AI localization would end up the same. It's only as good as the people who approve of what it's saying, so you'll still end up with the same shit. The only real solution is to get fan translation groups to start doing more shit like using Cheat Engine to insert fansubs, or a separate overlay program that'd accomplish much of the same.
Fan translations are just as bad and getting worse every single year.
The main hub for translations (romhacking.net) has started refusing to host translation patches if they don't censor certain topics in their work and re-write them.
