It's for when you play the shit out of a game yet still want to play some more so you install some overhaul to change things up just enough for the playthrough to be fresh again. Just because some pump and dump vidya left and right doesn't mean there aren't homies who prefer instead to play one game that is fun for as long as possible. It's that simple.
