>you don't understand without the darkspawn powers how can we sense when darkspawn are coming >alistair never once alerts you of darkspawn coming despite him saying that is specifically the reason he is going with you.
Sounds like your memory is shaky. He does mention looming darkspawn, mostly the stealthed kind, when you are adventuring in the wilds outside Ostragar. After that you don't need him because you have the ability.
Thought alistair was also needed to unseal the documents, anyway he does mention that there are darkspawn around but the dead bodies and nearly dead guy were a dead giveaway.
Are you moronic?
Its explained that they get demon abilities from drinking demon blood and start sensing demons
Its a warcraft fel blood rip-off + got night watch ripoff
Might have been a smart idea for them to fricking tell people that after the fifth time in history that Grey Wardens have slowly become undervalued in society due to nobody having any clue what their actual importance is.
grey wardens were kicked out of Ferelden for trying to depose the rightful king and because the new blight skipped several years of its regular cycle you low iq troony lorelet
Its a well guarded secret. Duncan is at fault for recruiting somebody whos obviously stuck in a childrens fantasy tale rather than the dark fantasy one.
This is the reason they keep it a secret. If they revealed that making Grey Warden is literally blood magic then the Templars would rain down a shitstorm on them.
They also have to exist or the Darkspawn would win.

Grey Warden recruitment is Blood Magic, so illegal and would make them a target of Templars and probably make them shunned more than before.

Wow is it time to spam the catalogue with shitty gen 6/7 rpgs already? We sure do need these threads every day. I'm certain they're attracting intelligent and insightful posters to the board.
>You want to become a Grey Warden? Here drink some toxic demon blood, if you live you can join
Defend this slop writting
Why don't you start by explaining how it needs to be defended?
becuase it's slop that why, now defend it paypiggy
>you don't understand without the darkspawn powers how can we sense when darkspawn are coming

He was having performance issues. Not uncommon. One in five Grey Wardens... they make a pill for that...
Sounds like your memory is shaky. He does mention looming darkspawn, mostly the stealthed kind, when you are adventuring in the wilds outside Ostragar. After that you don't need him because you have the ability.
alistar was a newbie in grey wardens he never finished his training
He literally does warn you in the korcari wilds
Thought alistair was also needed to unseal the documents, anyway he does mention that there are darkspawn around but the dead bodies and nearly dead guy were a dead giveaway.

>B-but you get demon abilities and sense le hecking demons coming
>Not a single thing changes gameplay wise
imagine defending this slop game
They're the only ones who can kill the archdemon dumbass
Might have been a smart idea for them to fricking tell people that after the fifth time in history that Grey Wardens have slowly become undervalued in society due to nobody having any clue what their actual importance is.
Nobody would join the wardens if they knew the Joining had 3/10 survival odds
They don't have to tell them about the joining, just tell them Grey Wardens are necessary to slay an Arch Demon.
grey wardens were kicked out of Ferelden for trying to depose the rightful king and because the new blight skipped several years of its regular cycle you low iq troony lorelet
What was the point of killing the guy who refused?
Its a well guarded secret. Duncan is at fault for recruiting somebody whos obviously stuck in a childrens fantasy tale rather than the dark fantasy one.
Because he was drafted. You cant just say no to the draft.

archdemons (the big bad of the fricking game) can't die if they're not killed by grey wardens, dumbass
>You want to
The Wardens are like 90% conscripts who chose killing Darkspawn over whatever much quicker death they were rescued from
I can't believe morrigan actually fricked him
Morrigan actually fricked me tho
What the frick was his problem anyway?
Orl*sians
Being a traitor that gets his last lifeblood spattered over his daughter's face
Badly written character. Much like Kreia in Kotor 2
Loghain did nothing wrong

I'm the same poster, I forgot to add this but I'm trans btw
Why does bioware make the grey wardens more cucked and moronic with each game?
Every single Dragon's Age faction got more moronic after the fifth blight.
That's just bad writing
because they're salty that the fans shat on the other games so they're trying to erase all the good will Origins built up
>Becomes a Grey Warden just as an excuse to leave his wife and child
he was so insanely unlikeable
genuinely, how do you even frick up the "drunk dwarf companion" trope?
>Oghren would rather die than take responsibility
>drinks dark spawn blood which can kill him
>just burps
>look, isn't he wacky?
Why discuss this game when we have BG3
>why discuss Plato when we have Jordan Peterson
Bad take
