyber bawds means you hate fun, so no, you will not like this game or any other game.
Cyber Sleuth was the very opposite of fun. Get some taste or end your subhuman life.
Sure if you enjoy being a min max autist to raise your digimon and crunching numbers to get 30 mins of playtime with your fully raised digimon, 40 max if you did everything right, then your diginon dying and having to do it all again? One of the best news I got this year, and literally one day after I finished Re:Digitize Decode.
Life is good.
Surely they're going to add more shit to it right? No way they do it with just a run button and Easy Mode.
Considering most people haven't played it, I think that's fine + it REALLY needs a run button
seething walkgay
People have been asking for this on PC for years. Most of them won't know if there's new content or not because it's the first time they'll be playing it.
>People have been asking for this on PC for years
That's the usual for Steam gamers.

anyone still playing the digimon mmo?

this and digitize are remakes of 1
lol
Like clockwork right on time
>The sky is purple
>What are you talking about?
>Like clockwork right on time
Stop saying stupid shit and people will stop calling you stupid. It's not that hard.
>ignoring this and digitize are remakes of 1
You're actually stupid
Id much MUCH rather have a redigitize decode remaster, with online battles, and more silly hats.
so in terms of combat it’s closer to yokai watch then pokemon

Or hell, maybe inherited signature moves like World 2 had.
the digirap sucks
>Lose battle
starts playing
Just port 1 to PC and modern consoles, you hacks
these games are so mind numbingly easy and shallow. it's like they're made for kids, but no kid has bought anything Digimon related in the last 15 years.
